  • China won't like having to rely on anyone else for its energy, a portrait of Mao will replace the American flag lol

  • From one of my favorite books I learned of something called a "sustainability curve".Short of telling people they can't have children, combined with more and more of the world changing to a Western culture including our diet,(I'm Canadian btw) I don't foresee us as a world ever achieving that "sustainability curve".Our population growth and our tech make high demands of our world.Either we make some Very hard decisions or we expand and feed the machine.Read a History book.Prodict what we'll do.

  • Think of it as us just combing the moons serface. It would be no more harmful to the moon then a Japanese garden. And I might add, that there is no ecosytem to effect. And unless the Earth has a sudden massive die off (I realize that sounds dramatic, but how else shall I phrase it?), we will need the resouces as a race to servive. Even if we do everything right, simply by growing in population we will become unsustainable. Do we barrow population controls from China?

  • am I the only person who is wondering if messing with the mass of the moon is a good idea???

  • More material falls to the surface of the earth and the moon every day than we would be taking from the moon in a year. Tons of stuff falls to earth and onto the moon every single day in for form of meteors. No worries about changing the mass of either of these objects by a billionth of a percent over the course of mining even the entire surface of the moon (10s of thousands and thousands of years)

  • i can believe that only 14,684 ppl watched this

this is going to be big in a couple of years

  • Polarity of opinions on whether to harvest moon. The interest in it makes you wonder if its actually a forward move that benefits across the board or just consumption that will only benefit the people who conquer it without understanding consequentially the effect it will have across the board. Their better off looking no further than their backyard which they have a hard enough time with as it is. Get that right first.

  • 15 Billion. Thats the projected limit that Earth can sustain. And we're at about 6.97 Billion. Thats the estimated population as of July 1st.

  • Great, potentially solved the clean energy problem, now onto population, water and a planet that can't sustain more that 6B people.

  • I believe the development of Helium 3 mining is critical to the advancment of power production. Both in supplying the earth with a clean, and non-radioactive source, and in supplying the Power needed to allow a VASIMR engine to be scaled up solving our space exploration problems. I believe it would be a symbiotic relationship. Each program would flourish with the help of the other. Ones power needs would be met, and the others need for Safe, Cheap, Relyable transport would be satisfied.

  • Well NASA is Broke America is Broke and if NASA ever get up and running again it will be well and truly after 2024 before going back to the moon.

Wow.....that make me sad thinking about how sh*t we are as a race.

We will be wiped out by a natural disaster (Metor/comet) or we will just end up wiping ourself out with nuke over scarse recourses.

  • it is a good idea,but

before we remove tons of this stuff we should think about replacing the mass.

how will it effect our tides and orbit and the poles.

besides,we already have unlimited electricity in the ionospere more than enough to solve all energy problems,

and the technolgy is over 100 years old

    'TESLA'

  • @staysea36 Dude the moon weights 72320000000000000000 tons. I think it would be fine without a million.

  • Most people are so simple minded and see no further than their noses. The reason you morons dont hear about helium 3 is because the global warmist fags want to make billions off solar. Make no mistake idiot, we are going to the moon and we are going to mine it. Man kinds expantion begins as soon as we can change the stupid thought patterns the LIBS have instilled in your brains. Muslim hate America for three reasons. 1. ABORTION 2. GAYS and 3. SPREADING BOTH 1 and 2 to other countries. IDIOTS!!

  • If a metric tonne can only supply 10 million people for ONE year, the how long do you reckon it'll take to strip the moon to supply the earth??

If Hydrogen is stripping the reactor walls then think of something new.

Finally a bit of sacre mongering, because I can't help myself and this seems like the place to post silly notions. If the moon looses mass won't that effect it's hold over global tides? Just a thought...

  • Do you remember "Battle Zone" game on PC? Here it comes!)))

  • *GASP* SPACE BATTLES NO WAY

  • I agree about evolving beyond the consumer mentality 1st. Most people are stupid. I'm not saying they're stupid cause they don't think what i think, They're stupid cause they don't think. All they inspire to do is eat drink and fuck. Look at the world today. Everything is for sale. Watching people sell their sell respect has become everyday entertainment. Don't blame the ones who sell stupid shit, blame the ones that buy it.

  • i hope china owns the moon, instead of the jewish run america who caused the reasont near world econimical calapse.

  • @SolidTube911 With their obviously faked moonwalk (which was totally underwater) I highly doubt China will own the Moon.

  • Yes it is a mad mans dream, wow full of greed.

  • is it smart to mine the thing that controls our tides and has other effect on us here on earth?

