  • Classic 70's lingala song. Reminds me of the Kampala of the 1970's, when Amin ruled supreme. Remember those bell-bottoms, eh?

  • ya

  • maybe you did not imagine, but these songs are heard in Colombia, my country especially in Barranquilla and Cartagena since the 70's, here are fans of his wonderful music, in fact the person who uploaded this song is from Barranquilla

  • One of my best favourites song, at last after 35 I got to listen to this song!!! its unbelivable, Thanks Killero72 for sharing, god bless you.

  • Perfection in the 70s!

  • In loving memory of my brother Kepher Otieno Omolo who drawn in a pool [Kware] Omera rest in peace!!

  • This guy Verckys Kiamuangana is quite a legend! He had an unerring ear for quality evidenced by his tireless work in bringing in the new lingala 70's sound. In 1974 music legend James Brown, on his visit to Zaire to perform at the Muhammad Ali-George Foreman fight, dubbed Verckys Kiamuangana as "Mister Dynamite"!

  • He is Verckys Kiamuangana Mateta. He and Sam Mangwana are two different people! Kiamuangana was born in 1944 in Kisantu, Congo. In 1969 he left Franco's TPOK Jazz to form his own band Orchestre Veve. In 1972 some of his band members left to form Orchestre Sosoliso Trio Madjesi. He recruited Pepe Kalle. At age 25 Kiamuangana established his own studio in Kinshasa going on to create and produce great bands such as Orchestre Lipua Lipua, Orch Kiam, Orch Les Kamale, Zaiko Langa Langa, Kofi Olomide.

  • This is one of Africa's best. God bless this band and the person who posted this song.

  • @mr sejjengo tru thats correct but he is not sam mangwana who is a very older man than verkeys.or are they the same pple?

  • Lovely old hits, brings back childhood memories growing up in eastern Nigeria then.Quite fun listening to my elder ones singing along as the music is been played in the popular IBS radio station.Oh Africa, home of good and undiluted music. Thanks for sharing anyway.[4rom United Kingdom].

  • i am mixed up on this as well. Always thought Sam Mangwana was the lead singer in Verkcys or Veve but looking at Sam Mangwana he bares no resemblance to the guy on all Verkcys cd covers
