Thou shall not tempt the Lord thy God. if one would care for their eternal soul, and I do what convinced me is I heard the word of God preached the Gospel part, and I was convicted of my sin and feared eternal separation from God and my loved ones, my children. So I did what the bible says do to have peace and forgiveness, I accepted Jesus as my savoir. Then I learned about all the evidence that has been recorded, geographical, historical, prophetical, and my faith was increased. And still is.

If you are getting your "evidence" from Kent Hovind or his like it's easy to understand how you could be convinced.

Look at other religious texts like the koran; it has just as many supposed geographical, historical and prophetic texts.

You mention faith, Faith by definition is belief without knowledge. I don't want faith; I want knowledge. If faith makes you happy that's great, it won't make me happy. I know, I used to have faith. Now I want to know.

I used to believe because I was brought up in a christian home. After I was married and really started to think about the christian god I could not see him as loving and/or merciful. I looked in the bible and found a being that seemed truly cruel. And the injustices ascribed to this god could not be reality. This being could not exist. I could still believe if I relied only on faith but I want reality; not faith.

I DON'T WANT FAITH!! If a god was handing me faith on a silver platter I wouldn't take it. I want reality. Reality takes us places. Reality tells us how the world truly is. Sometimes reality is not comforting but at least it is real. Faith can give hope and so can reality in a fashion. But faith can also cause evil. The guys who flew the planes on 9/11 had faith just as the puritans who burned witches. Reality never causes evil.

Part 2 - You have hope in your reality which might include that "the big bang" created you, and it ends when your life ends. Part 3 - So is not faith=BELIEF that you lack, what you lack is faith on the One living God, the only one that blead, died and rose again for YOU. Jn 3:16 for God so loved YOU that He gave His only begotten Son that IF YOU believed in Him YOU would not persish but have everlasting life. So; god became Jesus and then died for me and became god again... what a sacrifice. The policemen at the twin towers on 9/11 sacrificed a REAL sacrifice. The soldiers that fought the English in the revolutionary war made REAL sacrifices. They are dead. They gave up their lives for me and my freedom as well as the rest of U.S. citizens. They will never come back. They gained only death. But I remember; and so do others. That is a REAL sacrifice; your god lost nothing, and that's not a sacrifice.

I exist; that is reality. I have no faith in evolution, abiogenesis or the big bang. They are currently the best explanations for some questions. If somewhere in the future one or all 3 of those theories gets debunked because of a better model that is based on evidence and reality I will have no problem with tossing those theories out.

Yes, a realtionship with the One true living God...Through His Son Who died and rose again to pay for your sins and to give you as a gift, eternal life, freely given to all that decide to accept this gift. A gift is not a gift until you accept it. You made your decision to refuse that gift and God has given you the freedom to choose. So I hope and pray that before your precious life ends you choose to live eternally. I have given you THE COMPLETE TRUTH. I will see you in the end either way.

Well, if your christianity is not a religion your pastor or whoever should be sued. He gets all the money his parishioners give tax free based on religious tax breaks.

Can you disprove the possiblity of fairies? Of course not, and it would be silly for me to ask you to. If I say fairies exist it should be upon me to prove they exist, not for someone to disprove. Why should the existence of a god be any different?

If you care for your eternal "wellfare" haha, you would at least prove all doctrines. Kent Hovind has been to my church and I do thnk he is spot on, But I was convinced before Kent. As for fairies, theres no eternal purpose or benefit to believe in them nor do they offer any words of eternal life. The Koran is a complete opposite from the Bible.

Just because there is no purpose or benefits to fairies makes their existence no less real or unreal. If a god exists the benefits of such would have no bearing on its reality. I want reality, not hopes of a god saving me. I want real, not Kent Hovinds laughable explanations for life and the universe.
