The true core of the problem is todays ultra-feminist black grandmothers who rebelled and went from being strong black women who were the rock of their families to being loud and extremely proud strong totally independent gangsta b****es who have extremely warped concepts of strength and masculinity.
As is very concisely explained in the book called "The Black Girl Curse" no one had ever heard of strong totally independent black women before the advent of mass govt assistance in the mid70s.
you know what are destroying the black families? its irresponsible motherfuckers who just get high on weed, drink malt liquor, hang out with their "boys," fuck these stupid black bitches who are naive, uneducated, dont know about birth control and safe sex having kids irresponsibly and depending on the government (really the rest of us who pay taxes) to take care of them and cover their mistakes, the blame lies with absent fathers and mothers who should educate their young and never do! thats why!
Anyway, I hear what Jesusswoope is saying but my thing is why is he not talking about the fathers? Like I said these men beat their baby mama's, cheat, drink/hang out with friends and abuse their families in many different ways. A lot of these guys also don't have jobs, quit jobs, do whatever they can to avoid taking care of the children they create. So until men start attacking the men who don't support their families, i'm not even trying to hear any attacks on the programs.
I think social services are needed in some cases, But women have learned to live off of it from generation to generation. The qualifications should be for the extreme poor and a small helping hand to the working poor and for people between jobs. If most of these lazy women got together to grow their own food, make their own kids clothes, start their own businesses, create their own educations systems. since they believe that they are the backbone and have the financial advantage over black men.
@DiScUrNmEnT That is a great idea. Seriously, especially about the growing food part. I've wanted to learn to grow my own veggies but that's pretty difficult in a city apartment.
@ISayThisWithLuv Not really, it's not that hard we have set up community gardens here in ATL(Dunbar Center). Called weed/seed on land provided by the city. Mainly located near Seniors Housing. Theses gardens can be governed by your Civic Associations or Neighborhood Planning. But black ppl are not traditionally known to participate in their own community associations. These women can get together and buy a plot of land for about 7 grand and grow food. Yes, so can the men.
@DiScUrNmEnT I would have to look into something like that. I plan on moving from my hood soon. Maybe I will try to find a neighborhood that has a small plot of land neerby. Actually my mother lives in some housing projects and there's a garden with chickens and ducks not far from it. I think this might be on of those community gardens. I'll see the possibility of us creating more. I heard people can actually buy seeds for fruits and veggies on food stamps.
@happosai27 You are a hater! Section 8 and welfare is very good not only for the recipient but also for local businesses because on the 1st and 15th their sales go up therefore stimulating the economy. Do you know how expensive everything is today? Let the government foot the bill since they are the ones responsible for the inflation in the first place.
@MsKateRoberts lol im a hater?? xD ahh that made me laugh. you must be what americans euthemistically call "liberal" if you begin your argument with namecalling already. the goverment is responsible for people not getting a proper education and finding a job? do they still keep people away from schools a gunpoint?
@JESUSSWOOPE 'Because i care about bettering my black community that's why i made the video'
Don;t you know that it is not "your black community" because #1 Segregation is over and anyone can live anywhere if they choose to. #2 You can't control or make anyone do anything. #3 Black people will never get along with each other the way they use to in the past due to the "I am better than you" mentality that we have with each other.
Let the haters hate. Welfare, Food Stamps, and Section 8 is here to stay. In fact I just got a letter saying that My food stamps and SSI is going up because of the cost of living. So much for the big huge cut everyone was talking about.
@MsKateRoberts -This ignorant welfare mentality is destroying our black community you need to wake up and realize this 70% percent of black kids are born and raised without a father because these hoodrat type of women only care about getting welfare and section 8
I'm not saying we should get rid of section 8 but it needs to be reformed so that people can stop abusing the system there should be a 5 year limit to how long a person can live off section 8 and welfare
@JESUSSWOOPE How does me saving money and spending less affect a whole community? Things are way too expensive out here now a days and I refuse to go broke trying to keep up with inflation. If prices have to go up on things let the government handle it since they are the ones that truly have all the money. I;m not worried about other black people I only worry about myself. My kids are just fine they see their daddy whenever they want its up to them. Black kids mostly have bad dads!
@MsKateRoberts -So your saying you don't care about your black community you must be a self hating person who hates your own black race i feel sorry for you stop being selfish. You also should teach your kids the importance of being independent
@JESUSSWOOPE Who said that I hate myself? I love myself more than you know. Correction its not "my black community" because I don't own it nor does segregation exist anymore so the "black community" is an invalid terminology due to the fact that anyone can live anywhere in the United States. I teach my children to be independent but I also teach them to take advantage of free things such as food stamps, welfare, SSI, and section 8. Section 8 is the best thing created on earth.
@MsKateRoberts -You must really hate your own black race and you sound like you don't care about black people's future and you don't realize the bad influences your teaching your children to depend on the Government to survive this is a welfare mentality that's destroying the black community women like you have no respect for yourself all you care about is living off section 8 and welfare
@JESUSSWOOPE How do I hate my race? Explain please. I teach my children to be independent but if they need a little insurance to help them get by take advantage of it. When I was in college and dealing with alot of financial obligations government assistance came in handy. How do I determine an entire race's future? I can only focus on my own life and worry about my family and my man not Tom Dick and Harry.
teenage pregnancies is destroying the black families, especially considering that a majority of them are reliant upon section 8. it's a trickle effect that if you're born out of wedlock to a poor mother/parents & rely upon government assistance, more than likely the odds are stacked against you. Section 8 destroys the concept or structure of a family
@retiredstalker I could care less about "black families" I only care about my own because "black families" have nothing to do with me. I was born out of wedlock but I was never poor and I am doing just fine. Government assistance is a wonderful thing and I support it 100%. Section 8 does not destroy the concept or structure of a family because mine is just fine. It just reduces the amount of money I have to dish out a month.
