People, be careful who you sayin' you like fado.Today I was at beautician I've seen 1st time in my life and was supposed to spend ther only 1 hour but when I told her I listen fado left after 3,5 ...
@bosskecar1 Fado is a traditional song of the portuguese people. An expressive way to sing of emotions and emotional times...so the title of this song... is "Portuguese Fado is ours".... does that help?..
@bosskecar1 I am just disappointed at seeing another ignorant comment of this type, but it isn't your fault, no one knows about Portugal or especially about its language. What a good thing I'm learning both Portuguese and Spanish. And what an even better thing that I'm gonna be interpreting for a Brazilian student at my school.
@bosskecar1 The song is a fado, and fado is a type of traditional/ folk urban music of Portugal. The title of the poem, in a not literal translation, means 'Portuguse Fado inside us'. The poem talks about the origins of this type of music, and a little bit of the history and the evolution of fado. Isn't a very well know song, but if you try to hear another songs of her repertoire you can find very well the translations (like ó Gente da Minha Terra, Chuva, Cavaleiro Monge, Primavera...)
@bosskecar1 In Portugal, we speak Portuguese, not spanish. And the language of this song is Portuguese. And Portuguese is the 6th most speaked language in the world, more than French or german.
Maravilhosa!!!

Tendo vivido 25 anos, lusófono, só agora descubro o encanto do fado. Tudo isso existe, tudo isso é triste, tudo isso é fado. Shame on me!
