Yuki's known to do crazy, weird stuff in her videos (End of Shite) but you can't help but to fucking love her. Btws, love the John Homes or that crazy porno 70s guy playing through out the background. This is the sexiest example of women's lib in Japan yet.
i often really wonder how about the 'fate' of the other JAM members, ie: especially Takuya asanuma (the guitarist), then the bassist Yoshihito Onda, etc.. does anybody know any updated info about them, and if they're still in the music-world or have quitted completly ??
well, someone above did say that Takuya actually intended to form ROBOTS as "just for fun" , meaning just to satisfy his idealisms.. so perhaps that explains why it's so 'underestimated'.
but however, i do really curious, if they're making quite enough money, at least to sustain daily living needs? or with ROBOTS being 'underappreciated', means he needs another part-time job to cover it?
it's really hard to find info about him & his band on the Net, at least in english.
@Doyubi I agree. I've heard all the music of Robots I can find and it's absolutely stunning. He composed almost all of the Judy and Mary songs that are my favorite and I see the same kind of style in his solo music. He's an amazing artist. It hurts me that Robots wasn't more successful like it should be.

@nikiwonoto All the members have continued to make music but Yuki was the most successful after JAM. I'm sure you know about all her amazing work. Anyway Takuya went on to work with his solo band Robots, which he started even before JAM, and released quite a few albums. He's now a producer. Onda went on to play with his new band Hot Rod Crue. Kohta joined a band called Atomic Poodle. And then in 2009 he and Onda joined together again to play in a band called Zamza and are currently doing that.
YEAH! I know the CD version sounds "better" in the fact that its all nicely produced. But the recording quality on this version is way more paired down punk. Which is IMHO the way they sould have sounded in the first place! I LOVE this video.
Nope, Chara and YUKI were already famous before this. This was actually after YUKI broke up with JUDY AND MARY. They just made this band for fun but it's true that this is their first Mean Machine clip together (Chara and YUKI also did a single with each other before Mean Machine). But anyway, thanks for uploading! They took the rest of the Mean Machine clips off of here. ;-;

both chara and yuki were super popular when they did this band. they did it because they were popular already.

Takuya is still in ROBOTS, which is the most underestimated band in the world. No priate care to pirate ROBOTS.

beee, you were right. Judy & Mary broke up in march 2001. Mean Machine was made in 2001.