@MsKateRoberts Girl if you are on section *, food stamps and all of these other social programs then you are absolutely positively and most definitely P O O R!!
And if you think that you are "doing just fine" ...then THAT is a huge part of the problem. And if you think that your family is "just fine" let you "TEACH" them to "take advantage" of these programs that are for POOR PEOPLE then you are teaching them to continue this cycle of poverty and to not ever amount to much in life.
@TheSweetSarahize "then you are teaching them to continue this cycle of poverty and to not ever amount to much in life."
You couldn't be further from the truth. Just because someone is on government assistance doesn't mean that they strve to stay on there because at the end of the day they don't give you a whole lot. It is only an aid/supplement. As far as poor goes that is not true. I OWN a business and have a degree as well as a nice place to live w/ my family!
@TheSweetSarahize I teach my children to strive for their education and be independent women. They will never be poor because I will always be there for them and if I can't be there for them then they will have a solid education and a good paying job. The back up plan to that is government assistance and the back up plan to that is White Husbands.
@MsKateRoberts You know ...I was in agreement with you until you said "white husband's" ...THAT is what has now thrown me off. Could you please explain what is so special about "white husbands". Before you do, just know that I know more than a few black women with white husbands and ...I'm just NOT impressed. An ex girlfriend had 3 sisters with white husbands and NONE of them were any good ...and they admitted it, her two sisters with black husband's were GREAT husbands ...and they admitted it.
@TheSweetSarahize Do you know how expensive the simple things are these days? I swear gas shot up $2.50 in 10 years. Milk was $2.00 cheaper just 6 years ago. MCDonald's now charges you 50 cents for extra BBQ sauce for your chicken Mc Nuggets (Which is why I now go to Wendy's their nuggets are better anyway). The average market rent for a 1 bedroom 20 years ago in the city went for $500 today they want and arm and a leg. Thank God 4 Section 8 let them pay all that.
@retiredstalker I have to disagree with you on that. A lot of men cheat, don't want to get jobs, have alcohol/drug problems/abusive and other problems that force the families to break up. In NY a lot of section 8 women are escaping demoestic violence. If it wasn't for sec8 these people women would be in homeless shelters for a long time. That is the exact prob we have in NY.
@JESUSSWOOPE You are definitely 100% correct in your assessments sir. Ms Kate Roberts is perpetuating a vicious negative cycle and a poverty mindset. She's not trying to hear ANYTHING you have to say. My kids would be very much ASHAMED to EVER even qualify for these social programs ...even at 18. She also says "black kids mostly have bad dads" ..without realizing that only BAD MOTHERS spread their legs and get pregnant by "BAD DADS".
This cycle will NEVER stop till these women finally GET IT!
@MsKateRoberts Let me give you some advice about men putting on a good act when they only want sex. "DON'T HAVE SEX!" Period! Make it a RULE and tell them from day one "If you're just being nice with the goal of getting laid then please don't waste your time or mine ...I am SAVING myself for MARRIAGE!" Trust me ...the one's who ONLY care about sex will leave you alone and any man who truly wants a WIFE will feel that he just hit the JACKPOT! I'm telling you this as a man who has slept with MANY!
@MsKateRoberts You must be planning on your kids being both POOR and unsuccessful in life. That is an absolute shame! You teach your kids to "take advantage" of social programs for the POOR. ...I teach my kids to aspire to control their own destiny's and to be independent OWNERS of businesses and corporations so that they will answer to NO man and control their own destiny ...even as I do.
Making welfare the family business and passing down a legacy of failure is a BIG part of the problem!
@TheSweetSarahize You said a mouth full. I'm proud to say that I wasn't born in some single mother, ghetto shit hole. Both of my parents were present and both work high paying jobs. My mother is a microbiologist and my father is a welder. Currently, I work and go to college. I have no criminal record, no children, no baby mommas and I intend to keep it that way. I am sick to death of welfare queens and illiterate wannabe gangsters who feed the diseased system!
@TheSweetSarahize That is where you are wrong. I teach my children to be independent and always strive to do better. However I teach them that if they can save money then do it. If that means getting food stamps and section 8 while you are in school why not? I mean they are getting financial aid and that is also from the governement. If it makes their lives a little easier then take advantage of it, times are hard.
@MsKateRoberts Listen ...I have NO problem with using food stamps, sec 8 or ANY other assistance available ...if you need it. That's what it's there for. Yes, if you're in school, have a baby or NEED it for ANY other reason I have NO problem with that. My only issue is with becoming complacent and content to STAY dependent rather than strive for independence. Far too many people have NO plan to EVER progress beyond these govt assistance programs and THAT is the problem.
@JESUSSWOOPE I'm proud of section 8 being the way it is. The only reason why 70% of black kids are raised without a father is because the father most likely isn't any good. Don't blame Section 8 because actually the father could be added to the section 8 lease. Also section 8 does not equal ghetto or projects. Its just a program where the government pays your rent 50-100% for you.
@MsKateRoberts It is not about the father not being any good as much as it is about these ignorant ghetto women being immoral whores who spread their legs to any low life broke thug who plays upon her insecurities and low self-esteem. In most cases there was never a genunine relationship and it was only sex! The men are not getting pregnant by the hood-rats they bang so they don't care ...but WHO is the fool here?
@MsKateRoberts LOL! Girl you kept it real in here! Just curious, what state you live in? I'm in NY and bloomberg (aka Jew Devil) killed off the section 8 program over here. It's crazy! NY needs section 8 the most (a 1 bedroom apt is 1200 and up in most parts, even thje really ghetto parts of the 5 boroughs). And for the record families aint all the sudden reform. The men still can't afford homes for the families they create, they don't even try.
