How long did it take you to come up with an insult, directed at me, that involved French culture in any way? First off: I don't support France's government at all. If you had noticed I only talked about their arts in comparison to ours wherein, with this very film, we mock them which is very ironic...This brings me to my next point.

Second: It's true that French cinema is incredibly intelligent and more thought provoking a.k.a. they actually challenge the viewer instead of offering easy fodder served up as entertainment (Wild Hogs anyone?).

Their past auteur's influence is still being worn upon the sleeves of their succeeding generation's work thus making their films still, in some way, intelligent whereas we have disregarded the brilliance of past artists and produce films that rarely have any ingenuity at all. This is all reflected in our mainstream movies, mind you, because our "indie scene" is becoming fairly respectable in it's own right.
