It seems that asexual characters in shows or movies are highly intelligent. Do you think that there is a correlation between intelligence and asexuality? I mean, obviously ALL intelligent people are not asexual and not all asexuals have above average intelligence. Perhaps, it is a stereotype? Most asexuals seem pretty intelligent to me but maybe I am biased. I am struggling with my asexuality this week and think maybe I should just look at having sex as a social function? idk/confused

@RockofAces I think that, at the very least, people who identify as asexual tend to be more aware of the world, which is how they have come to identify as asexual. I know that many people are unaware of asexuality as an orientation and that many asexuals stumbled upon the term to describe how they feel. Perhaps asexuals often come across as intelligent because they have a broad awareness of the world.
