Check out my video for Already Gone by the Eagles. You will get a general idea of what a hot rails sounds like, and judge for yourself if it's the type of sound you want.
Amp setup is a Marshall JMP-1 pre-amp, Marshall Valvestate 80W + 80W power amp, and a vintage 70s Marshall cabinet, run through a Jekyll & Hyde pedal.
i had an ultra, silver blue an red lace sensers, i mean, gold, could,t get the hang of it, seemed always outta tune, traded for my 91 ameraican standard, put a red bridge, an 2 gold lace sensers in it, scalloped it deeply, an here it sets with blackmore gauge strings, chords are kinda difficult, gotta pres very lightly , but can bend them strings really on fast bluesy runs.
No, it doesn't, but since I custom ordered it from Fender, it has something virtually no other Strat Ultra neck does. It has a Hendrix-era flared headstock. Go to my cover of 'Already Gone' by the Eagles to see what I'm talking about. :)
Still, I'm envious, to me the Strat Ultra is IT when it comes to strats, and I never was able to get one, and they're really rare now.
makes me want to change out my 12's down to 11's lol i just cant bend and vibrato as well now.

I have a Ultra and I love the neck, does yours have a bird's eye maple neck?

If you look on eBay there are about 1 every 2 weeks listed on there.
The best year was the first 1989 when they were made by fender custom shop since they hadn't set up production yet.
