  • SBB ROCKS

  • Ah, excellent job, pal.

One thing to think about when you do the next boxcar. Don't be afraid to heavily weather the roof of the boxcar. Any boxcar. If the sides are rusty, streaky, brown, then the roof will sure be heavily beaten with dirt, rust, grime, smoke etc

  • where did you get the graffiti from

  • @Traintronxes If I remember right mate I stuck "graffiti alphabet" into google image search and then edited the letters together to form the actual tag. The colour scheme was just something I put together myself on photoshop using the gradient tool to figure out what I wanted it to look like. Theres tons of stuff on google images to use for inspiration too.

  • @ScaleModelMedic as a graffiti writer, cool man mad respect. cool how you took your own spin on things and just gave it try

  • Excellent tutorial thanks

  • i love how this guy says again

  • man it looks so easy! and it looks really cool man!!!

  • Dude you should have your own model making show!

  • Champion! & as 'aphexhead' pointed out, very well constructed & presented vid. Old school bombin too ;) Thank you for your time taken in this presentation.

  • @SequoiaMac old school is best for me really... modern stuff just doesn't do it !!

  • Fantastic work!

  • You make some of the best tutorial videos, and your results are fantastic. Thanks for making the effort to make it for us. :-)

  • Awesome tutorial!

  • Very cool my man.

  • Thank you sir, great tutorial. really helpful. Just what i was looking, im planing to build some eldar vehicles and need it some help with the templates. Gracias.

  • @TheCelsork are you painting the thorn pattern ? I always thought that looked like a cool camo pattern.

  • Truly fantastic workmanship combined with patience i wish i had :)

I would love to see you do a video of comparing various products like varnishes, paints, tools because you know your stuff and there's so much on the market that confuse us more inexperienced modellers.

    Great job mate!

  • awesome skills mate!

  • please make more vids :D

  • Holly shit!! I didn't expect this to come out so good!! Really nicely done :)

  • Fantastic work pal, really well presented video too. You mentioned using a 'glaze medium' to help the paint spray smoothly, is that a vallejo product? Does it help with tip dry at all? Thanks for the great tutorial.

  • @APHEXHEAD Hi - yeah the glaze medium is from Vallejo, you get a good shot of the bottle in part 2 of the train video. It will indeed help with tip dry. I use it kind of like a thinner, but it doesn't weaken the paint so much if you get me. It's a damn nice little bottle of stuff.

  • @XMrMagicmanX

that's great thanks for stoppin by

  • @ScaleModelMedic

haters gonna hate. :D Great work, mate!

  • @XMrMagicmanX And you sir are an uneducated dick.

  • @XMrMagicmanX

and doing mobile phone videos of really old slight of hand tricks makes you so much better!!!

  • what does SMM mean ?? :D

    SCALE MODEL MEDIC !!!

    great work man !!

  • Oh man That's the dogs sugared sphericals! I L-O-V-E Ur vids, they're the best!

Thanks for the fabulous vis! SMM!!

  • Just... AWESOME!

  • The grafitti and the templates is so cool. Your work is extremely professional. Learn a hell lot everytime I watch one of your tutorials. Thanks for taking the time to make these videos, they are extremely well put together.

Have you ever found hand painting the Vallejo Matte Varnish abit streaky? or would you say that is down to how thin the varnish is? I find hand painting the gloss no problem.

  • @kamniks brush painting the varnish is a tricky one, I try to avoid doing it if at all possible. If I DO have to do it, I thin the varnish and try to set the model so the varnished area is lying flat as gravity will "self level" the fluid.

  • @ScaleModelMedic Thanks for getting back to me mate! :D

  • I remember watching this turtorial months ago. Nice to see another one!

  • As usual great vid, cheers ;)

  • Excellent vid as usua

  • superb! could you not have let the white layer dry without moving the template and then do the colour layer so that you don't have to line it up twice?

  • @paintermarine potentially yes, but what I wanted to avoid was the template/paint drying together so when I lifted the template it caused the paint to rip off the model. If I was 100% sure this wasn't going to happen then I would definitely have done it so I didn't have to re-apply the template.

  • smm scale model medic...

  • Wonderful mate! Just stunning work. Thanks for the inspiration. very cool.

  • beautiful!!!

  • perfection! i love the grafitti and now i know how to do it :)

  • Wow... A true work of art right there!
