I just want to let you know right now. That after looking at all that tasty sashimi and realizing that because i live in a small country town in the middle of the southeastern united states, I will never be able to eat that stuff around here. Thank you for making me hungry and not being able to eat sashimi...I hope you die lol. Jk, great vid as always.
I could be wrong but i think they freeze tataki and then cook the outside, the freezing process would like kill the bacteria..etc.. much like cooking does and allow you to eat it raw, or semi raw or however you want to think of it. Either way its very good.
Interesting vid that piqued my apetite! I love the look of that food, though I am vegetarian. Will I find it tricky or boring being veggie when I make it over to Japan?
aw man i see u eating that and i get hungry for japanese food too bad i cant have any XD since umm im not in Japan or know where or how to get it over here lol
I know, and it's a habit I tried to get out of - constantly comparing prices in the two currencies, but I still send money home each month to pay off domestic bills. Maybe you don't have this worry - ahhh bliss... :)
"PJ likes it raw." We both laughed at the same time on that one.
If I'm eating dinner alone, it's almost always instant curry. The Mrs recently found GreatValue at Seiyu. It's funny to realize that we're eating the Wal-Mart brand in Japan.

you shud eat tai first because its the most light tasting and the salmon will numb your taste buds making you taste the tai less
rl520 1 year ago
@rl520 I realize that, but I like tai the least, so I don't mind if the taste is weaker... ;-)
kansaiPJ 1 year ago
@kansaiPJ tai taste amazingly fresh and good if u eat it first try it out, it taste better u'll love tai more : D
rl520 1 year ago
@rl520 I've been eating tai since I was a little kid and it has never really moved me. But I'll give it another try as you suggest.

Outside of Tokyo (and maybe Kyoto & Osaka) it is hard to find stores and restaurants that cater to vegetarians and vegans, but they do exist.
Good (veggie) hunting!

you gotta start rethinking your yen to dollar conversion - $10 is now about 900yen, instead of the other way around.
TaishaJason 3 years ago
I live in JAPAN not the US, so conversions are kind of academic to me...

what there's mexican food in japan according to one of tokyo conney(sp) theres only taco bell in us military bases
bears57 3 years ago
I was referring to Mexican restaurants, not fast food. Besides, Taco Bell (though I love it) is no more "Mexican" than Pizza Hut is "Italian"...
;-p

I had excellent Mexican food in Fukuoka once at a great restaurant run by brothers from Mexico, but I don't know about good Mexican in Tokyo.