  • HA Edgar Mitchell has reported that he has info from NASA employees that aliens have been visiting earth ;D

  • What a joke. Russia has never left low earth orbit and this clown thinks he's going to initiate a large-scale mining operation on the moon. Yeah, right.

Let me put it this way, if there was helium 3 on the bottom of the ocean we would find it too difficult, expensive and dangerous to mine. Well, the moon is much more difficult, expense and dangerous than the bottom of the ocean. Just landing people there is so hard that we haven't done it in 40 years. These people are delusional.

  • why dont they bake all our nuclear weapons for this Helium 3 or maybe think bigger and pillage a different moon? like i dont know for sure but 10 million tonnes missing from the moon could really fuck us one day. like are we not already worrying about the effects of burning fossil fuels on our ocean now we are going to detune the timer a few semitones seems a bit disastrous?

  • watch moon rising. that's all I can say

  • on h3 china will probably pay russia to do it with american facilities.

  • can't wait! so there will be routine flights to the moon by 2030, sooo cooooooool. So that means nuclear fusion will be a reality by then, so going to mars will be that much cheeper! it's al possible thx to the moon!!!

  • I just knew WW3 would be in space!

  • @rubiks15 then wont it be Space War 1 instead? lol

  • @siddepoo

No, because its the people of the world. Local has nothing to do with it. Now if we were fighting little green men, then year it'd be Space war 1.

  • @rubiks15 good point mate

  • h-4 found in mars 1 pound of mars dirt power eart for 50 years lets goo to mars lol

  • @standup91 we have plenty of helium 4 here on earth and you cant power a whole lot with it.

  • does anyone see aything wrong with even thinking about mining the fucking moon wtf no wonder aliens dont wanna talk to us(except for once and they told us they dont want nothing to do with us) were to fucking selfish

  • This is way fucking cooler than wind turbines.

  • @Frenchcrip

They may be the ones with the money and power to be mining it and to maintain control over governments by their ownership of the resources, but they already own the world. I'd rather they own the world with clean energy than dirty fossil fuels. One problem at a time. Solving the energy crisis will help solve global warming and the global population crisis and it provide humanity with all the energy it would ever need.

  • @PugzM but imagine : a ressource that is only available on the moon will be sold at the highest price, only very rich people will brag about respecting the Earth

There are plenty of totally clean energy sources, but selling something that is reserved to an elite => everybody wants to have it, then prices raise

Selling something that is easy to produce is not financially interesting

-Geothermal energy (2000 years of energy for the entire world just with this one)

    -Ocean wave energy

    -Wind energy

  • this is good because it will lead to the development of cheap spacecrafts, boost space tourism and new tech discoveries that will be good for all including medicine. There might be some disputes, but at the end of the game, what count is the result: a new fuel alternative.

  • @wspol624 you forgot Europe. ESA is the biggest space agency second to NASA. however ESA aren't doing any human payload at the moment. only Russia and Usa. Europe certainly have the resources to do it. it is really up to political will. like vice for USA. china got plenty of it but are not in the forefront of space advancement at the moment

  • A pipe dream maybe, but all the space fairing countrys should be seeking to form one international space agency instead of these fragmented struggling national programs. Exploring space should be an internationally funded program for the common good of all men, not just for the good of one nation.

  • Pretty bizarre but my grandchildren will look at the moon like we do with the gulf today.

  • @MikDonsen minus the dead seagulls

  • @wspol624 Well said.

  • @wspol624

You mean any cooperation that is financially capable.

  • man rules earth but he does not rule the universe, mining the moon hahaha you will soon realise theirs allready someone up their

  • I'm gonna be a space pirate, lurking for unexpecting H3 transport vessels.

  • @qwasd0r like thew moovie space pirats from 1984

  • @qwasd0r THOU SHALT NOTH RAID MAH COMANEH! >:(

  • @qwasd0r can I join you in your space venture of robbing unsuspecting space transports

  • fk helium 3. power the world on pretzels.

  • fuck helium 3. power the world on pretzels. problem solved.

  • @GrudgyDiablo

guess what! America ain't going to the moon. Barack Obama canceled it. Instead of tapping in to the moon's energy supply and WATER supply and it's launching ground to mars. Or even just rebuilding our infrastructure. He is wasting it on those who will never do anything with there life.

  • @MuskratandRatman Ya i know hes a fucking idiot.

  • @MuskratandRatman with THEIR life*

  • @marriissol

    hahaha!

  • @MuskratandRatman baraxk obama is a fucking peice of shit fuck him

  • @NBABALLER88

    agreed!!!

  • we've been to the moon and back on six seperate trips....

  • let the moon wars begin

after that its the star wars

  • what's the name of kulcinski & schmitt's company to exploit helium 3 from the moon?

