  • When I was young I loved Iron Maiden in all and hated powerslave and now I am kind of not sick of it but listened to it all overly and now my favorite song of all time totally is Powerslave ; I am a drumer, guitar or whatever and please someone explain that to me.LOL I hated it so much and now????

  • great cover

  • the bending of the strings are unessecary!!!!!!

  • verses good but bridge & chorus timing is all out

  • the bass volume should be higher in every song!!!!

  • You can use a pick if you want, you can finger, sla and tap if you want, you can even use drum sticks or a violin bow, who cares ?Even flea used a pick, the mighty Roger Glover uses a pick, John paul jones used a pick, and it always sounded good, it's not used for speed, it's used for the sound. If you don't like it, just shut up.

  • Muito ruim...

  • NICEEEEEEEEEEE

  • mate nice done, about the pick no pick.. i play 80 % with fingers and the simple bass lines that need alot of attack i play with pick.. so i dont care if people say pick player are bad or good.. i play as i like most and if i wanne play the trooper with pick and american idiot with fingers who cares. only if it sounds good..

  • @bassboykevin

I'm the same, I play Trooper using a Pick. Makes it a lot easier to manage, and it still sounds really good, because I use the Steve Harris Rotosound strings.

If it sounds good, then do it. I don't care if Harris used his fingers. I'm not Steve Harris. Everyone plays different. It's all about preference in performance.

  • Pick or no who cares ? Create your own style, stop copying musicians. There is no right way to play, just bad musicians.

  • great job man

  • i hate bass whit pick...but very good cover

  • i think its so good cover, up the irons!

  • well, beside the fact that he's not playing the right part, I've seen worst...And may I add, the chorus is too fast to play staccato notes...

  • you do better!

  • @coua78 very true

  • t picked up a bass and decided to play as fast and sloppily as he does with guitar, and guess who else doesn't pick. And Tool is the second biggest name in prog metal right next to Dream Theater, and John Myung the finger-exclusive bassist is waaaay more impressive than Justin Chancellor.

  • @St0ckwell well you may be right, but justin chancellor is a good bassist no doubt.

  • john myung kicks justin's ass when it comes to fret board gymnastics, not too many guys can touch him when it comes to that, but Justin is very creative and writes killer riffs and has kick ass tone, these two bassists shouldn't even be compared to each other

  • garoto tem futuro

  • BTW, grand cover, nopicks!! Hahaha

  • Love your username nopicks!

    Can't stand pick bass

  • That's awfully shallow. D:

  • No it isn't. Pick bass is shit. That's why good sir Harris doesn't do it and the lowly faggot Pete Wentz (Fall Out Boy) does.

  • It's shallow like a kiddie pool, bro.

  • I already explained how it isn't shallow dumbass, and you still have yet to explain how it is.

  • More like a puddle now. D:

  • See. You are either trolling or you really can't prove that it's shallow. Either way, I don't need to further waste any time with you.

  • Can't you name one respectable bass player that uses a pick? If not, then you are shallow like yourself. D:

  • The only one is John Entwhistle and he used it VERY rarely. He was called Thunder Fingers for a reason. Picks are for Green Day, Fall Out Boy, Three Days Grace, My Chemical Romance, and Panic at the Disco. Fingers are for Iron Maiden, Metallica, The Who, Dream Theater, and Black Sabbath. Slapping just makes you a badass no matter what. Any questions?

  • You are a huge Tool, you know that?

  • Yeah, one question, St0ckwell..... Jason Newsted, Metallica's longest-serving bassist to date, used a pick, did he not?

  • Pete Wentz, Fall-Out Boy's longest-serving bassist to date, uses a pick, does he not? Oh wait there is a problem with the logic there. JASON NEWSTED FUCKING SUCKS. He isn't comparable to Burton or Trujillo. Yes I know there are very FEW good bassists that use picks but 99.9% of pickers are complete faggots. I'd rather be like Guns' N Roses and Aerosmith than Green Day, but that's just me. If you like dick you like dick, it's not my place to judge.

  • You're just arguing for the sake of arguing, I play with fingers 95% of the time, but coming from playing electric guitar, I can play with a pick when I want, no point in limiting yourself. I also used to be immature and look on bassists who use a pick as "shite", and "taking the easy way out", but bands like Tool, He Is Legend, Anti-Flag, Dameira, Yes, Less Than Jake, Guns 'n' Roses, Motley Crue, Rancid, Lynyrd Skynyrd and many more, all proved that pick players can write awesome basslines too.

  • Ah the "limiting" yourself excuse huh? So we might as well play piano with drumsticks and violin with banjo finger picks. IT ISN'T A VALID STYLE OF PLAY YOU JACKASS. It isn't immature it's playing the instrument by the only valid styles. I finger, I slap, and I tap. Those are valid styles. I don't pick because I am not a FAGGOT. Here are some tips, Tool has the only good picking bassist in the world. He is Legend is a shitty modern band with a shitty modern bassist. Anti-Flag is a shitty punk ba

  • pick,no-pick,pick....bullshit..

its a freaking bass guitar do whatever you want.....dosent matter if you use a pick or not.....its versatility not a matter of talent.

valid styles yeah right, i bet some moron wrote a freaking book on valid styles for playing bass

  • Dave Ellefson from Megadeth uses a pick. Do you think he is bad? Also Newsted isn't bad. Very clean player. You should Youtube search the metallica bass masters and find something out about Burton's playing.

Also recommend you youtube search 'zodiakironfist'.

  • @St0ckwell Go listen to Slayer, and you can shove your fingers up your ass. Tom played with fingers and switched to picks, and plays even better than before. I'm guessing playing a double bass with a bow is for pussies too? Get a fucking life you cock sucker.

  • Tell that to Justin Chancellor, using a pick doesn't make you a shit bassist.

  • D string out of tune, don't bend the strings when doing chords cos it gets really evident

  • at the solo i jizzed a little bit

  • 5/5

  • DUDE great cover keep it up almost perfect ^^

  • muy cierto, aunque dudo que la mayorís de personas aqui sepan si quiera qué es un vallenato jeje saludos desde colombia

on How to play it on bass

    very good job,

    iron maiden right on..

  • Very Good!...I <3 Iron Maiden...

  • nice

  • I start smiling when I listened this. Nice work man. One of my favorite Maiden songs.

    UP THE IRONS

  • great sound man!! (Like in the trooper vid!!) what bass and what equalization do you use?

  • Thanks!

My bass is a Peavey PVi (Peavey International Series)... that's what the headstock says...

No equalization... I connected the bass directly into the mic input using a 1/4 to 1/8 plug. I turned up the bridge pick-up and the tone knob, and left "turned off" the neck pick-up.

  • exellent!!!!!!

  • Good !

  • Awesome! i gotta practise...

  • what tabs did you use?

  • Very good.

one of my vid descrips says this but Ill repeat it:

I was in a IM tribute here is PGH CALLED POWERSLAVE, and played the shit out of all their stuff, so ANYONE who plays a tune from them that is any good at it, has my respect!!! I STILL LOVE IT!!!!

  • Awesome job man! Reeeealy good.