What the government giveth, the government will surely taketh away if it benefits them. Considering the current economic situation and a possible economic collapse if the gov't continues with "business as usual", this may happen. In light of this, it's not wise to place your bets with a system run by crooks. When the shit hits the fan, you may find yourself living in a FEMA camp (if federal goons don't kill you outright). Hard times ahead.
sometimes it takes a looong time to actually make the cut about 2 years to actually qualify i know one black lady on section 8 with the chrones disease she weighs about 105 lbs and she is 5ft 11 she had a lot of surgeries and she has no teeth. i know afghan family who made the cut 2 miles from the beach in cali and both the father and the son leased the same cab and rotated day and night prob making gd money and the mom worked under the table cleaning offices.
@tickyul If Africa is the black mans country then that would be invalid because Africa is not a country it is a continent. And to be quite honest with you the countries in Africa are very pauper so I wouldn't brag about it if I were you.
People using section 8 get a dam fkn job all yu guys do is sit yur ass all day. And if its to expensive the place yu got and cant afford get a cheaper place. So yu get approved and live like a queen and king lazy mthfkrz ..single mom no walfare or nothing got my education and have a great job! Pay 1,000 CASH on my house just me and my baby !!
@eskandalosa20 Umm there is nothing wrong with section 8. Its not that we are lazy because I know that I am not. It is that the less income we have the less money we have to pay for rent on section 8. If we get a job and work crazy hours our rent will be sky high. If we work little to no hours then the rent will be lower, Its all based on income and that is how it works. I work and go to school and on section 8 living good. Market Rent is too expensive. A cheap place = Run Down!
@MsKateRoberts What are you going to do when the repukes come back into office, and the first thing they do to curt the national budget is to reformat or get rid of section 8 altogether because people like you are abusing it? You do know, nothing in this country is for free, you will pay for it in the end. Most of my friends are realizing that the government is setting up the system so all of the undesirables keep multiplying, that way they have a large number ready for the DRAFT!
@spirittammyk As far as I know the government is currently paying 98% of my rent and it feels good. You can huff and puff but you will not blow my section 8 down! It just makes you so mad that I only pay $20 a month for rent while you have to bust your ass at work dealing with annoying customers and a hard ass boss to pay thousands of dollars a month for rent while I sit back eat Cptain Crunch Cereal and watch BET videos, Days of Our lives, Maury, and Jerry all day long.
You can't blame the government or race. Stop with the blame game and start being smart about the cards you were dealt and make plans on how to succeed. You can live a good life if you are smart about it. The key is to use the government assistance as a tool of support not a primary source of income because that is a sure way to crash burn and stay in a cycle of Mediocraty and poverty. Get the government before they get you. Its not about being black or public schools. Its about being smart!
@MsKateRoberts -Your cute but the point i was making is that Section 8 is supposed to be temporarily its not suppose to be something you live off of for the rest of your life. There's nothing wrong with section 8 as long as your using it temporarily but to many people are abusing it.The reason why most black kids in section 8 housing are raised in a single parent house hold is because in most States you can't be married and live on Section 8 that's why most women are choosing to be single mothers
@JESUSSWOOPE Thank you for the compliment. No offense but you need to do a little bit more research because Section 8 does not equal projects or low income housing. There are two kinds of section 8. There is one where it comes with the Public Housing facility (which is the projects). Then you have detachable section 8. This is when you are approved for section 8 you have to live in the projects for at least a year then you get a voucher that can be used anywhere that accepts section 8.
@JESUSSWOOPE Now when you get the voucher you also have a secton 8 worker. As long as you are honest your section 8 worker is willing to work with you whether you are married or not. I'm married and I'm on section 8 living in a nice suburban condo. Certain properties require that you aren't married but its not section 8. It all depends on what property you apply for. There also is nothing wrong with living on sectin8 for the rest of your life either that is your choice Market rent is 2 expensive
There is nothing wrong with welfare and there is nothing wrong with living off of the government. Honey its because of the government why I have a nice place to live and food in my house while I save my heard earned money.
The Same Thing Your Saying (In The Title Of This Video) About Section 8,Can Also Be Applied To Your Religion!
And What Would Make U Think That The Family Wasnt Destroyed [LONG BEFORE] A Person Applies For Section 8?.i.e A Stable House Doesnt Apply 4 Section 8 Anyway.
Section 8 Is Assistance (Like Food) And If Someone Abuses It,Then Whos Fault Is It?
You Mentioned The Man Not Being Allowed 2 Be In The Home..Well,Why Should He Be Allowed In The Home,When The Government Is Taking Care Of His Kids?
When will we as a people wake up? We have voted for democrats for the last 80 years! What have they done to STOP this cycle of poverty? Public schools have REMOVED all mention of God, and replaced it with abortion on demand so the KILLING of black children is LEGAL!
Why do we keep voting for democrats when they have NOT rewarded our loyalty? When democrats FAIL to do what whites want, they vote for REPUBLICANS! We need to do what WHITES do so we can IMPROVE the black family.
@prophetbyronmotley Blacks aren;t the only ones having abortions so stop with all of that "KILLING of black children is LEGAL!" crap. It is up to the individual what they want to do with their own lives.
@MsKateRoberts You CANNOT be an ostrich and bury your head in the sand and PRETEND that THIS USA government has NOT set up these programs to place the BLACK into a position of PERMANENT underclass!
The public school system is a TRAIN WRECK...at best of union thuggery, theft, greed, self service, and outright deception....all in the name of keeping the union going, even if it means PASSING KIDS, even if they cannot even read their own name!
@prophetbyronmotley Let me tell you something. I began going to public school then my parents moved to the suburbs and put me and my siblings in private school. Even though I was in private schools I still did really well when I was in public school. It is up to you and only you if you succeed or not. Blaming a system or the government is a cop out. I don't care where I learn I will learn because I put in the effort to learn. It all starts at home. My parents had me doing algebra at age 4.
