I actually enjoyed this film and I love the X-Men comics. I was disappointed with Deadpool but I thought it was an alright film and had my favourite character as the main star.

After reading some X-Comics: Eh it's OK.

Now having seen it again: *vomits from disgust*

So basically, if your a hardcore X-Fan you will hate this movie.And if you haven't read a comic before and are only satisfied by nonstop action and you don't pay attention to the story or character development, you'll be blown away.

accessiblity doesn't = a good movie. I'm not 100% comic book fan of wolverine, I know him and his origin but didn't read the origin series, maybe I should go pick it up. But this movie's story was garbage. It had no development of the characters and at parts felt childish and rushed. The only redeeming qualities for this film is the action, hugh jackman, and the story for the first 30-40 mins fo the film. After the 1st 40 mins the movie goes way down hill. IMO watchmen's WAY better, as a film.

I saw Wolverine Origins on Saturday having high hopes, even though critics didn't like it. I am not the biggest X-Men reader so I was going as a movie watcher.

I was disappointed. The up to the middle was pretty until the end. It felt like it fell apart. There are movies like Iron Man where your rooting for the hero but I couldn't do it for this one. Otherwise, the action was very great, especially with the gun scenes. And was the old people killing necessary?

I'd say 5/10.

You can never please everyone. Fox will go were the money is, whether thats the hardcore fan, or the guy who never reads a comic.

I was dissapointed about wolverines lack of "faith" to the comic but I still enjoyed it as a "popcorn flick".

But the Visual effects were lackluster at best.

The best special effects are the ones that go unnoticed So i guess there may have been some things so good I didn't see them.. but alot of the CG stood out like a sore thumb.

Given that alot of the things, you know can only be achieved by cg.. compare it with some other movies already out and its obvious it could have been done better.

And some things didnt even need to be CG.. like cranes and logs in the scene where he is going to work!

The effects were old-school for no particular reason and the CG was painfully noticeable.

Remember the ending with the kids running to the chopper? HOLY CRAP! They couldn't just have a chopper in a field and tape it? They had them running to a CG field and it looked SO bad. You can kinda tell they were running in place. lol. Did they run out of money that badly?

Eh the movie was pretty good but as far as Deadpool...it was kinda more of his own movie origin here then a real appearance...I'm still hopping for that rated R deadpool musical spinoff though...I'm pretty sure that Gambit did not have telekinetics he just levitates them with epicness...x-men origins magneto may not be such a great idea though as it's hard to top the opening in X1. Alright long coment over...

I don't know, I haven't seen it and I don't know if its worth the hype surrounding it. I think it might be one of those ones you could just rent later. But the reviews are so mixed, idk. I haven't read the comics so I'm like you Grace, but the trailer didn't really impress me, though I did like the first 2 movies. Is it worth seeing?

The X-men origin movies are going to be hard. This was a hit cause everyone knows Wolverine and wanted more. Your going to need another larger then life character that will attract more then comic geeks. They should stick with another ensemble X-men piece or story. Magneto has potential if its about him and Xavier. Their story, friendship and how they became enemies. Another good show. I saw State of play tonight and enjoyed it.
