  • "My good buddy, Faith Hill!!"

  • Faith has written or co written but she never thought they were good enough for anyone else to hear. but with her new album coming out this fall,Tim said she has been working hard on it and she said she has written a lot of it. her inspiration to write came from zac brown and Miranda Lambert. Tim and Faith both love "the house that built me" Tim said he wished he would have recorded it. Faith and Tim always give credit to the writers, they know how hard they work. they also have their own co.

  • I Commented Again....... I Adore This Song!!!!

  • Go Faith Hill!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • listen to kara's version, i'm not saying it's better but she gives it so much feeling and emotion that mekes her version much more honest tha faith hill's, wich makes a lot of sense since she's the one who wrote the song in the first place.

  • i so miss faith , i cant wait till she comes back

  • i phucking love kara dioguardi and faith hill <3333

people have no idea how many hits kara wrote. i love schooling people on kara facts. i'm like you know this song . . well kara wrote it. boom LOL

  • I like Kara and Faith but I like Anouk's "Lost" much better.

  • @IX19UT8O

Yes, a beautiful song...but did you know that it's not even the same song?!? Why compare the two...WOW!?! I think you're "LOST". Who else agrees?

  • @Je9Vocal: Where in my comments did I compare the two songs, and where did I state they were the same songs? I was searching YT for Anouk's "Lost" and type only "lost" in the search parameters and I got both videos. I watched both and then merely stated that "I like Anouk's "Lost” better" acknowledging in those comments two different songs. If you ever went to school, you were "LOST" when English was taught because you have trouble reading and understanding it.

  • @Je9Vocal: Besides Anouk "wrote" her Lost and released it as part of her "Hotel New York" album in December 2004 almost two and a half years before Faith HiIl first released her "The Hits" album (that included Kara DioGuardi's Lost) in May 2007. There's no need to comment that these are two different songs, it's clear to any intelligent person, which obviously you're not.

  • I've read all the comments. I've watched this so many times over. I also watched Kara's version. Kara was sitting down so singing an emotional song one can't help but sing it the way she did. But I bet she can't sing it like that stading up and in front of that crowd having only learned the song in 48 hrs like Faith did. And Kara towards the end really over-sang it too much that you can hardly make out the words. So, Faith's version is better.

  • i like kara DioGuardi singing this song!

  • i absolutely love this song. It is really beautifully written and well crafted in terms of the lyrics and melody and the form of the song. Hats off to Kara Dioguardi and Mitch Allan for writing this song! and to Faith Hill as well for learning this song in 48 hours

  • I like both versions.. Kara has lots of emotion and that makes it great, Faith´s highes notes are a bit clearer

  • Love reba's accent, love the way she says Faith hill,

  • Listen to Fiona Culley's version of this song - she's really good!

  • Hill's debut album was Take Me as I Am (1993); sales were strong, buoyed by the chart success of "Wild One."

  • She is freakin awesome!! =D She is heavier here than Ive ever seen her (not that its a bad thing... shes beautiful =) lol) is this after she had her baby? She can sing reeeeallly good live btw :D

  • @PropertyofKY No Faith did not just have a child before this performance. She just hit a snag in her workout routine. Actually in her own words, she stopped completely. This performance was in 2007, her youngest child, Audrey was born in 2001.

  • @SexyLilLezNTx I still think she looks amazing...hate when she goes too skinny! Curves are good :p

  • @pps1fan I completely agree. A little meat on the bones has NEVER hurt anyone. I do NOT need to see her rib cage to think she is sexy. Faith is a beautiful woman.

  • @PropertyofKY FAITH HAD HER LAST BABY IN 2001. THIS WAS DONE IN 2005 OR 06 WASN'T IT. i DON'T REMEMBER,BUT I DO RECALL TIM SANG THE SAME NIGHT HIS SONG "IF YOU RE READING THIS AND HIS SONG GOT A LOT MORE ATTENTION. WHICH WAS NOT FAIR TO FAITH,BUT IS THE MUSIC BUSINESS. THIS SONG OF FAITH'S DID NOT GET PAST 30 ON THE TOP 100. TIM'S NEW SONG AFTER HE FINALLY RELEASED IT WENT TO NO. 3.

  • i love this song it was so well written and so well sang

  • I find that Faith Hill is not a strong singer live. I dont mind her singing on video and radio but she seems to run out of steam live...I like Kara's version much better. I hope Kara comes out with an album...

  • @shaesgrammi i agree

  • @shaesgrammi i agree...but it's obvious isn't it it? kara's version is a lot better cause she wrote it...i mean don't you agree if a person like kara for example writes a song it is from her point of view and experience so the ability for kara to emote when she sang this song was more heart felt and honest....well that's my point of view..haha

  • Kara is a great writer, but I heard her sing this and did not like her version of it. it is a beautiful song and I was so surprised it didn't get any further on the chart than 30.the problem I think was that she chose to sing this song the same night her husband sang "If your reading this" and his song was a hit overnight because of what it was for ,the fallen soldiers. this song was sung at the wrong time,I guess. I love it and thought it should have been a smash, but it was not.