@prophetbyronmotley I was able to hold an adult conversation by age 6. All of that was because I wanted to learn and put in th effort. Now about The US government setting up prgrams such as section 8 to place blaks into a position of permanent underclass is incorrect. I have white friends on welfare and section 8 and drive BMW's and live in condos like I do. You see the thing is you have to learn how to use the government as a support tool not a primary source of income. That is the key!
Bleak section 8 housing IN THE GHETTO, where their is MORE poverty...abandoned buildings, drug dealers, prostitutes, bloods and crips, drunks, people whose minds have been RUINED by DECADES of living in the hood! the public schools DO NOT educate our children because ALL they care about are their UNION benefits!
Even when a FEW politicians come up with school vouchers that allow black kids to go to GOOD private schools, like in Washington, DC, a BLACK MAN named Barack Obama KILLS the program!
@prophetbyronmotley Actually section 8 has nothing to do with the ghetto. Educate yourself there is a thing called detachable section 8. Meaning you can live anywhere that accepts section 8. It does not have to be in the "ghetto". I have section 8 and i live in a condo in a nice suburban neighborhood.
Of COURSE section 8 have helped RUIN the lives of the black family....
Take the black boy, send him to PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN THE GHETTO through out his school years, let him be around those like him.... seeing DRUG DEALERS as the ones with money...being "raised" by the teen age mom on welfare and food stamps because she do NOT have a job... seeing strange men come into and LEAVE the black mom AFTER she is pregnant....all the while growing up in the BLEAK surroundings of section 8 housing. continued
@prophetbyronmotley That is not true. Not all public schools are like that. i have friends who went to public schools and were valedictorians. One thing I learned in life is that no one can hold you back or keep you from succeeding but yourself. Blaming your surroundings is a cop out. I went to private school and grew up in the suburbs and I got my degree from college and it was because of myself not my surroundings. I now own my own business and I'm on section 8. Section8 doesn't =Ghetto
@MsKateRoberts You Told Me "There is nothing wrong with section 8. It feels good to have the government pay my rent for this nice condo I live in."
YEY THATS GREAT...MAYBE THAT SHOULD BE TAUGHT IN SCHOOL SO ALL THE KIDS CAN STRIVE 4 SECTION 8 HOUSING!!!
But I Got A Question 4 You...HOW MANY OTHER ACCOUNTS DO YOU HAVE PRETENDING TO BE A BLACK PERSON?..BECAUSE NOT EVEN THE DUMBEST NIGGA ON EARTH WOULD SAY WHAT YOU JUST SAID.OR ARE YOU THE DUMBEST NIGGA FROM ANOTHER PLANET NOW LIVING ON EARTH?
@MrHead1972 Have you ever heard of detachable section 8? Yes that is when you have a voucher and you can live anywhere in the world that accepts section 8. So yes I live on section 8 in the suburbs in a condo. Just because someone has section 8 does not mean they have to live in low income housing permanently. You ony have to start off there and stay for a year after that the section 8 detaches and you get a voucher. It is the government paying 50-100% of your rent. I think that is a good deal.
@MrHead1972 I do not need to pretend to be black because I am black. I just know how to use the government to my advantage. You see that is exactly how white people do it. I learned from my white friend Michelle. She taught me everything I know. I was able to go to private school graduate with highest honors, go to college make the Deans list, get a degree and live a good life with a good paying job all the while living on section 8. I refuse to pay $2,000 a month for rent.
@MrHead1972 'You Told Me "There is nothing wrong with section 8.'
That's right I did say that and I still mean it. There is nothing wrong with section 8. When market rent averages $2,000 a month for rent for a one bedroom, I'll be paying $0-$80 a month for rent in a nice "white neighborhood" in a condo. I'm telling you guys I am black but I have learned all of this from a white person. This is how they are doing it. You can live a good life for cheap if you play your cards right!
@ArchNME Boston is high rent, Los Angeles is high rent, Philadelphia is high rent, Chicago is high rent, and Seattle is high rent not just Manhattan. I did the research which is why I fought long and hard and finally got section 8 so all of that high rent will be on the government to pay.
@MsKateRoberts No, the market rent in none of those place is close to $2000 a monthfor a one bedroom. I looked on the HUD website.
Boston = $1,166
Philly = $899
Chicago = $853
Seatle = $912
Even NYC is actually only $1,280. Also, people like you who have the gov paying for a good portion of their rent are part of the problem driving everyone else's rent up. You fought for what? To stay broke long enough that your name would reach the top of the list?
@ArchNME All of those prices you just listed are for places that are run down and all ghetto. I'd rather stay in my nice condo for $20 a month. $20 still beats out any of those prices you listed especially living a suburban rich white neighborhood that I live in right now next to nothing is a blessing.
Finally! Someone said it! You are absolutely right! If we had more people like you preaching the truth than maybe people would listen. As a white person I tend to just be brushed off or seen as being a racist so I hope people would listen to you. It's good to hear someone finally be able to criticize themselves. It's a skill that is in DIRE need these days!
yes you telling the statistics and NUMBERS NEVER LIE.
and you what took place in the 60s dont you? yes the civil right just like i said if you give all black people to much freedom they cant take it and acting foolish .
like i said ''some'' at least i guess about 30% of black people are normal social and succesfull but most of yours dont get it if no one kicks your lazy asses!
preach on. i blame the govt for the rise of poverty. in the past families lived on farms with 13 kids but they never needed a handout. they made a way out of no way with no help.
This is the problem-Silly black ghetto girls.Stop having babies and when you have 1and too many you are no longer marketable for a decent guy when he comes along. By that time you are out of shape, not home motivated and still not ready to get married. Real men men what someone close to being pure. Thugs what someone they can use and abuse. Sad!
We do need help in our community. However many children don't have anyone to mold and guide them into productive citizens. I try to accept my friends for who they are but I get disgusted when they pull up next to me in a lexus but can't maintain their light bill. We have got to do better as a community. And if you see someone doing this triflin crap say something. I refuse to talk behind their backs at least your friends will know that is is not productive and possibly work on changing it.
