So Brian's gone satirical eh? It's a nice idea in theory and of course the cause is justified, but why should the subject of satire be the three major candidates' willingness to focus on the economy (the most pressing subject for most of the British public anyway.) There aren't many fox-hunters left in Britain, but plenty of people who work for the public services and aren't willing for a Tory government to make cuts here there and everywhere to compensate for Labours big bad jobs tax.

Call me a cynic but I really dont think this is an issue. For the politicians its really not a popular issue one way or the other and 9 prosecutions in 6 years for registered hunts (and less than 100 in total) doesn't exactly justify the 500hrs of parliamentary time last time around. For the 500,000 people who went hunting on boxing day this year its basically an irritant but not worth trying to repeal. The Tories will hold their vote, it'll loose hands down and the issue will disappear.

I would normally agree with you on this thought but Brian has for years cared for the welfare of animals. No-one is going to listen to a member of the public ranting on about animal rights. Famous people have that voice and Brian isn't doing it to gain anything for himself.

I understand you just want the best people to reign you country, for a good future for all the next generations and Im afraid its not only your country who did whatever Bush wanted, when its about war. So Brian's gone satirical eh? It's a nice idea in theory and of course the cause is justified, but why should the subject of satire be the three major candidates' willingness to focus on the economy (the most pressing subject for most of the British public anyway.) There aren't many fox-hunters left in Britain, but plenty of people who work for the public services and aren't willing for a Tory government to make cuts here there and everywhere to compensate for Labours big bad jobs tax.

@icantthinkofone2 Of course the economy affects everyone's lives, but animal welfare is also an issue. The economy already loads of discussion going on about it, so animal welfare needs all the representation and discussion it can get, so that it can actually be noticed!

You can have all the money in the world but without compassion you have nothing, i despair of the human race and the levels of depravity it can stoop to.
There is no place in the 21st century for fox hunting, cubbing, dog fighting, badger baiting, stag hunting or any other foul blood sport.
Vote against a repeal of the hunting with hounds act on polling day and have a clear conscience.

Call me a cynic but I really dont think this is an issue. For the politicians its really not a popular issue one way or the other and 9 prosecutions in 6 years for registered hunts (and less than 100 in total) doesn't exactly justify the 500hrs of parliamentary time last time around. For the 500,000 people who went hunting on boxing day this year its basically an irritant but not worth trying to repeal. The Tories will hold their vote, it'll loose hands down and the issue will disappear.

I would normally agree with you on this thought but Brian has for years cared for the welfare of animals. No-one is going to listen to a member of the public ranting on about animal rights. Famous people have that voice and Brian isn't doing it to gain anything for himself.
If it was someone like Paris Hilton or Katie Price pretending to care for animals I would agree with you but not in this case.

But that is always the excuse that will be used when it comes to issues like these. There will always be something more important to the majority of people and so things like this will just be swept under the carpet time and time again so it's about time it was put out there sooner rather than later so at least one person that didn't know about these plans can find out and decide for themselves.

And animal cruelty is so wrong and so out of date and place in 2010 and we shouldn't even need this video or campaign. The idea of killing an animal for one's one pleasure should outrage everybody but it's not like that so again, good on Brian for raising awareness.

I think some people are missing the point. Economics is important to every political party and they all think they have the best answer. Whoever gets in power will deal with the economy, so how about voting on morality, and leave economics to the economists. Also, get a sense of humour.
