gracias por tu comentario mira la acer mini soporta bien el vista la intension del video es demostrar que tiene muy buena capacidad el equipo aunque con la salida proxima del windows 7 la acer mini va a mejorar muchisimo espero poder hacer un test de windows 7 cuando este sea liberado oficialmente saludos.

wow, iv been waiting to see something like this... i have a vlited copy of vista black so it boots faster (about 50 seconds fully), but thats still not bad. it seemed like xp was a little slow though.

what are you trying to test? the boot up time between the two OS? Everyone knows that XP boots up faster than Vista. I also don't think that an Acer Aspire One was built to run Vista as well as XP.

Yo tengo un video aqui en Youtube de una Lanix LT10 (muy similar a la Aspire One) equipada tambien con un Intel Atom 1.6 Ghz y 1 GB de Ram de fabrica aunque lo reemplaze por un modulo de 2 GB (el maximo soportado) y he obtenido excelentes resultados corriendo Vista Ultimate SP1, una pregunta? desactivaste consumidores de memoria y tiempo de arranque como el UAC y la Indizacion de Archivos?, aunque si de toma unos pocos segundos mas el arrancar Vista pero una vez funcionando este vuela!!!

Otra cuestion, el Atom se basa en un Chip Core Duo 2 aunque es de un solo nucleo con "Hyper-Threading" para simular dos procesadores, en la Lanix, algunas opciones como el C-State (ahorro de energia al desacelerar el CPU) y la deteccion de codigos malignos (Execute disable bit) venian desactivadas de fabrica en bios y obvio la bateria duraba menos con vista hasta que las active y ahora LA BATERIA DURA MAS EN VISTA que en XP, en las Acer ya vienen activadas las opciones de CPU en bios?

i took out the 512mb ram chip and installed 1GB for a total of 1.5GB (it has an unremoveable 512mb onboard ram). Then i setup a 200mb RAMDISK to use for readyboost. Flash mem has fast access times, but slow transfer speeds. Real RAM acting as a drive has ULLTRA fast access and like 2000/mb/sec transfer times. As the guy below said, I've killed aps such as the sidebar for even faster Vista performance on my Acer Aspire 1.

Hola, tengo una Compaq 305LA, pero ya le quiero dar de baja porque me aburre llevarla a todos lados por el peso y la incomodidad. Mas en esta tengo instalado Vista, Server 2008 y Fedora 9. La utilizo para estudiar y necesito tener instalados Visual Studio 2008, SQL Server 2008, Oracle 10g, Eclipse y MySql. wrong man is not slow just the boot is some slow but the performance of the little aspire is great so i return to xp cause i only install vista for testing purpose thanks for the comment

Yo ahora mismo estoy con Xubuntu y xcfe y hay que decir que no se me agota la bateria tan rapida como en ubuntu, claro, porque no uso ni gnome ni KDE.

Si te pones xubuntu 8.04.1 con xcfe, vas a flipar.

Para decirte más o menos como es, en cuanto a recursos en el aspire one... es como el Linpus pero personalizable al 100%.
