  • how adjustable is this vest? im pretty darn scrawny and i wanna know if itll fit without any sag or something before i buy it

  • can you put a yote on this rig?

  • @alexandre95

I believe so! I own a Yote and have an RRV on order. give me a week to report back. but as it is compatible with the MAP it should be so also with the Yote.

  • why did you sell it?

  • will the built in mag holders accept ak mags

  • @1975acidburn

there are no built in mag holders, the RRV is all molle.

  • @unmotomarine0351 Best I've seen. I usually build my own from old LC2 and 550 cord. But at least you know not to tac gear to your plate carrier.

  • @1975acidburn If it is similar to the Pantac, there is a velcro pouch under the molle in the front that should fit at least 2 AK mags.

  • OORAH!

    MarineChaps

    0311

  • Not bad Marine!

    0311

  • @MarineChaps

    thanks!

  • @unmotomarine0351 how much?

  • @sharp69antifa

    its sold

  • im selling the RRV in this video if anyones interested PM me. otherwise it goes to the fleabay.

  • So I'm ready to put down some cash to get a front plate... I found Velocity system ESAPI, is that a decent plate?

I've seen more expensive plates but some vendor don't sell to lowly civilians:s

  • @pittwm

yes, velocity systems is a good company.

  • What size plates will this hold?

  • @Patriot5401

id say 10x12 would be the limit, i have medium ESAPIs (10x12, about an inch thick) and i think that is the limit for it. Larges might fit if they are thinner...

  • hey dewd what kinda airsoft m4 do you run!? that SEAL loadout is dope! i bet it deflects lots of bbs!

  • @Patriot5401

    I KNOW! ITS BB PROOF!

  • Where can you buy a new EI RRV? I can't find it anywhere :S

  • @ensampojken

    Skdtac and triadtactical

  • " i got it cheaper cus ... i'm cool " ahah awesome :P

  • Thanks, I saw it at SKD site of what you mentioned.

  • @pittwm

SKD is the best of the best, rest assured you're shopping at a reputable source!

  • What plate size goes in the front? I been researching and most plate I see are 10X12 but the front pocket looks like 8" behind the front panel...

  • @pittwm

its made to fit shooters cut plates. measurement is still considered 10x12, but they have the cut on top for shouldering you rifle. the standard issued sapi plates will fit.

  • i cant find tht vest now were

  • @crackdown2isthebest

triad tactical .com has coyote brown, ACU, and tricolor desert in stock, and skdtac . com has multicam, ranger green, and coyote in stock.

  • oh yeah another thing, what size sapi plates will it hold would an 8x10 work?

  • really cool vid man, i ship out mcrd san diego in aug, I really like you setup i was looking for a good platform for building a chest rig and now i think im going with the rrv. Btw it was pretty funny i noticed you were dipping in the vid im doing the same thing as i was watching it. And thank you for you service to our country.

  • @xDIEHARDxUSMCx

are you building one for personal use or for use in the Corps? if its the latter, then you really need to wait. depending on what your MOS will be, along with what unit you are in (THIS MATTERS ALOT), you might not be able to wear a personal chest rig. The RRV is very versatile, i love it. as far as plate size, you need to have shooter cut plates, the ones with the top corners cut at an angle. if its an ESAPI, like the issued ones, i have mediums and they are a hard fit.

  • @unmotomarine0351 no its just for personal use, my mos is 0311

  • @xDIEHARDxUSMCx

awesome man, when you get to ITB try and get a weapons MOS!

  • would you double stack the taco pouches, or would a more soild base layer like your running be better??

  • @ImMrTriggerHappy

they are fairly solid when double stacked, ive seen plenty people do it and tried rigs with them set up that way. i just dont have enough of them to double stack them myself. it all depends on how many mags you want to carry. i think a good set up would be 4 across the front single, then a double mag pouch on your side. if you run a sidearm, check out HSGI's Double Decker Taco, its a taco with a pistol taco sewn to the front, so you can run any rifle mag with any pistol mag.

