  • blackmore why did u go mad and decide to live in the 16th century lol

  • Because he fell in love with a beautiful young witch, HAHAHA.

  • yeah but shes even got tired of this 16th century crap did u hear shes released her own albulm without blackmore on it and she even said in an interview its blackmore who wants to keep playing that classical crap i want to see him play rock again but it probably wont happen unless someone famous from his past asks him 2

  • Oh, really? Well, DP's heavy sound is like an orchestra and DP have ever experienced that they are on a stage with an orchestra...he got old and became feeling like to play real classical music, maybe.

  • when i first learnt to play guitar i learnt classical music like bach mozart and paganini on guitar but i quickly got bored of that music because in my opinion its dead music from a time that no longer exists where as rock and metal isnt even 60 years old yet how blackmore can get bored of modern music i dont know because it is advancing all the time i think ritchies afraid of using modern equipment unlike his rival steve morse lol

  • In my opinion, he became prefering sensitive and acoustic music to hard and electric music. Probably he is tired of modern technology. We can put his recordings of the 70's above Yngwie or any other guitarist, it's enough for me.

  • i totally agree with u about yngwie because as great a guitarist as he is without blackmore yngwie would never have became as successfull as he became because yngwie in his early days with alcatrazz had to cover a lot of blackmores songs like since youve been gone and all night long

  • Yngwie can play faster than Blackmore but cannot play tasteful like Blackmore.

  • yeah but their is a guitarist who in my opinion was better than both of them his name Randy Rhoads the legend

  • Because he fell in love with a beautiful young witch, HAHAHA.

  • This is the best version of speed king

  • I think so, combination of Ritchie with Gillan and band ensemble are unbelievable hot!

  • Blackmore`s style is awesome.

  • I prefer him to Jimmy Page.

  • @elephanta2 it is youre choise. i like Page too. But Blackie is my fav. But for all bluesy guitarists i prefer Pual Kossof. cause his blues style is so sweet. Led zepp are great band but to me the Free is much Grandy/

  • I also like their live. Paul Rodgers is a very good singer.

  • Best period of Deep Purple is july 1969 june 1973: unrepeatable, unique.

  • Yeah.

  • @kneelandpray1 yeah

  • i have this one in cd but it's mono audio not stereo ....

  • In Japan, this album will be released on SHM-CD with deluxe paper sleeve, but I won't buy it...because I have no money, haha.

  • live in stockolm 72..

  • Is it your favourite? I like this live in Stockholm 1970.

  • wild

  • In my opinion, their best live performances were recorded in 1969 and especially 1970. Many people say their best live was recorded in 1972, but I prefer DP of 1973 to 1972, haha.

  • To maintain balance in the soul - you need a little of each of the three HARD ROCK food groups:

    LED ZEPPELIN

    DEEP PURPLE

    BLACK SABBATH

  • @HardRockDrummer666 You need to add food group: VAN HALEN

  • EXTREMELY AMAZING

  • Yeah, this recording is unbelievable nice!

  • They were so ******** wild back then, just all out powerful. This recording is killer! And thank you for sharing!

  • Generally speaking, 1972 wins their most popular period, but I think 1970 is the best.

  • @elephanta2 I'll drink to that!!

  • It's the golden age of Ian Gillan & Ritchie Blackmore, what a high tension sound, really amazing!

  • Deep Purple OUTPACES Led Zeppelin!!

  • I like LZ until "Led Zeppelin III", but I much prefer DP to them.

  • Well. speed king was not on made in japan. however it was on the cd re-release.

  • Their 1972's style may be more complete, it seeme to keep a nice balance between wild and catchy, but I think their most energetic period is 1970. Live 1969-1970 is their best part for me.

  • PURE GOLD!!!

    RiTcHiE & LoRD RuLZ!!!

  • They are sooo great, DP is my best hard rock band.

  • Best version I've found on YouTube! Close to album sound. Thinking of Made in Japan, which is terrific and I think better than this version.

  • I much prefer their style in 1970 to in 1972...it's rough and wild, very impulsive.

  • Best version I've found on YouTube! Close to album sound.

  • Sound is terrific here. Gillan the best!

  • 1970 is my best period of DP.

  • @elephanta2

SO TRUE!!! MKIIa was the best Purple, 1970 was their absolute peak!!!

You might wanna check out the 1969 Bilzen gig too.

Let me know if you cant find it, then Ill send it to you.

--Those '69 Bilzen's Mandrake and Wring are awesome!!!

  • Thanks for your information!

  • So great.I guess Ritchie plays Fender here :) Sometimes reminds me Jimi's impros.

  • Yeah, I like his playing, very energetic!

  • Ritchie rips through this one.
