Katg18, your story does hit to to heart. Have you thought about the children going into adoption instead? The conditions that you state are harsh-- crisis pregnancy centers are offering diapers, food, etc., for families unable to provide necessities. I suggest looking into a CPC in their area or near-- Also, your friends might like to hear about Natural Family Planning-- look into this natural method of birth control, where it does not harm the life of anybody or cost a thing. Sincerely, Jessica
I wonder how you would feel looking at my friend's home that had no diapers, food, toilet paper, or formula for the four children that lived there. Do you send these women these things? My two friends that have had abortions had husbands, children (one with severe special needs) and very little resources. I used to be like you. An unwanted pregnancy and seeing the reality people face changed my mind.
I have to say, your technique sounds very nice compared to other prolife people I have run into. I'm sorry to say your arguments shall not win me over, but hey thats one person. Besides I just don't want children. God bless your work and keep it peaceful. it sounds like you are aTRULY doing it the right way.
If not everything is black and white, why are you arguing with me? Clearly, you think that your position IS black and white.
Abortion isn't saving themselves. Abortion hurts women. Many women do not want abortions. They're only there because they THINK that's their only choice.
I had an abortion 12 weeks ago, it was one of the most horrible exeriences, especially since i want children very much. But being only 20 years old and about to start an intensive university course, i wouldent have the finances or time than a child deserved. Im still in a lot of pain from the guilt and but i still believe i made the right decision even though 90% of the time i regret it.
Also when you have a termination you are made aware before of all the choices which are available to you.
im not stupid.. i am very aware that a feotus is a human being.
i am training to be a midwife...which was one of the reasons i had a termination. Its very hard to do both at once, my baby would be in daycare 8 hours a day 6 days a week which is both unfair and unaffordable.
Just because you can have a child and give it to someone else as adoption it doesnt mean thats what a woman would want to do or could live with doing that.
So what makes you think that taking your baby's life is fair?
I don't think you're going to get over it. You're going to see the ultrasounds on the monitor. The people who know most about the humanity of the unborn are people who deliver babies. It's going to hit you one way or another. You're going to see lots of women in your position who decided against abortion.
Some things aren't black & white. Some are. Decisions about taking innocent human life are black & white.
it wasnt a baby, it was a potential baby. It didnt have a nervous system or a fully developed brain. Ive seen plenty of ultrasounds since and people giving birth and tbh seeing all that makes the pain and the decision i made worthwhile. I love seeing other peoples babies and seeing them happy as a family, it reminds me that i couldent have given that to my child while i am at university. Its not right to bring a child into the world which you dont have the time or money to look after.
It's a human being but not a baby. Uh-huh. But you admit to feeling guilty about it and here you are arguing with pro-lifers trying to justify yourself.
If it's not a baby, then what is it? Saying it's a "potential" baby doesn't say what it actually is.
If you had a surgical abortion, that is, past 5 weeks gestation, the baby had a nervous system.
The babies that people are happy about are the same as the embryos they carried. It's one and the same, just at different stages.

But who cares what you think?

why would you do this? why dont you respect the right that people should have control over their own bodies?

When you care about people, you try to stop them from harming themselves.

Did anyone tell you abortion takes a human life?
BigBlueWave 2 years ago
dont talk to me like im an idiot
emraldplec 2 years ago 2
It is an empirical fact. The unborn child is a human being.
Did they tell you that?
Something tells me they didn't. When they make you aware of your choices, they should tell you exactly what your choices are.
Hiding the fact that abortion takes a human life is dishonest.
Sidewalk counselors exist precisely to help women in need who *don't* want an abortion but feel like they have no other choice.

I myself am against abortion above 16 weeks.
