I looked this up just for the victory incidental, though all the music is just awesome, especially the theme. I heard the final death song too many times though when I played this on the C64 back in the day. Paul Norman really put all into this game, with parallax scrolling backgrounds and huge sprites, and the great music.

Even the details reveal how great this game is: look at the intelligent behaviour of the spiders: when your bow is not loaded they charge at you, but as soon as you notch your arrow they run for their lives, to bite you back just when you're very close at them. Amazing...

@Megawatt The Last guy keeps coming closer and at the end he just eats you,

a gigantic head drops down on the archer from above. You only get one try,

if he eats you once you're finished.

Great game. Programmers were skilled those days. Utilizing the tiny resources of C64 to the max. Think of games like Impossible mission and Elite ... astonishing.
