The Office writers dealt with the transition of the show better than I could have imagined. No joke, they actually did a much, much smoother job than I thought they would. I congratulate them for that! It still retains that spirit and humour and ensemble feel that it did before.

I love the character of Robert California. Spader plays it soooo well. He's got a magnetism so different from any other character on the show.

What makes his character so great is his complete stoicism. That makes him a highly unpredictable and volatile brew which grants opportunity for the office but is at the same time highly, highly threatening.

I hope there's many Machiavellian schemes to come.
