  • I owned a daughter of Khemosabi, her name was BE Khemosara. I rescued her from slaughter at New Holland, PA 10 years ago. I lost my sweet sweet girl on April 26,2011. I will miss her more than anything. She was 22, she shouldn't be gone. Human error killed her. I have wonderful memories, of her perseverence.I love this video it brings her closer.

  • I remember first seeing Khemosabi when I was a teenager in a magazine. I still have the picture, I ran across it the other day, it used to hang in my bedroom...that horse gives me goosebumps just lookin at him. There is none finer than him..for sure..perfection in horseflesh..

  • I have his grandbaby. his father is CS Khasanova =) but my guy is a runt and doesnt even look full arabian =( he looks like a quarter horse with his tail stuck up in the air, but his amazing personality makes him loveable =)

  • ive owned one of his granddaughters.. Khocolate Dream

  • My lesson horse that i ride (And love) is the granddaughter of Khemosabi

  • i'd becareful with taking pictures off of others magazines coz technically unless you asked their permission and wa sgranted it you are in violation of copyrights using for example the AHW magazine pix .. not trying to be mean just saying for future

  • Makes me so sad! He was Beautiful! I was looking in Horse and Rider magazine Jan. 2011 issue and remembered his picture on the page titled 50 greatest horses and i was wowed on how famous he was. I am sorry for you loss.

    R.I.P Khemosabi.

  • i loved your video. i have a 23-26yr old rescue that is marked identical and with the same conformation as khemosabi and one breeder thinks he is a son of khemo. i rescued him in fla. in 2005. his name is habibi. if anyone has any info on him contact me at dancer716@q.com. he also has that charismatic personality.

  • I am blessed enough to work with one of Khemo's grandfoals. She is such a joy to work with!!!

  • What a great friend he must have been to someone..

  • I am sorry to say Bert (my great uncle) died earlier this year. He was in his 90s and lived a great life, I am very proud whenever someone at school mentions Khemo and I can say I know the great people who owned him. I was honored to take a cruise with them in '07 and will forever remember all 3 of them. Thank you Uncle Bert and Aunt Ruth bor completely babying me and etiquitte lessons.

  • That's sad he only lived to be 33-34 years. I would have loved to meet such a gorgeous stallion as Khemosabi. He died when I was only 9 years and 11 months old.

  • My desert Jewel is a khimo granddaughter

  • UNEQUALLED ~ always has been, always will be .... KHEMOSABI. I the pleasure of meeting Ruth Husband at Scottsdale........amazing woman! I also talked with B. Paul Hasband at US last year at the Midwest party, he shared some amazing stories of the legendary Khemo.

Khemosabi created his own "breed" of Arabian that is still astoundingly evidant today!!! LONG LIVE THE LEGEND ~ THE GREAT AMERICAN HERO, KHEMOSABI+++!

  • Wow. What can I say. Thank you Cwgirlattitude. Thank you for reminding me that Khemo really was special to other people. Perspective is sometimes difficult to grasp. I rode Khemosabi, and I rode Jurneeka, his mom. They were both extraordinary riding partners with unique personalities. I will make sure that my mom and dad, Ruth and Bert see this film. It will mean a lot to each of them. It would seem that Khemo-power lives.

  • I would be honored if Ruth and Bert see this video. I do miss that little bay horse with the huge personality. It still brings goosebumps to me to remember that I am the breeder of two of his youngest get. Sure do wish I had them back

  • I had the privilege of seeing Khemosabi several times, and I have to say, he's far more beautiful in person than these pictures can ever show. But still a very beautiful tribute to a great horse.

  • i dont usually like arabians but tis one is so cute and wow amazing

  • mi favourite arabian sire EVER

  • Khemosabi is nothing short of amazing.

Our mare is going to be bred to his son Khartoon Khlassic as soon as possible. We are very excited, especially because an own son can be tough to find; let alone one that looks so much like his sire. :)

I am a very big fan of this stallion and am happy to own the breyer.

  • I have loved Khemosabi for over 30 years when I found him on youtube it brought memories and feelings Ive not felt in a long time. He will always be my favorite stallion.

  • This brings memories for me, Ive loved Khemosabi for alot of years, he was and still is my favorite stallion for over 30 years now. Brings goosebumps to me.

  • My horse Reo is either is grandson or his great-grandson and has his beautiful face.

