what size dauntless did you just put this on? I just got a 180 dauntless and was wondering when it folds down how far it sticks out in front of console and/if it goes past bow of boat when folded down.
Use black zip ties, because they are stronger than white ties. I used white ties to start with, and I broke them when I tightened the top. You need to put some muscle into tighteninig your zip ties so they play a tune when you strum them.. When you have them tight, you should be able to bounce a penny off the canvas top.
TIP: Keep your zip ties loose and ALWAYS work opposite sides. Secure your top front to back, then side to side. After that work your corners. Zip tie the front left and the back right corners. Then zip tie your front right and your back left corners.
After you have tightened down your zip ties, spray the top with water. The top will stretch out a little bit when it is wet. After it stretches, tighten your zip ties. Don't forget to work opposite sides when tighteninig.
If you live in North Texas, then feel free to swing by and take a look at my top. Once you see it, you will choose Stryker. By the way, my name is Charles.
I shopped around for tops and even had some custom shops email me their designs. The cheapest custom top I found with a rocket launcher was $1800.00, and it was not half as nice as the stryker top. I decided to buy the Stryker top, and I could not be happier. Everybody who sees my top wants to know who made it. People even compliment the beautiful welding job they did on the joints.
If you are trying to decide on a t-top and have questions, then feel free to call me. (817) 706-1370
