Hi again! I just received my first Birchbox! I am a little disappointed:( I kept two products and the others are going into some stockings for Christmas. I still am not sure if I have an Eco Emi account. Just sent them a message. I am looking forward to seeing what you get (if you still subscribe )to Birchbox for November.

From the video's I have watched on You Tube, yes everyone get's the same products.Some are full size , other's are big travel sizes and yes the sample size. I did see a box that had a pair of organic socks, a "Radius" toothbrush with a replacement head. I am sure these items are more than $10 so the box can easily pay for itself when you get full size products. I know a soap they have given away is $8 at Whole Foods. Thanks for your responding to me :)
I know Birchbox will be coming around the 10th of November and i still do not have a confirmation from Eco Emi. It appears that my info is there, however I have not received word that I have a subscription. Not sure how they do things. Not like Birchie where you fill out a profile and they show your billing info. I will let you know when I get both boxes. It will feel like Christmas for a while :)
Have you heard of...Go Go Girlfriends? It also is a subscription service, which (from watching the Youtube comparisons) seems to be more generous with the amounts of samples they send. I may add it along with my birch box sub.
I looked also for October. At first I think this service was a first come first serve basis. Now you can subscribe. I am waiting for my Pay Pal account to clear. So as of right now I have a November Birchbox and hopefully a Eco Emi as well!! I am really excited about both subscriptions!
I would love to try birchbox but I have super sensitive skin and I think more of the products I couldn't even try... but love watching the video.. everyone get something different..

Wow, I watched another October Birchbox and your Birchbox was MUCH better! I was on the fence about subscribing and now after seeing the difference I still am. Not sure what to make of it. Also read they will send products according to your age. Again, not sure if that is true.
@MsLizzy63 Which video did you watch and what items did they get?? So curious. I totally base my feelings on my box based on what everyone else got. I wasn't even too impressed with mine but considering all the comments, I guess I got the best "version." So, that being said, i would have been EVEN more mad had I gotten a "worser one". :\ Do you think you'll just try it for a month? Just to see?
I also got Blinc mascara, Ouidad climate control hair gel, Pangea organics facial scrub and my extra was Lash Card. I am didnt like the blinc mascara much I like that it doesnt flake but it didnt give me any volume or lenth which is what I look for in a mascara. the Ouidad gel was good but there was only enough for one use.The facial scrub smelled grose I used it once and the smell stayed on my face and I had to wash it again. and the lash card was pretty useless. still got it on my lids.
@My2girlsknh I've gotten the Blinc mascara I think my last box. I wasn't even excited to try it on. haha :( So sad that you were disappointed in your box. Maybe try switching up your beauty profile? Are you still planning on getting next months?
Your birchbox is better than mine too. :( I really only loved one of the products I got and that was the Ahava Foot cream. I am still going to get another month and see if its any better.

@jesksa thx for the reply, and yeah u r totally right i am sucked in, i did call the birchbox company and they did told me that the items i got was based on the preference selections i made when i signed up on their werbsite, you knw that questions they asked and u checked the box, so i totally had the chaned mine, and the lady was really nice.
@SWEETPARISTINA I told you! It's such a smart company idea because you just will always remain subscribed because of the thought of NOT getting a good box! I should have actually mentioned that to you. After my disappointing last 2 months, I actually switched up my beauty profile to not get packet samples, etc. So my good box this month might be attributed to it? Who knows though! Sometimes, it's just random. I don't need cashmere shampoo bs. haha
@jesksa I called the BB office and they checked with the inventory department. They didn't know for sure how much was in the sample but they said based on the size of other samples, their best guess is about 1/4 to 1/3 of an ounce. if it's 1/4 of an ounce, that makes it worth about $10.59 which isn't too shabby! they were really nice and helpful when I called.
@singrgrl05 Oh that's nice! :) When I went onto their website to look at the container, it looked like the SAME exact size. I was going to say, "Birchbox would NEVER give us a $70 product!" @iamjordan21 There are apparently a number of versions of each monthly box! So for example, in October, there were apparently 17 different box variations sent out to people! There is a beauty questionnaire that you fill out on your Birchbox website for your profile-- anywhere from what type of hair you have to what you're willing to spend money on, etc. Based on how you answer your survey, Birchbox will match you up with their version of the perfect box to meet your needs! :)

I tried to open a package with a nail file and sliced my finger on the box because I was struggling so hard...that'll teach me to be too lazy to get up for a pair of scissors haha!