  • my old trainer has like one of the last Khemo stallions, Khemo's Tonto Starr

  • What a great video,CWGirl-it brought tears to my eyes. Khemo was the reason my sister and I got involved with horses again. After seeing and meeting him several times, we bought an 8 month old Khemo son. He is now 21 years old and an absolute treasure. He's beautiful-looks like dad of course-funny, kind and everybody loves him because he freely gives kisses. Life would not be the same without his beautiful presence. Thx for honoring Khemosabi with this wonderful video and perfect song.

  • I have a grand son out of him.

His name is Khadilac and he is trained for reining

  • I know Khadilac.

My mom and I almost bought him instead of WV Khaameo to be raised with his sister WV Khiowa's Khristal.

  • Wow, it was great to see all these images of the wonderful Khemosabi. At 0:32, is that Fadjur in the photo with him?

  • Yes it is Fadjur in that photo..was taken in Santa Barbara, CA

  • Yes it was Fadjur, but I think that it was in Monterey.

  • Aww! I love Khemosabi! My trainer owns a stallion by him. =]

  • Tears running down my face! How exquisite.

  • My parents own one of his sons, Khentucky. He's in his twenties and still going strong. "Tucker" looks almost identical to Khemo, except his blaze is wider. He has also won several championships for western and halter in his younger days. We were very lucky to get Khemosabi and Khentucky together for a picture in one of his last public appearances. Thank you for a great video!

  • Ah yes Khentucky, I do believe I saw him at Scottsdale when Khemo had his 30th birthday celebration

  • Great video! man he was beautiful...

He's probably one of the finest conformed arabians in history. Once in a lifetime do you see them that near perfection. And he had the pretty to go along with it.

  • Yes he most definately was..I had the pleasure seeing him quite alot when he moved to Rancho Valle Del Sol in Bonsall, CA. As I only lived about 45 min away

  • Wow. I read in the book Arabian Legends that he had a look in his eye like: "I like you, let's be friends." They said a photo could never capture it. That true?

  • Wish someone had some video of him...he was gorgeous!

  • If you look up "Harry Cooper," there's a tribute to him (Harry Cooper). It has a little segment of Khemo in there. The vid's picture says *Padron 1994 I think.

  • who sing this song.? and what's the name of song,?

  • LoneStar sings it..and it called One More Day

  • thenks

  • The song is by Diamond Rio, One more day. Just wanted to help. I have 6 Khemo horses 3 mares and 3 studs, They are loving, but the best part was I did alot of the photo shoots with him, I worked and lived with @ Hidden Oaks Ranch in Valley Center. What a great horse.

  • Outstanding tribute to the incomparable KHEMOSABI! Thank you for sharing.

  • If I was to ever get a tattoo, it'd have to be the last image of Khemosabi, with the wings. He is absolutely magnificent!!! now I know where one of Khemosabi's grandcolt (his grandson) Scandalous Legacy (aka LEGS) gets his good looks from :) I am reading a blog, about the lady who owns Legs... it is quite fascinating reading.

  • Khemo is the horse that got me hooked on Arabains. I was lucky enough to own a grandson of his and Khemo passes on his attitude and looks every time, even 5 generations down! He is the best all time producer of quality Arabians ever!!

  • This is such a great video. I am in college and one of the horses donated is Khemosabi's ggranddaughter, BR Kheonna Bey, and I love her to death!! I told the barn manager that when she gets to be at the ritiring age, I want her. She is so gorgeous and just plain awesome.

  • Beautiful video. I have a gggrandson "Granmoshahn" and he is the love of my life.

  • how good of you to honor him & show us how much you

loved him, perfect song, i cry every time.

  • I cried watching this,,,, it was so SO touching

I feel your pain, I only wish all horses had the love

you've given him, how wonderful/ /God Bless you

  • I had the great fortune to have seen Khemosabi and many of his offspring. He was a multi-national champion in both halter and performance, (very rare) and was the all-time leading sire of champions for years. His gorgeous style and type came from his mother's father, Fadjur. He was incredibly prepotent as a sire. I owned several wonderful Arabians from his son, Kaiyoum. Khemosabi was and is an all-time ledgend in the Arabian horse industry. Thank you!

  • Oh the great beautiful Khemosabi

I have his grandaughter Day Star

she is now a champion also

    they all follow his traits.
