Why is is so cool to slag Bruce Springsteen? Both versions are great. I happen to prefer the Mavericks' version but that's no reason to speak bad about the Boss. Never were a Springsteen fan?  Your bloody loss I'd say. Or what? There's so much better music on the radio today. Get real!

Springsteen is one of those incredibly overrated guys that comes along about every 10 years. All he ever really did was copy. This song for example, is very Buck Owens / Beatles. His 'big' hit, "Born To Run" is such a Brian Wilson ripoff, he owes Brian co-writer credit. At least the Mav's put some swing in this thing... Malo is much more naturally gifted singer than gravel throated Bruce.

Got that right. Listening to/watching that guy mug for the crowd for 4 hours should qualify as torture. A couple of his hits were OK, but Bruce doesn't deserve near the following he seems to have. Can't keep his bullshit politics to himself either.

The Mavericks on the other hand, I can listen to them over and over, and have been doing so for years.

yea, you're right - bruce is just an idiot whose music is torture. must be why raul, among countless other artists, have opted to cover him, b/c he contributes so very little to the songwriting world....get a freaking clue. don't like his politics, fine, you're entitled. but mocking his musical contribution only reflects your incredible ignorance....

Springsteen is a fantastic singer with great range & writes incredible melodies.He's the far superior singer.There's nothing difficult about singing through your nose:)Their version is oka,but Springsteen's is beautiful-
