Love this talented man's music. I have most of the albums mentioned below in one form or another. So lucky to enjoy this music with you all. Keltner and Ry play right in that groove and aint it sweet.
What about "jazz",, "riders of the purple sage" "I, Flathead" and the Little Village album? All worth the price of admission! Matter of fact, every album by Ry Cooder is special.
Ry is amazing. Boderline, The Slide area, Chicken Skin Music, ALL "must have" CD's. Played on Little Feat's 1st album. I think he came from Captn Beefheart's band. Many soundtracks too!
Ry played on Captain Beefheart's first album Safe As Milk. If you get a chance to listen to it, the guitar is already very distinctive - a great album.
Thanks for posting this. Incidentally, the song is called 'Go Home Girl' - this comes from a BBC "Old Grey Whistle Test" concert special from around late May/early June 1982.
Lots of performers love being on stage.....this guy loves the music...

This sounds like a song Arthur Alexander does. Not sure who wrote it.

Hey don't forget Paradise & Lunch - killer LP...I mean CD. No such thing as CDs when P&L was released.

"Bop Till You Drop"...Don't have it? Better git it! Best album since Randy Newman's Good Old boys.
