  • There he is Philly.

  • Åhhh vilken fantastiskt bra kanal du har ÅK47bandit med alla america graffiti låtarna

  • how you make this video ?

  • If you have to ask a gypsy if your girl loves you, you are living on fumes.

  • makes me want to run over and rape the girl next door . BUT ...id give flowers first.. iam not an asshole ! being this a all romatice song and such..

  • So much comes flooding back with these songs. School dances, holding hands and having real thrills and tingles with that first 'love.' Family times, Christmases, Family reunions, going to Mass with all my siblings, my Grandparents etc...A time that seemed a lot less jaded and cynical. A time rife with real emotions, honesty and friendship. Pardon my sentimental musings!

  • Heard many times on vibersonic system in my nomad-thanks for your providings

  • THE GYPSY CRII YIYIYIY YIYI.I love this song lol

  • 50`s and 60`s best time,songs so brilliant

  • I feel the same way about growing up in the 50s and 60s.

    the memories are great!!!

  • I feel so lucky to have been a youngster in the late 50s and early 60s. never a better time.would'nt trade it for anyother before or since. it sure was fun!

  • @TheBabyboomkidof53 U r so right about that. My mother told me I was to young to listen to all these songs or watch "Bandstand" but I did & am so glad I didn't "miss" it all. The music was so much a part of my childhood, even listening to my parents "country" as they liked Ernest Tubb, Hank Williams, & The Stanley Brothers.

  • What was the song from American Graffiti 'bout the girl on the railroad...???

  • @theyorkie50 teen angel by mark dinning...

  • Thanks for all the great songs you have posted. Sure brings back some great memories of wonderful times. :)

  • Gene Pitney did this song well, too.

  • Is he still with us? thanks for posting

  • @cushtichavi Yes he is. He still sings in revues. Saw him on an oldies tv show a couple of years ago, and he still has the crystal voice, pitch range and air control as he did back then. Still sounds exactly the same.

  • amazing artist

  • Thanks for sharing these old songs. Love it!!!

  • Brings back memories of MOM cooking while we watched gigantor, 8th man and speed racer on tv with WABC playing this weird guy on the radio!

  • Great -- but can anyone tell me where in the movie this song plays ? I can't find it.

  • Lou Christie rocks!

  • great song. great lyrics

  • All of his songs are great, including his later stuff, but his best IMO are the 50's sounding songs from the early 60's "The Gypsy Cried" (1962) and "Two Faces Have I" (1963).

  • Love oldies, Especially this song =D

  • Check out that killer falsetto.

  • Listen to the Gypsy. She knows best.

  • i'm sick of all the new shit now a days, if someone doesn't start a new band that sound's like it's classic I will.

  • Could the Bee Gees have been influenced by Lou Christie?

  • @rgarcia77 Falsetto was pretty common in the late 50s and early 60s, so you may be partially right in a sense. However, the early Bee Gees rarely used falsetto, they were more a folk rock group known for songs like "Lonely Days", "I started a joke", and "Massachussetts".

  • STILL AWESOME thnx for the memories happy 2011

  • i luv it i cant get enough of these great oldies :)

  • I became a Lou Christie fan when I 1st heard TWO FACES HAVE I on Top-40 radio!

  • probably one of my favorite "oldies" songs <3

  • he's lucky the gypsy didn't rob him.

  • I was on the other side of the world....fixin' Uncle Sugar's fighter birds when this hit the base theather ....What a trip home! Lots a tears from Good American Marines & Airmen that night.

  • I wonder if lou christy, had an influence on brian wilson's, falsetto singing style ?

  • @TheBabyboomkidof53 Brian was already doin this before this song came out. Brians falsettos started when he was young.By 1962 the Beach Boys already were on top. Four Freshmen were what got him going

  • @AxlFaux1 both this song and the beach boys first surfer girl were 1962. but surfer girl was'nt a smash hit by any means so I question the statement " already on top " the beach boys mass popularity did'nt begin until 1964 with I get around. surfer girl was more popular after 1964 then its original release date.

