well yea but Murray's already 23 and he hasn't done much in his career, people have to stop saying that he's young and still got plenty of time. Not in today's tennis. Now you have to peak early and win as much as you can before you hit 30. Look how young players start to peak at the age of 20-21(Nadal, Djokovic,Del Potro,Hewitt,Safin)
Just let Federer and Nadal collect most of the Slams for the next 2-3 years with Del Po and Djokovic winning the rest. Murray will have to wait some more time
Federer didnt get his first slam until he was 23. there is no rush, there is no date. Aggassi won 8 of his titles after the age of 28. Fed and Nadal will now struggle to do what they did in the last 4 years as they have more to battle with. Murray being one of them. We will see what happens going forward. I have no doubt Murray will be taking some of those slams...
ach you always get chavs posting comments.. liverpoolarescum: the name in itself shows the intelligence and worth of that particulars posters comments. Come on Andy
ever since 2005 after nadal became world no.2 and federer was at no.1, world number 3 is the new world number 1. but not only has murray done great to become the new "world no.1" by overtaking djokovic during the clay season, he edged out nadal from his no.2 spot, that is just unthinkable... and now he even has a chance to over take federer as no.1 in the US open... but chances are he's gonna drop back to #3 with all the points he has to defend, so number 1 is either now or never, murray
Murray is brilliant. I love watching him play. I also like and respect the other top players. Dissin' Murray because he beat your favorite is negative and mean spirited. Nadal wouldn't behave like that and neither should his fans. The guys at the top have earned their places and all deserve respect.
murray will be lucky to be in the top 10 by the the end of this year..hope im wrong though!!

Today's Australian Open result proves Murray has what it takes. Nadal is great, so is Andy. Why can't we celebrate two brilliant players?
jazzy9191 2 years ago
no offence, andy, but with federer and nadal around the top spot is unreachable, they're too consistent in slams, especially federer

Yes they were.....but everything changes...and this will too.
As when Samprass / Mac/ Borg all thought they would never be beat......and guess what. they do.
It will make all the better for mens tennis to have 6 players in the mix.
