  • Can you use ableton live with this?

  • i've watched this close to 20 times just because your voice is so soothing. more reviews!

  • I would really appreciate it if anyone could reply with an answer. Does anyone know some good speakers that would be compatible with the Vestax Spin?

  • Can you hear both track in each ear ?

  • so u can get the drivers for this on pc too, right??

  • @Mu5ik4Life If you're on a PC, you'll want to get the Vestax Typhoon which is the same except for colour and it comes with PC software

  • Can I mix hardstyle, electro, house and techno songs with this?

  • @rdahlqvist26 You can mix any type of music you like with this controller

  • Which is better : Vestax Spin or Numark Mixtrack pro?

  • I understood:

This is not meant to compete with a bdbfiajsknfjasbfaksdvbfias you can tell

  • do you know if its light ?

  • @poolpo17 it's made of plastic and is pretty light

  • great video man, thnx for posting

  • Is there any way to rewire the output of the Djay software in to Logic for recording the scratches? I would love to get this to do some scratching in my recording sessions, but I'm not sure how it would work out.

  • @onlyseanmeier Unfortunately Djay does not have ReWire support, however you can save your mix set (including the scratches) into an AIF file, and then import it into Logic. Kind of a PITA but it's the only way I can think of.

  • do you think this would be good enough to dj a school dance?

  • @MikeTalksMac Definitely...it's very easy to use.

  • its prob one of the better amateur DJ system...if u want professional get the vci 300

  • is it possible to use it with traktor or virtualDJ cause i have some bad things with djay

    thanks!

  • @flashcanx Yes, it's a standard MIDI controller, so as long as the other software can accept new mappings (both of the ones you listed can), then you can remap the controller. I'm not sure how headphone cueing will work though.

  • @keyofgreydotcom okay thanks

  • 2:10 THATS WHAT SHE SAID

  • price?

  • Mine kept breaking so I got rid of it after 3 weeks and went with the NS7FX from Numark. It's a much better machine.

  • @zodawg0079 lol obv its a better machine its a grand more expensive!

  • @rvandervest lol I know but it's worth every penny!

  • @zodawg0079 bhahaha HUGE price difference you forgot to mention

  • is the DJAY sticker on the front of the vestex spin removable???

  • @ando2230 Good question. I thought about taking it off, but didn't want to in case I messed it up and ruined the finish. I'm pretty sure you can take it off if you're careful though.

  • can i connect 2 cdj to this controller?

  • @soul499 i dont think so

  • how many cue points does the spin have? looks like only one?

  • @connorwilliamdavis The Spin itself only has 1 button for cue points however the djay software supports up to 3. What I've been doing is also mapping a Korg NanoPad to control cuepoints.

  • @keyofgreydotcom So do you think it is better for me for get the vci-100 if im looking for multiple cue points on the controller? or get the spin/Korg setup

  • @connorwilliamdavis Well, if you get a VCI-100, it'll be much better quality for gigging however it costs a great deal more and you still have to buy software unless you're cool with running the light version of Traktor. You'll also need a good soundcard. The Spin is much cheaper, and adding a NanoPad isn't much more. So if you're going strictly cost-wise, it's much cheaper to go with the Spin. Quality-wise, I'd suggest going for VCI-100

  • @keyofgreydotcom I can connect the Korg Nanopad with the spin using DJay all at once? as in using the nanopad cues in a mix using the spin. im assuming so, just inexperienced with this.

  • @connorwilliamdavis I am currently using both the Spin and the NanoPad at the same time. Whatever functionality I use frequently that isn't already mapped on the Spin, I trigger with the NanoPad (including multiple cuepoints).

  • it runes traktor??

  • that it works with Virtual DJ????

  • The Spin is a normal MIDI controller, so you can hook it up to any DJ software you want, you'll just have to custom map it. While you can map the Spin to Traktor, there's a special version of the Spin, called Typhoon that is specifically made to run with Traktor so I'd look at that first.

  • Hey, thanks. The Typhoon looks cool. I'm considering moving to something smaller then Serato and turntabls

  • do i need power or just USB`

  • You can just use the power from your USB port....no power adapter required.

  • hi, Does this only work with Mac?

  • The Vestax Spin has software that is Mac only, but you could map it to your Windows DJ software if you wanted. There is also another Vestax model called the Typhoon that is exactly the same except for the colour. It runs Traktor, and can be used on either the Mac or PC.

  • Hook us up with more videos! ASAP!

  • Done!

  • Cool video. Can't wait for the video where you try it. Do you know if this will be sold in europe in the future?

  • The new videos are up now! I don't know if it'll be sold in Europe unfortunately. However, given that DJing is immensely more popular in Europe than in North America, It would be hard to imagine Apple/Vestax denying that market.