My ex best friend lost a good man over section 8. He was a cop and stayed with her 12 years. He bought a house and she wanted him to commit fraud and live with him as a section 8 tenant her own child's father. He told her no get off the section 8 it was not necessary to have it she told him no and called off her engagement. This man his been with here for 12 yrs she said she has had her section 8 for 22 yrs why lose it . I am shocked I didn't believe that was possible.
I agree I am a divorced mom never took a handout. Currently in the military and attending law school. Everyone puts black woman on focus but I also hold a real estate license for my state allot of Jews and Russian have the program but it is not publicized. And these sry men that live with these woman on Section 8 are no better they should be ostracized for condoning the garbage.
When you say, these young girls don't need a man because the system has replaced him, you downsize the role of the man. If all he is, is a paycheck then yes he is easily replaceable. As I said to LoveAboveHate, where is your investigation into the sociological relationships in the community. Where is your research on domestic violence, drug abuse and the effects of the industrial prison complex. Criticize the females for living off the system, but ignore the boys for their hustle?
Section 8 does not allow you to own your home. This is the only thing that i dislike about it. I believe that they need to change somethings about section 8 to where you have to buy the home instead of the landlord, who is making the money off the house, not the person living in it. Section 8 is only good for the landlord.
Its always the fault of something or someone else. But when will people take responsibilty for your situation. I have seen so much attachment to the race the card, and am tired of it. You want to stand up and make your lives better then get of the self pity and blame game and make a better life for yourself. Being black is not an excuse for lack of morality... I hope you make a difference through example and not just words. Good luck...
Section 8 must be done away with!! Black families have killed our good white neighborhoods. Dig deep people. You will see nice neighborhoods destroyed by these section 8 fucks!
@heatherandpaul2 when i lived in nashville, they were going to make section 8 houses in this suburban neighborhood,on this property that had alot of land, but the residents were well off and they stopped that real qiuck, they were like not in my backyard your not,and i agree it makes property value go down.
The government, especially liberal democrats, are trying to keep y'all down. They run on issues disguised as civil rights and fairness, but in reality all they are doing is keeping y'all dependent on the state and federal governments. You are exactly right that y'all need to be more independant. And we both know mthat it's not just black families, but just a higher percentage. Keep up the good work and don't let anyone try to tell you that you are doing wrong, because you are doing what's right.
This Government in this economy is busted and it won't be too much longer before these government programs go belly up, and don't worry blacks will be self reliant or starve to death
welfare destroys black people. they feel entitled to to these benefits because the government owes them reparations and society and the white man is holding them down so they justify it. i will gladly continue to pay taxes to watch black people destroy themselves
in response to florida raider you are a bitch as hunkee just like this nigga talking.section 8 houseing are basically supporting more whites then blacks. this nigga just like you are talking about blacks because your weak. he couldnt get a blackwomen and you couldnt get a white women! if that aint so then why are you guys downing black women.how could you make a video dissing women after all theses hunkess but them threw. aint nobody but a hunkee or a antisocialy blackwomen gonna follow you.
Section 8 is hurting America, not just the blacks but whites as well. Section 8 fosters a cycle of dependency. Section 8 should be restricted to the elderly and the disabled.
Everyone is against section 8 and other things until they need it. Back when the depression hit america so many people would say people are lazy getting things for free. Thats until they found themselves need it. Also thats just a talking made by racist who dont like the idea of black people receive TEMPORARY aid.
I hear you my brother. But it's bigger then that. Think about what has happened to us from the time crack was dropped in our community. Add that to a alrdy fked up educational system. Racism and lack of jobs leads to high incarceration rates and lets not talk about the violence. O and let's not bring up mental illness. Our people need whatever help we can get. Now our own land things would be different. But don't beat us down for not being able to live in his.
I am on section 8.I currently am disabled.I worked paying taxes since 13 yrs old ss verified.I waited on the list for 11yrs. I paid rents where I had to work 2 jobs,go to school and raised 4 children, and yes was married and he also worked 2 jobs.Rents in a semi-decent area was and still are high. The program is not just for Welfare, seniors or low-income in my state at least. It's a rental program that help you pay rent that is more than 30% of your annual fiances.3 bdrms are 1200-4500 in my city
@2tasty4u6 -Thanks for commenting i appreciate your feedback but i wasn't talking about every person on section 8 i was talking about some of these younger women who don't even try to work that just have baby after baby with 4 and 5 different men and just live off the system.I wasn't talking about people who are disabled and i have the deepest respect for you as a mother who worked 2 jobs and raised 4 children.
@JESUSSWOOPE I think one of the best things you do here is you say this without hate. When I hear a lot of people like me (oldr and white) say it I hear hatred. What you say is so valid. Good luck and keep speaking up.
@JESUSSWOOPE hey ur right but its the system (government) which has designed it this way for a purpose the system is set up this way - think about it the government give extra money directly to these blacks who abuse it instead of investin money into the black schools or social programs that will help the black community but believe all this is just another tactic used by the government to fuck up the black community - but yes u have done well by idtifyin 1 problem but we need to correct it
Section 8 housing is a corrupt system that needs to end. It benefits morons and trash both black and white. There are losers of all races that should be made to pay back the taxpayers.
Truth and honesty! A message that needs to get out there. Thank you.
A couple things, the music's too loud, it's not family's it's families ('s is a contraction for 'is') lastly it's 'government RUN' not ran (ran is past tense).
