  • I don't really have troubles understanding spoken english, but the questions linked to texts/records are so annoying. I ofthen pick the wrong choice, just because I disagree with the question maker. I don't think there's any way to improve that...

  • Yea, that basically says it all. If you're constantly trying to understand and analyze what the person is saying you're not really listening.

  • As good as ti get.

  • alright,i will try your method.

  • I think so that's not enough try not to understand what do you mean sir?

  • means to chill out

    let it flow naturally

not concerning too much about it you'll see how you comprehend things much easier

  • i want to practice my listening skills in australian english! its a bit harder than the american one.

  • thnks

  • well, I think british english is amazing but the thing is that it is really easy to understand if you are gonna practice your listening try it with the american one

  • I've only noticed an improvement in my english listening when life has stolen me all interest in this.

Don't try to get the meanings first.

The secret is to get familiarized with sole pronuntiation, so that you start seeing clear words where you saw a chaotic noise before. You don't have to do nothing for this, more than letting your ear listen to english from time to time.

Then meaning comes just by itself.

  • ya, this is what i really did when i planned to be good at listening , i keep on watching movies, tracks, news from cnn , abc , am sure everybody will make alot of use ot it if they follow the instructions

good luck for all - aries

but think about the us english and dont even try the british one, it sucks and makes u stupid , so keep the non stop updated us english

  • really??

i think it is not enough!

  • thanks~:D
