@JustAintthatWay I also remember that SNL performance very well. Actually I was searching for it and that's what brought me here, though I was pretty sure NBC would've pulled it anyway. I wish NBC would put it on Hulu or something. And I also love that lyric.
I heard this song years ago on a jukebox, and I only got round to buyiing it recently. Strangely, when I heard their live version of it, I was in Rome as well. Never managed to see them in concert, but I think I'd know most of the songs. This is one of my favourites - thank you for posting!
I so regret that I couldn't be in any Eurthmics' concert. Not that I didn't want to, but they've never been where I'm from (Argentina). And from all their tours, this one was the one that I would have liked to see the most.

must be 20 years ago now but still vivid in my memory the energy and raw emotion was palpable coming thru the tv