Whats funny about all you black people complaining about section 8 and other government programs, is you vote Democrat. WHO DO YOU THINK SUPPORTS THESE PROGRAMS? the democrats want us to remain exactly where we are in this society,DEPENDANT.Democrats do nothing but pacify black people. it makes me sick to see us blindly support them. for example Barack Obama supports partial birth abortion, yet thousands of so-called black christians voted for him,WTF? do you know what happens in a PBA?
no where in thew history of time have black children been born out of a married house hold ... at the the height it was in the 1930's an fell in the 1940's ... govt asst. ... look world wide their no where in the world where black men marry an take care of women ... these type of people were their same ones who sold their own to the white man an still sell blacvk slaves to one another in 2011 please look up geniosuide an hiv in africa figure it out yourself
You are totally right. I am going through trying to be with a harlot of a wife, who has well fare, section 8 and is trying to get child support out of me from a separation. Every time I talk to her I just hear I, I , I yet nothing she has was gained by her self only. She does not even care that our kids will have to grow without me and her mother was the same way. Willy Lynch shit!
I disagree PLEASE read up on Walfare & Cal-work its NOT the same as use to be back in the 70s & 80s as on 1990 Cliton put a stop to the things ur saying in this video. u can be married on section8 u dont have to be a single parent any more i witness first had there where more men & randmothers in my section 8 meeting then young women but with a low income houshold.just read up on it u will be supprise, But i do agree that some people do scam the system but they always eventualy get caught!!
I would also like to add that section 8 go by income in California and the Participant families include seniors, persons with disabilities, families with young children, and working families who do not earn enough to keep pace with rising rental housing costs.which is under 30k...Sex, greed and money is destroying all people blacks are just singled out and focused on the most..we cant blame anyone but ourselves we are our own enemy's we need to fix ourselves
@tweetie35 -Thanks for commenting i really appreciate your feedback section 8 is supposed to be a temperately thing but a lot of people abuse it by leaving off the system for years and years not working and having baby after baby out of wedlock. This cycle is destroying our black families 70% of black kids are now born out of wedlock and most of them are single mother house holds because in most states to get on section 8 you have to be a single mother this cycle of ignorance needs to stop.
Ok i live in california and there is no welfare we have what they call Cal-work this program is still help but different from walfare..if you are a healthy single parent u are required to get a job, they put u through a work program find u a job & they add the coast of living to ur pay check 32h single & 35h 2parent if u quiet this job or get fired they cut u off & make u start over.the only people who get welfare are people who come here from other countrys who have kids.
Yes you have a point with hand outs killing families. They are also doing damage to white families. And as we see, Asians have the highest per capita income today because of their strong family values. The real danger of section 8 is that if allows landlords to keep prices high during economic down times, when poor people need lower prices to stimulate economic activity. As prices stay high for no reason, we all face massive stagnation and endless depression.
Section 8 was created because there was a need for it. Just because a woman gets sec 8 does not mean she does not need a man. Most women would prefer a man to do his part in providing as a man and a father. When section 8 was created it was not intended to seperate families. Women should choose better men and men should se condoms. Men should also stay out of jail and take care of their children.
#2 the black power movement told the youth DONT go to school, DONT embrace education. They said ONLY read my books&ONLY do as i say.Their theory of if blacks just thumped their chest as hard as the can in cultural warriorism maybe that will make your life better? which just isnt true, blacks can stand united but that'll have little or nothing to do with individuals success. Until the black community moves past black power into just self empowerment the blacks who subscribe 2 that theory will fail
Black people weren't more united... being united has NOTHING to do with one's personal success. American white culture is 1 of the most individualistic cultures their is, unity is even strived 4 by white americans&their doin pretty damn good. Black power has been the down of black people, black people fought hard 4 education&embraced as their way out. 10 short years after the civil rights groups got the right 2 get into any school, the black power movement flushed ALL their work down the tiolet
Don't blame section 8 for black peoples faults. Section 8 was created for people who really need it not people who just want to take advantage of the system and don't want to work and make babies just to get on it now that is truly a disgrace to humanity. Its not section 8 fault that these people already have lowered expectations and don't to do no better and make excuses for their own faults and falilures. They need to stop making it easily accessible to single mothers who are irresponsible.
I agree, they should also make people who are on section go to school and get there education, and make them attend work shops so when the section 8 program crashes they will be able to stand on there own 2 feet.
@angiebigbutt -I think your right people on section 8 should go to school and get there education so there not living off the system there hole life section 8 parents need to learn to be more independent i was born in raised in the ghetto but i still graduated from college i now own my own home and i run my own successful business.
@boojha525 -Thank you so much for your responds your a beautiful good independent woman i think the only way to better our black families is to be more independent and stop living off the system.
God bless you JESUSSWOOPE for having the courage to speak the truth about what is perhaps the biggest cause of of problems for blacks in America. Society needs more black men like you.
Section 8 is a program designed to keep black family's broken up and separated keeping minorities mentally inslaved by the system. We need to better our community by being more self independent.
Great vid, but the music is distracting. I agree with you about the destructive nature of section 8, but it's not the Government's fault! I live near a few properties that allow section 8, and all I see is a generational poverty. They get preg., and quickly assume the posiiton. The gov needs to put time limits on all welfare. If you're not disabled, or elderly, you should be kicked off after a period of time. You rock!
@Nenendude -I completely agree with you there should be time limits on welfare and section 8 there's some people that just live off the system their hole life and don't even try to do better for thier self. That's why i think section 8 needs to be reformed.
It is a slave paradigm system design to never allow black people every to rise. If as black people we implement are own self determination self reliance and self consciousness. Our production would go to our survival present and in the future. It wouldn't go to whites or western civilization. The resources of black people from our land minds natural and physical has gone to support western civilization for the past 600yrs. They don't want that to stop.
This subject is very vital. This is but another program willed at the community for the sake of destroying our incentive to produce properly for the future.
Having been on sec 8 I can say it's hard. They make you jump through hoops and want to know ALL you info just to get assistance. The Housing Authority makes you want to shoot them most of the time with there snotty attitudes. But on the flip side sec 8 is that last place I'd want to stay. I believe we can do better as black people, it's just the question of do we really want too.
