Every suburb has their own slumlords, in from 1990 to 2007, we lived in a house in the northern suburbs, the house was really dirty, it took us a week to clean it up, the kitchen floor tiles were peeling off, the tiles were falling off, in a simliar fashion to Frank Cassar, the thing that broke the camels back with this tenancy was the fusebox issue, we ran a computer and printer repair business and we had piles of them in the garage but used for parts, never run a repair business in a rental
When we applied for the other house in the other district, it was approved for a one reason and one reason only, the old estate agent did the poo on us, when your renting be sure you had a good relationship with the agent as well, if you have a bad one, it will come back to bite you, but the serect to get another house is never place your current agent or landlord as the previous landlord, because this can happen to you.
And I had bit of a arguement with the sumlord and said he'll give us notice, in early 2007, we got notice from the landlord and gave us till may of 2007 to find another rental property, after 5 months of rejections, and countless calls with the tenants union and the last house we appiled for was with the same agent, and it turned out that the estate agent was giving us the poo with the other agents and it turned out we did apply for a property within a agent in another district.
I bet all those tenants obtained a Notice to Vacate as soon they complained, In 2007 my family was living in a rental house in Lalor and the slumlord there and bad estate agent thrown us out due to a problem with the fusebox, like making arcing noises and such and burning out the fuses, but the power company blamed us the tenants and when we got the report from the slumlord, but they blamed the repair business in the garage since we serviced computers and printer, but it was the other way round.
A perfect house for a hoarding tenant, I bet the hoarder tenant will make him taste his own medicine, if I leased one of his houses, I'll just rubbish the house up.
They should only lease his houses to tenants that are hoarders a perfect match because hoarders wouldn't care less, bad tenant and bad landlords will match up perfectly, slum lords and bad tenants should be matched up because both won't care.

So.... why do people rent from him? Like most financial mistakes, we're allowing these people to do it - no, it's worse, we're PAYING them for it.
