Bravo. While digital cameras are convenient, unless you spend a fortune on one, they just don't compare to the picture quality of the vhs. I hate the jumpy zoom on many digitals too. You really can't do any kind of drama when it's jumping from on zoom to another. Thanks for remembering things of the past. Most people only live in the now.
RET80 the tube camera are the best in fidelity colors, for example i got a RCA TK41C first studio color camera that employs 3 image orthicons tubes, in the camera chain and more than 200 tubes,in CCU and camera chain, the picture is so clear, and the same RCA family i got the TK76 portable camera with 3 vidicons tubes are very good in definition the tube cams are amazing
Could you please tell me how you got it on your computer? I got an old VHS camcorder from my friend and I really want to use it and be able to edit my footage. I'm not sure what to use to get it on my pc
It's quite simple really. What you need is a converter. An A/V to USB converter box. It turns the yellow, red and white cables used in audio/video into the USB and imports onto a computer. Then you can use a simple program like Windows Movie Maker and just hit import!
What did you use to upload this footage to the PC?

Thank you very much.
Without the past, there is no present or future. That is what RET is all about.

i make good pictures in vhs, my camera are a DXCM3 Sony tree saticon tubes and i use a panasonic portable video recorder model PV6000

Ah Saticon tubes!
I remember those well and three no less to separate into different color fields.
I had an old Vidicon tube camera once. That was looong ago.
I like the tube cameras, they just seem natural, too bad they never improved the technology after the 80's.
If you ever watched the old BBC shows circa 1970-1980 they used similar technology. I mean it works totally fine.
If you want to watch a video of a camcorder that actually mimics the VHS format, check out my Polarvision video.

very pretty indeed. And more crisp than I would have imagined with an analog VHS.