Peace 4 ever & always, TEACH...I do NOT debate REAL TRUTH. I have relatives that have fallen victim 2 this handout that chances are designed just 4 this kind of effect, RespectU

The true core of the problem is todays ultra-feminist black grandmothers who rebelled and went from being strong black women who were the rock of their families to being loud and extremely proud strong totally independent gangsta b****es who have extremely warped concepts of strength and masculinity.
As is very concisely explained in the book called "The Black Girl Curse" no one had ever heard of strong totally independent black women before the advent of mass govt assistance in the mid70s.

you know what are destroying the black families? its irresponsible motherfuckers who just get high on weed, drink malt liquor, hang out with their "boys," fuck these stupid black bitches who are naive, uneducated, dont know about birth control and safe sex having kids irresponsibly and depending on the government (really the rest of us who pay taxes) to take care of them and cover their mistakes, the blame lies with absent fathers and mothers who should educate their young and never do! thats why!
prguy787 1 month ago

DiScUrNmEnT 1 month ago
@DiScUrNmEnT That is a great idea. Seriously, especially about the growing food part. I've wanted to learn to grow my own veggies but that's pretty difficult in a city apartment.
ISayThisWithLuv 1 month ago
@ISayThisWithLuv Not really, it's not that hard we have set up community gardens here in ATL(Dunbar Center). Called weed/seed on land provided by the city. Mainly located near Seniors Housing. Theses gardens can be governed by your Civic Associations or Neighborhood Planning. But black ppl are not traditionally known to participate in their own community associations. These women can get together and buy a plot of land for about 7 grand and grow food. Yes, so can the men.
DiScUrNmEnT 1 month ago
@DiScUrNmEnT I would have to look into something like that. I plan on moving from my hood soon. Maybe I will try to find a neighborhood that has a small plot of land neerby. Actually my mother lives in some housing projects and there's a garden with chickens and ducks not far from it. I think this might be on of those community gardens. I'll see the possibility of us creating more. I heard people can actually buy seeds for fruits and veggies on food stamps.

you hit the nail on the head perfectly. well done
welfare like its now is designed to destroy the family unit because women can just marry the state so to say.
all the ignorant comments on here just show how far the lazy welfare mentality is engrained in peoples heads already
also the music is not nessesary and just make it harder to listen to the message

MsKateRoberts 2 months ago
Let the haters hate. Welfare, Food Stamps, and Section 8 is here to stay. In fact I just got a letter saying that My food stamps and SSI is going up because of the cost of living. So much for the big huge cut everyone was talking about.
MsKateRoberts 2 months ago
@MsKateRoberts -This ignorant welfare mentality is destroying our black community you need to wake up and realize this 70% percent of black kids are born and raised without a father because these hoodrat type of women only care about getting welfare and section 8
I'm not saying we should get rid of section 8 but it needs to be reformed so that people can stop abusing the system there should be a 5 year limit to how long a person can live off section 8 and welfare
JESUSSWOOPE 2 months ago
@JESUSSWOOPE How does me saving money and spending less affect a whole community? Things are way too expensive out here now a days and I refuse to go broke trying to keep up with inflation. If prices have to go up on things let the government handle it since they are the ones that truly have all the money. I;m not worried about other black people I only worry about myself. My kids are just fine they see their daddy whenever they want its up to them. Black kids mostly have bad dads!
MsKateRoberts 2 months ago
@MsKateRoberts -So your saying you don't care about your black community you must be a self hating person who hates your own black race i feel sorry for you stop being selfish. You also should teach your kids the importance of being independent
JESUSSWOOPE 2 months ago
@JESUSSWOOPE Who said that I hate myself? I love myself more than you know. Correction its not "my black community" because I don't own it nor does segregation exist anymore so the "black community" is an invalid terminology due to the fact that anyone can live anywhere in the United States. I teach my children to be independent but I also teach them to take advantage of free things such as food stamps, welfare, SSI, and section 8. Section 8 is the best thing created on earth.
MsKateRoberts 1 month ago
@MsKateRoberts -You must really hate your own black race and you sound like you don't care about black people's future and you don't realize the bad influences your teaching your children to depend on the Government to survive this is a welfare mentality that's destroying the black community women like you have no respect for yourself all you care about is living off section 8 and welfare
JESUSSWOOPE 1 month ago
@JESUSSWOOPE How do I hate my race? Explain please. I teach my children to be independent but if they need a little insurance to help them get by take advantage of it. When I was in college and dealing with alot of financial obligations government assistance came in handy. How do I determine an entire race's future? I can only focus on my own life and worry about my family and my man not Tom Dick and Harry.
MsKateRoberts 1 month ago
@MsKateRoberts
teenage pregnancies is destroying the black families, especially considering that a majority of them are reliant upon section 8. it's a trickle effect that if you're born out of wedlock to a poor mother/parents & rely upon government assistance, more than likely the odds are stacked against you. Section 8 destroys the concept or structure of a family
retiredstalker 1 month ago
@retiredstalker I could care less about "black families" I only care about my own because "black families" have nothing to do with me. I was born out of wedlock but I was never poor and I am doing just fine. Government assistance is a wonderful thing and I support it 100%. Section 8 does not destroy the concept or structure of a family because mine is just fine. It just reduces the amount of money I have to dish out a month.
MsKateRoberts 1 month ago
@MsKateRoberts Girl if you are on section *, food stamps and all of these other social programs then you are absolutely positively and most definitely P O O R!!
And if you think that you are "doing just fine" ...then THAT is a huge part of the problem. And if you think that your family is "just fine" let you "TEACH" them to "take advantage" of these programs that are for POOR PEOPLE then you are teaching them to continue this cycle of poverty and to not ever amount to much in life.
TheSweetSarahize 1 month ago
@TheSweetSarahize "then you are teaching them to continue this cycle of poverty and to not ever amount to much in life."
