Unitarians are simply a room full of people that have little faith in anything specific.. I dated a Unitarian and she thought she was a psychic.. Ghosts and stuff.

Sorry (for you) Mr. Usher, but deeds will not atone for your sins. You and everyone else have sinned against an infinitely holy God, the penalty for which is death. Repentance and faith in Jesus Christ ALONE is the only way to right relationship with God. Repent and believe.  Your "honest working out of your own truth" is rebellion against God.

Legal age for marriage in our church is whatever the country states. In Australia, that would be 18, or 16 with parental consent.

I am not lukewarm. I am boiling hot in my belief that it does not take a group full of like-minded people to be a spiritual community.

God does indeed know my works. He knows my heart, and the heart of every UU and every person much more than any good-willing Christian in the world.

God knows how people came to their decisions about him.

Agnosticism is not a denial of God. It is an expression of acceptance that we can't possibly know all there is to know.

Truth is subjective. What I percieve to be truth is not what you percieve to

be truth. You use the bible and feel triumph, that it speaks all that needs to be said.

I see you use the bible and I see one perspective. Just one of many.

Humans are miniscule in this world. Do you think God would really condemn

them based on what they know or do not know about the supernatural?

Humans are the temple of God, yes? The Spirit of God dwells in us.

How have I defiled the temple by being honest to myself, and dedicated

to my search for truth.

The only thing the UU teaches is that we all must love each other and help

each other even if we don't agree on doctrine.

Anything but stagnant. My life is always growing, moving, flowing and bringing new experiences that keep me on my toes and in the game. I've evolved emotionally and spiritually.

Just because I think differently to you does not make me stagnant. How do I even know if I DO think differently to you? I don't even know what you believe. You sorta just jumped on here, took one sentence I said and became annoyed by it.

In your opinion, yes it is, but not to mine.

Let us say that your doctrine is the true doctrine. It is, we know it.

Does that mean we must shut out all those who do not believe our doctrine?

The UU does not have a doctrine. This is where most people stumble in their understanding of us.

Some UUs believe exactly the same as you. Some UUS are atheists. Some UUS are Buddhists, and some don't know what is the ultimate truth, but they are trying to discern.

Our belief: That we can be together as a community of brothers, sharing our induvidual journeys, despite having different worldviews. THAT is our belief.

Or do you want to know my PERSONAL belief? I believe that it is impossible to know the ultimate truth, and that God loves humans despite their ignorance on all matters of the supernatural. In other words, I'm an agnostic theist.

I've told you what we stand for several times, Now tell me why that doesn't count.

Why shouldn't we call ourselves a religion, or church?

Why can't we have a church? Its a great way to build a community. Its a strong place.

We're not saying there is more than one truth, we just leave the choice to the induvidual. Even if we disagree with them.

You continue to criticize us fromt he perspective that we must conform to a certain format to call ourselves a church.

We call it church because it is:

A building or group of people worshiping together.

We don't all worship the same thing, but that doesn't make it any less sincere.

We are a congregation who believes that we don't have to have the same opinion on truth to worship together and be a spiritual community.

And frankly, I don't see why we CAN'T.

We do. We believe each person has a right to make that decision for themselves.

UUs aren't a Christian denomination any more than Islam or Judaism is.

Why are you judging us on criterai employed to judge christian denominations?

The point of our religion is to meet together. Be together, to help each other find the truth for themselves.

What gives you the right over any other to look down on us for our "inability" to do things exactly as you believe they should be?

Can you proove beyond reasonable doubt that your way is better than any others?

The thing about UU is that we can love each other and do good for the world even if we don't believe the same thing.

I think UU's are hard for many to understand becasue we are used to be able to put people into a box. We box up catholics,Jews,Athiests,Quaker­s,etc....but UU's make that veryhard. I'm a liberal Christian who respects the UU's, I think we can all learn form each other