  • Who does Kara think she is ? LOL she WROTE this song genius

  • Who does Kara think she is? Obviously she wasn't GREAT enough to get a record deal and have No.1 singles. GO FAITH HILL!! BEAUTIFULLY DONE!!!

  • @seniormustang09 Kara wrote it!!! She's never recorded to be a single! She simply cut a demo to sell her song to an artist, aka FAITH HILL....wow do your research!

  • @B73woods I know Kara wrote it. I was saying that I thought Faith sang it better. That's all and I like Kara.

  • @seniormustang09

Right, because it's wrong to want to devote your talents to song writing. Without people like Kara, people like Faith would have nothing to sing. There's no shame in choosing a different path like Kara has done. The truth of the matter is that they both sing the song well. Why does everything always have to be a competition?

  • @Michelle1010 Very Well said they are both amazingly talented! Everything is always a competition. just like when Faith performed ABBA on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame concert. why can we not just enjoy the music?

  • This is Kara's best song in my opinion. I don't care for Kara's music. It is okay as is her vocals.

Faith sings this song much better than Kara.

  • I love Faith Hill! She's awsome! <3333

  • Wow she sings awesome

  • i love reba's introduction!

  • This was written by Kara Dioguardi. She's the judge from American Idol..

  • Good buddy...

  • YEAH FAITH! way to go! there is no one better than faith to learn a Kara DioGuardio song that quick---pull it together and perform it so excellently!! our entire house LOVES faith and tim! a very special "HI TO FAITH AND MAGGIE AND GRACIE" from the peeps that lived around the corner from your parents in the CLICKS OLD HOUSE! God Bless!

  • Faith is so gorgious, so does this song indeed.

    I really love the song.

Faith's voice in this was quite unstable though. Common girl keep it up.

  • when did this song first come out

  • I love this song! What an awesome singer Faith is!! Lol... this so reminds me of the love I had back in 2007. It's long over now though. :(

  • Be kind...give love...it will find its way back to you!;)

  • I love her and that song

  • @jsandlin08 Faith's vpice has matured like no other artist i can think of. she went from a country singer to someone with powerhouse vocals. its incredible to me.

  • Faith always picks this big songs that are a bit over her range and then she always struggles a bit with the high notes. But it sort of has become her sound/style and she nails the lower range so well.

  • u know what? i agree with you completely.

  • @gduque03 Faith Hill sings Oh Holy Night.avi put that in the youtube search, watch it and tell me what you think.

  • Very nice. She was definitely in much better voice that day. But don't take me wrong. I do love this performance even if her vocals weren't perfect.

  • why exactly are our comments being thumbed down?

  • I like this version, but yeah I love Kara. To have amazing vocal ability, but to have the authenticity to perform anything wins my vote.

  • FAITH HILL = AMAZING!!

  • awesome!

  • Does anyone hear a little feed back?

  • Yeah...I thought it was just me...guess not lol.

  • it's different when the composer is singing her own song. it's her emotion, her heart, her spirit pouring out. i always respect how composers interpret their songs even if their voices are not as good/powerful as the singers'.

  • beautiful! But she does strain her voice slightly...but faith hill rocks!

  • hum i think i like faith hills version rather than kara's version even though kara puts emotion and passion to it, because i think its just her range and good frasing. but what i dont like in her performance here is her interpretation. she seems not 'lost' hehe or doesnt understand the song... i think

  • No, she just learned the song like two days before and to sing live and in front of your peers when you didn't have much time to prepare.

    Just my opinion.

  • i love carrie, martina, and all the other great country vocalists...but at some point all their songs sound the same. On the other hand, i think faith hill is always trying new music and testing her ability to sing and changing her tone and pitch for different songs. oo and i love jennifer nettles her voice is so different.

  • na her tone is anything but unque....the edy and grunginess comes from force and style...not unique...tone is what ay born with not what ya force...she can sing without a shadow of a doubt but she aint unique and thats why she is a legend of a songwriter and not a singer despite 3 record deals

  • Hey I'm with ya on the passion but as a songwriter you put yourself in the lyrics, usually it's happened to you and thats were the passion comes from particulary if your a singer too and can sing the emotion.Kara has got a great voice but for me she hasn't got individuality. She sings each song different, the way she thinks it should sound and therefore as a vocalist she isn't the singer Faith Hill is.Also Faith very nervous here, but chops to em both..both great females in their own right!!

  • well kara will have more meaning in the song and if from personal experience then will obviously feel it more..but as tone and voice then Faith will win..thats why kara is the songwriter and she is the singer...

  • i agree, faith's voice is one of a kind, but kara is certainly an enormously talented woman as well

  • there is a difference in " singing" a song ( just going through the words) and " performing" a song. Kara "performs" and makes the song real and passionate.

  • agreed !

  • I really like this song.... I like Kara, but I'm gonna have to vote Faith on this one : )

  • kara and kicth allan please give him credit he sings in the video and wrote that song too :P

  • i like karas version too

  • 她没有Kara唱得好~~去看看Kara唱的!!超赞

  • credit to DioGuardi n Allan, yo. lol. great song. like Kara's version better tho, lol. wat can i say, she's my hero.