  • @unmotomarine0351 Sounds good, thank you sir

  • wear are you stationed?

  • @triggerdude

i used to be at camp lejeune, then at fort gordon when i was in the army, and now im a civi in OHIO!!!

  • how many airsoft BBs do those pmags hold?

  • @cpage305

I don't know since they aren't airsoft mags...maybe 300 if I take the floorplates off and dump em in haha

  • nice Shoes and Pants by the way:D

  • @wearespecialists

Bahaha thanks lol...my comfy clothes lol

  • @ unmotomarine0351

ok nice I look forward to seeing that review!! Yeh they look great, i just hav'nt handled them yet. On HSGI's site they also sell pistol tacos by themselves. I'll prob build up my RRV with all tacos for rifle and pistol, until then i may have to use cheapo pouches jsut to get it up and running until i get to ordering the. When i get my RRV set-up ill make a vid.

  • @isles622

i absolutely love them. theyre especially great for people who run multiple platforms (AR15, AR10, AK47, AK74, FAL, etc)...Tacos fit them all! They came out with double tacos that have pistol tacos attached to them, ive played with those and love them as well. i need to buy more actually lol. i plan on doing a review of the tacos in the future.

  • I heard reports that the RRV's bib will not accommodate a large SAPI plate. Do you know if a medium size SAPI plate will work with the rig?

  • @TangoDown11

i personally have Medium ESAPI plates, and they will work, but it is stretched to the max due to the tightness of the elastic on the bib and the thickness of an ESAPI. anything less than the thickness of the ESAPI, and a medium shape (10x12), should be fine.

  • @unmotomarine0351 Roger that. So a medium standard (black plate) SAPI should be good to go?

  • @TangoDown11

yeah it should be good, but remember that you will have to wear a soft armor vest underneath it, as there is no way to put a plate backer in the RRV.

  • Comment removed

  • @unmotomarine0351 That's right. Do you run the Eagle LVAC as the soft armor for the RRV? I got a Paca Low Vis which is pretty much the same thing as the LVAC as it also takes the BALCS cut soft armor.

  • @TangoDown11

Yes i do, but i run the plates in the LVAC. The PACA kicks ass tho, im thinking of getting one actually, theyre a little more low profile than the LVAC. i love my LVAC tho haha.

  • @idealano

that is what the crossbar velcro piece is for, and if you wear them X style then you wont have an issue either. wearing with a backpack isnt a big deal, it really depends on the style of shoulder straps the pack has. for me i havent had an issue with any of my packs. if you are wanting it just for airsoft or a few range trips, the condor might work for you. if you want it for work or you expect it to hold up with harsh abuse, spend the extra money and get the eagle. hope this helps!

  • @idealano

honestly i cant compare the two...eagle is made to such a higher standard. condor is specifically a budget tac gear company, so thats what you get. eagle is one of the biggest suppliers of gear to the us military, and everything i have ever seen from them is top notch. they may look the same but thats about it. stitches will come undone, the molle straps might be sewn out of spec making it harder to attach pouches, etc. i dont have any problems with the shoulders straps sliding off,

  • Nice too see reviews from someone who clearly knows what they are talking about... Good review, nice rack ;-)

  • @premiertremere

i really appreciate that, thats what i try and bring to the table. thanks man! (and nice joke too lol)

  • Nice review. RRV is my personal pref too.

    BTW, drinink Coke during review?

  • @sauliusipsc

haha yeah, i had a dip in. me dipping in my videos seems to be a big point in the comments of my videos! and thanks, i love my RRV...im saving up money for an eagle PC w/CB though...

  • what kind of light is that?

  • @noyaba

    Inova VIP

  • @noyaba

I just realized I said inova. Its an adventure lights VIPIR, the IR/green version of the VIP.

  • Thanks for sharing.

  • @DanBowenTV

    no problem!

  • I really couldn't hear you that well, but what kind of mag pouches are you running on there? Make and model please. Thanks.