I got that hair treatment in my September box (which got sent in October by Birchbox because our mail screwed up and never delivered it) and it does smell great, but it won't come out of the dang bottle and if I pull out the stopper I'll get too much product. I hope it works for you. I also hope I don't get it again in my October box...I'll be so mad! :)
@livin4jc3 Thanks for the warning! You know the last thing I want is a bunch of oil all over my hands and wasted product! I'll make sure to be careful! I doubt Birchbox will make that error with giving someone the same product... I'd be SO mad as well, well maybe not if it was something I really liked (ie: Laura Geller Blush n Brighten)! Looking forward to seeing what you get as well! I think I'm more curious to see if other people got better items in their box versus looking at my own! hah
Mine was box #5 (I originally #4). There were 17 boxes total. I'm not disappointed this month since I do like all the products sent just wish that they would continue to send deluxe size products and not minis.
@zadidoll How do you find out the different boxes that were made? But I'm jealous of the Pangea Organics scrub you got! I think I'd be happy with anything from that brad! :) I also totally agree on the deluxe size products! I'm trying to figure out what size I got in the Clark's Botanicals mask! The most annoying thing for me is getting those perfume samples... such a waste to consider it one of the main products. To me, it's an extra!
@jesksa Birchbox tends to recycle links. My September's box was september11box2 so for October I substituted September for October and then replace each number until I get to either 404 or a "Today's Special" and that'll determine how many boxes there are. If the links are not active for that month but you got your box you can also tell what box you have on the shipping label (most times). The box itself is labeled as OCTBB1, 2, etc unless it was shipped via USPS then it may not be labeled.
@zadidoll Wow, that's a lot of detective work!! Just went to grab my shipping box, it's labeled OCTBB1. I guess I got the first box? Still a little confused so thanks for trying to explain!
@lastylex3 Hi, I was trying to find the oz. # listed on the packaging but it only lists the ingredients! For some reason I'm hesitant to believe that they gave us the full-size sample in a Birchbox, but I went onto the Clark's Botanicals website and looked at their packaging (and it looks the same?) @americanbluebell Yeah, I was TOTALLY disappointed with the past 2 boxes I've received, but I do LOVE the brand and the concept of what they're trying to do. Since I was so pleased with my earlier boxes, I actually got a year long subscription, so I'll be getting these for a while. Just hoping Birchbox doesn't re-gift whatever items they're giving to people. We'll see! Then again, if I stopped my subscription and the next month's box was AMAZING, I'd be pretty upset with myself.. haha

@bluefrog2982 Yeah, totally understand. I actually signed up for a year membership after I was pretty pleased with the early summer boxes. However, these past ones have REALLY fallen flat... especially that September and August one. However, I think their business plan lies in you wanting to keep your subscription because you're afraid you will *MISS OUT* on some box further down -- if you cancel your subscription. I mean truthfully, that's what keeping me around. hah

I doubt Birchbox will make that error with giving someone the same product... I'd be SO mad as well, well maybe not if it was something I really liked (ie: Laura Geller Blush n Brighten)! Looking forward to seeing what you get as well! I think I'm more curious to see if other people got better items in their box versus looking at my own! hah

Mine was box #5 (I originally #4). There were 17 boxes total. I'm not disappointed this month since I do like all the products sent just wish that they would continue to send deluxe size products and not minis.

@zadidoll How do you find out the different boxes that were made? But I'm jealous of the Pangea Organics scrub you got! I think I'd be happy with anything from that brad! :) I also totally agree on the deluxe size products! I'm trying to figure out what size I got in the Clark's Botanicals mask! The most annoying thing for me is getting those perfume samples... such a waste to consider it one of the main products. To me, it's an extra!

@jesksa Birchbox tends to recycle links. My September's box was september11box2 so for October I substituted September for October and then replace each number until I get to either 404 or a "Today's Special" and that'll determine how many boxes there are. If the links are not active for that month but you got your box you can also tell what box you have on the shipping label (most times). The box itself is labeled as OCTBB1, 2, etc unless it was shipped via USPS then it may not be labeled.

@lastylex3 Hi, I was trying to find the oz. # listed on the packaging but it only lists the ingredients! For some reason I'm hesitant to believe that they gave us the full-size sample in a Birchbox, but I went onto the Clark's Botanicals website and looked at their packaging (and it looks the same?) I did just tweet @Birchbox with the question though. I'll make sure to comment again when I hear back! Thanks for watching! :)

@americanbluebell Yeah, I was TOTALLY disappointed with the past 2 boxes I've received, but I do LOVE the brand and the concept of what they're trying to do. Since I was so pleased with my earlier boxes, I actually got a year long subscription, so I'll be getting these for a while. Just hoping Birchbox doesn't re-gift whatever items they're giving to people. We'll see! Then again, if I stopped my subscription and the next month's box was AMAZING, I'd be pretty upset with myself.. haha

@bluefrog2982 Yeah, totally understand. I actually signed up for a year membership after I was pretty pleased with the early summer boxes. However, these past ones have REALLY fallen flat... especially that September and August one. However, I think their business plan lies in you wanting to keep your subscription because you're afraid you will *MISS OUT* on some box further down -- if you cancel your subscription. I mean truthfully, that's what keeping me around. hah
