I owned a daughter of Khemosabi, her name was BE Khemosara. I rescued her from slaughter at New Holland, PA 10 years ago. I lost my sweet sweet girl on April 26,2011. I will miss her more than anything. She was 22, she shouldn't be gone. Human error killed her. I have wonderful memories, of her perseverence.I love this video it brings her closer.
I remember first seeing Khemosabi when I was a teenager in a magazine. I still have the picture, I ran across it the other day, it used to hang in my bedroom...that horse gives me goosebumps just lookin at him. There is none finer than him..for sure..perfection in horseflesh..
I have his grandbaby. his father is CS Khasanova =) but my guy is a runt and doesnt even look full arabian =( he looks like a quarter horse with his tail stuck up in the air, but his amazing personality makes him loveable =)

Makes me so sad! He was Beautiful! I was looking in Horse and Rider magazine Jan. 2011 issue and remembered his picture on the page titled 50 greatest horses and i was wowed on how famous he was. I am sorry for you loss.
i loved your video. i have a 23-26yr old rescue that is marked identical and with the same conformation as khemosabi and one breeder thinks he is a son of khemo. i rescued him in fla. in 2005. his name is habibi. if anyone has any info on him contact me at dancer716@q.com. he also has that charismatic personality.
I am sorry to say Bert (my great uncle) died earlier this year. He was in his 90s and lived a great life, I am very proud whenever someone at school mentions Khemo and I can say I know the great people who owned him. I was honored to take a cruise with them in '07 and will forever remember all 3 of them. Thank you Uncle Bert and Aunt Ruth bor completely babying me and etiquitte lessons.
We have one of his grandsons and one of his granddaughters :) they are very special horses. His grandson HH Valentino was my first horse and a rescue horse but he still is my dressage horse 3 time reserve national champion and 7 time top ten. I am showing him 4th level dressage currently and he will be my mount next year to ride in the NAJYRC. This year will be our last youth nationals and we are hoping to bring home some more roses.
Thank you for making such a beautiful tribute to the greatest and most beautiful Arabian Stallion of all time! He was truely amazing and he did a awesome job of passing his greatness on to his offspring!
Brought tears to my eyes. I was fortunate to own Khemo Gibran (Khemosabi x Gaazahr). He shared those HUGE, warm brown eyes. He passed on at age 26. Thank you Khemosabi and you live on in my barn through your many grandsons and granddaughters.
My daughter has a Stallion that is Double Khemosabi pedigree. I have made a Book on Khemo that is several inches thick! It has so many beautiful pictures of Khemosabi in it!
It is Priceless! I,too, have always Loved Khemosabi! Thank you for the Video!
I own a Yearling Stallion that looks like Khemosabi, but is not Khemo bloodline up close.
He does share relatives about the 4th generation back!,Granny
Khemosabi is by far my favorite arabian stallion! My purebred gelding HH Valentino is his grandson and that horse means more to me than anything. We rescued him 7 years ago and he was my first horse, he has made so many dreams come true for me. Together we have 3 reserve national championships and 8 top tens all in dressage. We are moving up the levels and now competing at 3rd and 4th level. He is an amazing athlete and im sure he got that from Khemosabi :)
I also have Khemo grandchildren - Khlown (gelding), Khelina (mare) full brother and sister, 19 and 20 years old. The have been my closest friends for over 18 years. As a 3+ year old Khlown won Reserved Champion in Arabian halter at Stanislause County Fair, CA 1995, 1996.
Khemosabi grand son is the father to all of my foals, I breed 1/2 arabian and 1/2 paints and the line continues into some very colored up half arabians and the grand champion bloodline continues into the pinto line... Fabulous off spring
@Peaceofmindfound. I have a Khemo grandson. And he is half pinto. Was he maybe born at your farm. I can't remmeber his parents but his full name is Khemo Kholors.
I have a grandson of his! He looks exactly like bask! with his grandfathers coloring! And for white socks and a blaze! He's turning 6 this year. Hes a hunter! I love him to death!
Oh wow! Amazingly gorgeous. I have horses. (20) and I HAD a Khemosabi son. My mom did. We called him Kho (Koa) He was a stallion. We were not breeding him anymore, he needed to be bred, goegeous, but getting old. So we gave him to a loving home where he will be happy with I think 3 mares.
I have a great grandson - and he is SO Much like his great grand father.. His Name is Khemos Firey Comet... got the belly spot! bay and Talented... does it all...