  • @BON32MAT86

the rear mags are held in a triple shingle made by specter gear, then on top of that, the two on the left are HSGI Tacos, and the one on the right is an Eagle M4 FB mag pouch.

  • @BON32MAT86

also on the specter gear shingle, it comes with removable flaps, but i got a bungee kit from HSGI (i got it from the shop for cheaper), its about 7 dollars on the site, and it comes with the bungees and the pull tabs, easy to install if you wanna go that route.

  • Exactly what I was looking for. That's my idea of a perfect low-profile rig. Thanks!

  • @PompousFlea

great! very versatile as well with the rear plate carrier or the MAP pack that directly attaches to the rig, as well as the eagle Yote pack can also directly attach.

  • @unmotomarine0351 fuckinA rite, those tacos kick ass!!!... great lightweight chest rig, squared away... tight work..

  • @FTW20ten

    thanks!

  • What kind of light is that?

  • @b00gym4n

    INOVA VIP

  • Great VID man. Probably the best ive seen. Its been said before but thank god a real military guy made a vid for real men using it for real world situations. Nothing against airsoft but come on already. Anyway nice vid.

  • Amen to that, you can't find anything on here but airsoft.

  • @84MPsoldier

    thanks alot man!

  • How small do they make these? So far everything I have found has been to big for me.

  • @wolfzz5

the RRV comes in one size, it has a lot of adjustability.

  • how do u like the rrv vest? as far as comfortable, quality and mobility

  • @wolverine223

    great, great, and great.

  • Great video!!! Im looking for a new setup for my M1A. I have a 30" waist, and its hard finding equipment that fits me well. Do you mind telling my the width of the RRV from end to end in inches? Thanx man and again great video...

  • @0technics0

i am in georgia and do not have my gear here with me, so im sorry but i cant give your the measurements right now. however, i have a 34 inch waist and there is still plenty of adjustability left in the straps both ways.

  • awesome, im thinking of getting this and it looks great.

  • Damn, finally a review made by somebody who uses the stuff in the real world. I've been in the Army for 8 years now and everytime I try to find a review about a new piece of kit that I've been looking at it is always some airsoft kid who doesn't have a clue what he's talking about. Thanks for doing the review and making it clear that you're not one of those airsoft punks. I'd like to see your follow ups on the mag pouches. I have been thinking about getting them myself.

  • @FollowMe12B

thanks man! i definately plan on doing a full review on the Taco Pouch, as well as the Double Decker Taco which is a Taco with a pistol taco pouch sewn to the front, they are just being released. it might be awhile, i just got out of the Corps and am now at Ft Gordon doing AIT for 25Q...i came to the dark side....

  • @unmotomarine0351

Nice, super commo hehe. Yeah, the Army isn't that bad. I have alot of buddies that were in the Corps first and then came over here and they seem to like it, who knows. My first deployment I was attached to 2nd MarDiv and everything we did was with the Marines, I liked it, they were a good bunch. Yeah let me know about those pouches. I've been rocking an HSGI Weesatch but I've been looking for a way to customize it for better mag retention and access.

  • Thanks for the review man. I have been looking at these for a while, I want to use it on my next trip to Afghanistan. Have you used it with your armor on?

  • @recon562001

i havent tried it with any issued armor, but it fits real nice over a low pro carrier.

  • @recon562001

also, if you are looking for a chest rig, and want one to use over issued armor, check out HSGI. look at their warlord series, the guys at HSGI have a system to attach it straight to your armor. i put them on attached to the MTV and the SPC, and if i had extra money at the moment i would definitely pick one up.

  • Thanks man. I'm being told that we are getting plate carriers next time around so the RRV is still on top of my list. Either way it will still come in handy when the zombies come around haha.

  • SKD occasionally has the back plate carrier in Khaki, and one more place I just can't remember the name of...

  • @Gorilman34

yeah i know but they are out of stock, triad tactical carries them as well...but out of stock on khaki.

  • ive got that same rig for airsoft