  • @TheBabyboomkidof53 yes true, but Brian had already had found his voice before this song was what the remark was about, nothing to do with surfer girl. Surfin Safari album and single had come out in 1961 and then the Surfin Usa album a few months later. And again Brian had been doin his voice long before that with Carl and the Passions and then Kenny and The Cadets.

  • @AxlFaux1 good points and glad to converse with you on the topic. I well recall the early competion between the beatles and the beach boys for chart domanance in 64-65. the stones may have been second to the beatles in britian but on this side of the pond during that time frame it was beach boys all the way!

  • @AxlFaux1 another thing is how many historians miss the fact I pointed out before. either by poor research, assumption,or revisionist desires they make the stones second to the beatles. what they fail to do is recognize it was in two periods. before I cant get no satisfaction, and after. after its true, they are second to the beatles in america as well. but before satisfaction, its the beach boys.

  • @AxlFaux1 Im sorry, Surfin Safari album came out in Oct 62 and Surfer Girl the album came out in 63

  • @AK47--great pics from the movie...............

  • I was just listening to Lou this morning, and WOW, the feeling only gets better! A yummy feeling, and soooo exciting. I want to get up, and just dance, dance when I hear this song, and really I can say all his songs make me want to dance. Those were the best years of my life.

  • WOW! can never get enough of his music! I met him when he came to Savannah, a few years back! Wish he would visit again, and soon! A great person, and his music speaks for itself! Yes, and goose bumps it is, and when you hear his music, it makes you want to get up amd dance!

  • @annadrella13 Ditto

  • Can you imagine a duo between Lou Cristie and Frankie Valle.............!

  • @oledeebutgoodee I think that Lou Christie was an IMITATOR of Frankie Valli. Lou was a wannabe, Valli was the real deal. However, a duo between the two would be interesting to say the least.

  • love it , never heard it before :p

  • EXCELLENT, ALSO I LIKE THAT LEAD GUITAR UP FRONT.

  • What a song!!! Wonderful performance , beautiful voice!!!! I got tingles in my ........ wop!!

  • This was a gigantic hit in NYC when it came out, played constantly here.

  • Sueezee1, I get goose bumps just looking at him, among other things ; )

  • Shower of Stars, Bitming ham Ala. 1960's

  • Not played as much as some other Lou songs but song blows me away like a hurricane. Lou's manager was a real gypsy or something like that, I forget, and too tired to look it up?

Oh no no no no listen to the what the gypsy said.

  • A voice never ever duplicated to date. The astonishing Lou Christie, and just listen to his backup singers ! Wow.

  • das ist einfach die beste music des jahres oldies und 80er best music of the world

  • Great song-great voice (talk about a wide vocal range!) Lou is very under rated!

  • I love this so much!

  • Lou Christie: "Falsetto God" of the early 60s... I think he was actually better at it than Frankie Vali, but Frankie could hit a slightly higher note. Still, Lou had such a beautiful Tenor voice that just slid effortlesly to the Falsetto and made it sound wonderful!!

  • im looking for a song i dnt remember the name it's a duet im not sure of the lyrics but this what i remember ......................im going over seas ...... won't you please marry marry me i know it's much and doesn't make sense but thats what remember

  • @jacobcanava Hmmmm... As one of the selections from the You tube panel on the right associated with Lou Christie, is a song called "I'm gonna get married" Click on it and see if that is the one you are looking for, could be.

  • @jacobcanava The name of the song you are looking for is called "A Casual Look" by the Six Teens.

  • I love this song.

  • i wonder if his fellow centanarians (sp) are teasing him?

  • he did this song before goin into Army..Came out and did "Lightning Striking Again." FYIMO..

  • so that makes you 109 now?

  • lmao i know hahaha

  • I see we have a mathamagician in the house

  • I love Lou Christy. I bought this record in 1962 when the song was released. I was teased when I bought it because I was 62 when I bought the record. Lou Christy is a legend. I also like the song Mr. Tenor Man.

  • For "American Graffiti" the song playing has to relate to the scene being played out (that is the "graffiti"). Can't think of a scene that could use this.

  • It has to be because this song came out in 1962, the same year that American Graffiti takes place in.

  • Thanks for posting !

  • Awesome! Great to hear it again after so many years.

  • wow this is a very good song.
