1050p doesn't even exist if you mean 1080p yes it does support that but it's like on the 360, it's a stretched 720p because no game has already been directly coded onto 1080p.

I think it would just stretch the 720p to 1680x1050.
Check if your monitor is HD capable (HDCP) and see what it supports.
just ask.. i playing my ps3 on HDTV plasma tv & lcd tv.
