What were the upper side walls like on the 1983 Ward? I know Baltimore County the oldest Wards they had during my school life the ceiling was the same exact shape as the roof and the 1986 Ward/Fords have the upper sidewalls above the windows. But those are no longer in Baltimore County's fleet.
It depends on where the bus is. I know that there is at least 1 state that has the 2 red lights even on new buses. Most places will let u keep the older buses the way they are if they did not have amber lights when the bus was made.
Awesome buses. I ve always had a things for buses ever since i was little because my dad drives a bus and we had a 1978 bluebird on a chevy chassie that sat in are yard that i used to play on and me and my dad work at a thomas dealership so i ve always love buses.
Wow... Great Slide. I think the Thomas Body style is the best out of all of them. First bus I rode was a 1987 GMC Thomas 5 speed. I loved that bus. It was governed at 45mph and made an awesome humming sound coasting along in 5th gear. Also, it made a screeching sound starting off in 2nd gear.... brings back a lot of memories. These new diesels don't have any character like these old 80 models.