  • but wait a sec. Helium - 3.

ok so lets say a mining camp is built.

it is very likely that someone if going to fuck up and then ......FIRE!!!

the entire sureface of the moon will catch on fire....lol just like the mines in China.

and we will be looking a second sun.

  • @dacoitdada are you stupid or you're really a fuking moron? there are thousand of engineers working on this..... you think you're smarter than them? lol.

  • @dacoitdada He-3 is not combustible. Fusion isn't the same as combustion, either. So WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?

  • @dacoitdada lmao dat would be funny

  • Not quite have just been brainwashed by Avatar ;D

  • I totally agree the opinion at 1:25

  • I agree with that opinion too. However, it's highly unlikely we'll ever colonize the moon in the close future, if at anytime (except small basecamps).

However, in light of the current energy and enviromental crisis, mining the moon "respectfully" for energy to prevent any major social/political/enviromental catastrophes on earth while we slowly "adapt" our technology (i.e. clean up our mess) to be more harmonious with the rest of the universe - and thus ourselves, is not that bad an idea.

  • @CalvinOnTheTube I agree with your comment to agree with 1:25!

  • hahaha, so im guessing you don't want to look into free energy right? It sure seems like it. For someone that's so interested in UFO technology you sound pretty ignorant.

  • What if we build a civilization on the moon and use the helium 3 there, without the hassle of bringing it to Earth

  • "Civilizing" the moon would require a tremendous amount of ressources; ressources which we don't currently have. If we could use -some- of the helium 3 present on the moon to prevent a cataclysmic setback of human civilization here on earth, then it'd probably be worth it. However, if humanity as a whole sticks to it's current way of thinking (short-term planning for immediate benefits), then mining the moon will only worsen our situation, like a junky longing for heroin, always seeking more.

  • @stupidgod123 A fair forecast! The moonenite opportunist will deploy a mass consumption campaign if the first one is successful. Star wars seems inevitable indicated by recent and previous world power struggles over oil. You'd wonder though since its outer space?! but it wouldn't surprise me that certain nations would try to claim ownership and boundaries of it as well since its the nature of the beast.

  • we shouldn't miine the mooon, the moon may hold valuable information about the solar system's history, but we currently don't know how to harvest it. One company should not have the power to exploit a symbol, inspiration and monument that unnites us all. We can all look up at space and see the beautiful mooon. Claiming the moon is ridiculous, it just shows how primitive and sick humans are, money, money, money, money.we gotta stop harvesting energy like this.Like fossil fuels ,we will runout of He3

  • So true... but that's a problem with current human psyche, which grows ever more insane and robotic for lack of a proper education on the nature of oneself. Claiming anything, for that matter, is pure insanity. But I must admit using matter ejected from the sun during a solar flare to use as fusion material (thus creating a miniature sun) is actually pretty awesome! Unfortunately, most humans are so entrapped in their pleasure seeking, greedy conditioning that they can no longuer "see" properly.

  • I thought tesla solved the "power issue" with his methods of controlling the power of earth...

  • gotta admit that this is damn good material for a movie...

    or a game.

from an illustrators point of view.

  • We can study and mine the moon at the same time!!!

  • the moonenites shall rule all because we live in the 5,000nd dimension.

    Tell them Ur

  • @nemsison haha moonenites!

  • Well, that's true.

  • The rewards are only going to be "enormous" for those who have the money eg oil companys to do this. Us people actually doing all the work which will make this happen arent going to get any rewards. It is a vicious circle with energy and this will probably cause even worse economic disasters. The rich are going to continue to get richer and the people conducting the work are going to stay as they have been for since civilisation has began. I can even sense WW3 happening with this too.

  • mitchel is an ass hole we need to advance quickly and develope we need to make it out of our solour system in less than a few hours so we need to explore our closest plannets get there resorcess learn and develope quickly.

  • i dont wanna see no fucking moon war over no fucking H3

  • The hippies are gonna scream bloody rape to the moon.

  • this guy should win the nobel peace prize

  • The race is over, we won a thousand years ago. YOU TUBE is monitoring this site closely... I wonder why?

  • You say its tough to get to mine it, its tougher living life w/out it.

  • I smell a new space race more bloody than never before between China, USA, EU, Rusia and Japan over 2020.

  • this is the begining of a powerful empire

  • that Russian guy is connected to the Russian mob like most wealthy Russians if u don't give them a cut u better have ur will written or get ready for prison

  • but...my mind is still thinking of "free energy".....This is commercializing the moon, I do agree with dr. Mitchell....and the money moguls must be playing a part in this.....i dont really know since this is new to me....so I will have to reserve my opinion ..ok?

  • ok I admit this is very interesting.

  • michel is just speaking jiberish. moonhuger.
