omg when this movie came out, my mom had just left me and my dad and sister and one night we decided to go to the movies, and instead of watching another more adultish movie, we watched the tale of despereaux and it was perfect for that night, my dad said he would never look at a mouse the same way again, we all left the theatre with our spirits lifted.

The movie looks nothing like the book. I'm not sure If I'm gonna see it. But it does has an epic theme.

If all of that stuff is in the book then I wouldn't be too surprised if they toned down some of that stuff for the movie (it's G rated after all, and unfortunately you can't get away with certain things in G rated movies anymore). Still it's a nice title theme and I'll admit I'm interested in seeing the movie.

Still, they do show the queen dying on screen in the trailer. I found the book somewhat depressing, but judging by the adventurous music, they probably are going to change some of it.