My husband and I went to Scotsdale Horse Show in 1997, and we went to Khemo's 31st birthday party. Oh it was amazing............. he was so GOD LIKE>>>> what a horse, so amazing., I cried the day he died, and his photo still is on my wall..... Play on Khemo., 10,000 people that day stood up and praised you for 20 minutes......
He was amazing...Sired gorgeous & Typy babies! One of my Best Friends owned his Son.."Khemosabi Son" Each baby was a Beauty! Looked all the Same...Totally Awesome! One of the greatest Arabs & I was a Qtr. horse person! RIP Khemo...
That's sad he only lived to be 33-34 years. I would have loved to meet such a gorgeous stallion as Khemosabi. He died when I was only 9 years and 11 months old.
UNEQUALLED ~ always has been, always will be .... KHEMOSABI. I the pleasure of meeting Ruth Husband at Scottsdale........amazing woman! I also talked with B. Paul Hasband at US last year at the Midwest party, he shared some amazing stories of the legendary Khemo.
Khemosabi created his own "breed" of Arabian that is still astoundingly evidant today!!! LONG LIVE THE LEGEND ~ THE GREAT AMERICAN HERO, KHEMOSABI+++!
Wow. What can I say. Thank you Cwgirlattitude. Thank you for reminding me that Khemo really was special to other people. Perspective is sometimes difficult to grasp. I rode Khemosabi, and I rode Jurneeka, his mom. They were both extraordinary riding partners with unique personalities. I will make sure that my mom and dad, Ruth and Bert see this film. It will mean a lot to each of them. It would seem that Khemo-power lives.
I would be honored if Ruth and Bert see this video. I do miss that little bay horse with the huge personality. It still brings goosebumps to me to remember that I am the breeder of two of his youngest get. Sure do wish I had them back
I had the privilege of seeing Khemosabi several times, and I have to say, he's far more beautiful in person than these pictures can ever show. But still a very beautiful tribute to a great horse.
Our mare is going to be bred to his son Khartoon Khlassic as soon as possible. We are very excited, especially because an own son can be tough to find; let alone one that looks so much like his sire. :)
I am a very big fan of this stallion and am happy to own the breyer.
I have loved Khemosabi for over 30 years when I found him on youtube it brought memories and feelings Ive not felt in a long time. He will always be my favorite stallion.
This brings memories for me, Ive loved Khemosabi for alot of years, he was and still is my favorite stallion for over 30 years now. Brings goosebumps to me.
What a great video,CWGirl-it brought tears to my eyes. Khemo was the reason my sister and I got involved with horses again. After seeing and meeting him several times, we bought an 8 month old Khemo son. He is now 21 years old and an absolute treasure. He's beautiful-looks like dad of course-funny, kind and everybody loves him because he freely gives kisses. Life would not be the same without his beautiful presence. Thx for honoring Khemosabi with this wonderful video and perfect song.
My parents own one of his sons, Khentucky. He's in his twenties and still going strong. "Tucker" looks almost identical to Khemo, except his blaze is wider. He has also won several championships for western and halter in his younger days. We were very lucky to get Khemosabi and Khentucky together for a picture in one of his last public appearances. Thank you for a great video!
He's probably one of the finest conformed arabians in history. Once in a lifetime do you see them that near perfection. And he had the pretty to go along with it.
Yes he most definately was..I had the pleasure seeing him quite alot when he moved to Rancho Valle Del Sol in Bonsall, CA. As I only lived about 45 min away
Wow. I read in the book Arabian Legends that he had a look in his eye like: "I like you, let's be friends." They said a photo could never capture it. That true?

He is absolutely magnificent!!! now I know where one of Khemosabi's grandcolt (his grandson) Scandalous Legacy (aka LEGS) gets his good looks from :) I am reading a blog, about the lady who owns Legs... it is quite fascinating reading.
Khemo is the horse that got me hooked on Arabains. I was lucky enough to own a grandson of his and Khemo passes on his attitude and looks every time, even 5 generations down! He is the best all time producer of quality Arabians ever!!
This is such a great video. I am in college and one of the horses donated is Khemosabi's ggranddaughter, BR Kheonna Bey, and I love her to death!! I told the barn manager that when she gets to be at the ritiring age, I want her. She is so gorgeous and just plain awesome.
I had the great fortune to have seen Khemosabi and many of his offspring. He was a multi-national champion in both halter and performance, (very rare) and was the all-time leading sire of champions for years. His gorgeous style and type came from his mother's father, Fadjur. He was incredibly prepotent as a sire. I owned several wonderful Arabians from his son, Kaiyoum. Khemosabi was and is an all-time ledgend in the Arabian horse industry. Thank you!
