For those who don't understand, let's label the locations from L to R: 1, 2, center, 3, & 4. Each individual section will change positions many times so this is not naming each piece but the area which you're grabbing from.

Step One: Start with section 3 & 4. Place section 4 OVER section 3, and UNDER the center piece like a snake. As you'll see, what was once section 4, is now the center piece from L to R.

Step Two: take section 1 & 2 and place 1 OVER 2 and UNDER the center pie

Clever idea, holding the hair in a storage unit. Because the unit is a light color you can actually clearly follow each step of the braiding technique..which is a major plus when you're doing a multi braid like a 5 strander! Thanks!