You couldn't be further from the truth. Just because someone is on government assistance doesn't mean that they strve to stay on there because at the end of the day they don't give you a whole lot. It is only an aid/supplement. As far as poor goes that is not true. I OWN a business and have a degree as well as a nice place to live w/ my family!
MsKateRoberts 3 days ago
@TheSweetSarahize I teach my children to strive for their education and be independent women. They will never be poor because I will always be there for them and if I can't be there for them then they will have a solid education and a good paying job. The back up plan to that is government assistance and the back up plan to that is White Husbands.
MsKateRoberts 3 days ago
@MsKateRoberts You know ...I was in agreement with you until you said "white husband's" ...THAT is what has now thrown me off. Could you please explain what is so special about "white husbands". Before you do, just know that I know more than a few black women with white husbands and ...I'm just NOT impressed. An ex girlfriend had 3 sisters with white husbands and NONE of them were any good ...and they admitted it, her two sisters with black husband's were GREAT husbands ...and they admitted it.
TheSweetSarahize 3 days ago
@TheSweetSarahize Do you know how expensive the simple things are these days? I swear gas shot up $2.50 in 10 years. Milk was $2.00 cheaper just 6 years ago. MCDonald's now charges you 50 cents for extra BBQ sauce for your chicken Mc Nuggets (Which is why I now go to Wendy's their nuggets are better anyway). The average market rent for a 1 bedroom 20 years ago in the city went for $500 today they want and arm and a leg. Thank God 4 Section 8 let them pay all that.
MsKateRoberts 3 days ago
@retiredstalker I have to disagree with you on that. A lot of men cheat, don't want to get jobs, have alcohol/drug problems/abusive and other problems that force the families to break up. In NY a lot of section 8 women are escaping demoestic violence. If it wasn't for sec8 these people women would be in homeless shelters for a long time. That is the exact prob we have in NY.
ISayThisWithLuv 1 month ago
@JESUSSWOOPE You are definitely 100% correct in your assessments sir. Ms Kate Roberts is perpetuating a vicious negative cycle and a poverty mindset. She's not trying to hear ANYTHING you have to say. My kids would be very much ASHAMED to EVER even qualify for these social programs ...even at 18. She also says "black kids mostly have bad dads" ..without realizing that only BAD MOTHERS spread their legs and get pregnant by "BAD DADS".
This cycle will NEVER stop till these women finally GET IT!
TheSweetSarahize 1 month ago
@TheSweetSarahize But you know what these black men put on very good acts because they pretend to be loving boyfriends when all they want is sex.
MsKateRoberts 3 days ago
@MsKateRoberts Let me give you some advice about men putting on a good act when they only want sex. "DON'T HAVE SEX!" Period! Make it a RULE and tell them from day one "If you're just being nice with the goal of getting laid then please don't waste your time or mine ...I am SAVING myself for MARRIAGE!" Trust me ...the one's who ONLY care about sex will leave you alone and any man who truly wants a WIFE will feel that he just hit the JACKPOT! I'm telling you this as a man who has slept with MANY!
TheSweetSarahize 3 days ago
@MsKateRoberts You must be planning on your kids being both POOR and unsuccessful in life. That is an absolute shame! You teach your kids to "take advantage" of social programs for the POOR. ...I teach my kids to aspire to control their own destiny's and to be independent OWNERS of businesses and corporations so that they will answer to NO man and control their own destiny ...even as I do.
Making welfare the family business and passing down a legacy of failure is a BIG part of the problem!
TheSweetSarahize 1 month ago
@TheSweetSarahize You said a mouth full. I'm proud to say that I wasn't born in some single mother, ghetto shit hole. Both of my parents were present and both work high paying jobs. My mother is a microbiologist and my father is a welder. Currently, I work and go to college. I have no criminal record, no children, no baby mommas and I intend to keep it that way. I am sick to death of welfare queens and illiterate wannabe gangsters who feed the diseased system!
Zuberi4 1 month ago
@TheSweetSarahize That is where you are wrong. I teach my children to be independent and always strive to do better. However I teach them that if they can save money then do it. If that means getting food stamps and section 8 while you are in school why not? I mean they are getting financial aid and that is also from the governement. If it makes their lives a little easier then take advantage of it, times are hard.
MsKateRoberts 3 days ago
@MsKateRoberts Listen ...I have NO problem with using food stamps, sec 8 or ANY other assistance available ...if you need it. That's what it's there for. Yes, if you're in school, have a baby or NEED it for ANY other reason I have NO problem with that. My only issue is with becoming complacent and content to STAY dependent rather than strive for independence. Far too many people have NO plan to EVER progress beyond these govt assistance programs and THAT is the problem.
TheSweetSarahize 3 days ago
@JESUSSWOOPE I'm proud of section 8 being the way it is. The only reason why 70% of black kids are raised without a father is because the father most likely isn't any good. Don't blame Section 8 because actually the father could be added to the section 8 lease. Also section 8 does not equal ghetto or projects. Its just a program where the government pays your rent 50-100% for you.
MsKateRoberts 1 month ago
@MsKateRoberts It is not about the father not being any good as much as it is about these ignorant ghetto women being immoral whores who spread their legs to any low life broke thug who plays upon her insecurities and low self-esteem. In most cases there was never a genunine relationship and it was only sex! The men are not getting pregnant by the hood-rats they bang so they don't care ...but WHO is the fool here?
TheSweetSarahize 2 weeks ago

Hard times ahead.

eskandalosa20 3 months ago
@eskandalosa20 Umm there is nothing wrong with section 8. Its not that we are lazy because I know that I am not. It is that the less income we have the less money we have to pay for rent on section 8. If we get a job and work crazy hours our rent will be sky high. If we work little to no hours then the rent will be lower, Its all based on income and that is how it works. I work and go to school and on section 8 living good. Market Rent is too expensive. A cheap place = Run Down!
MsKateRoberts 3 months ago
@MsKateRoberts What are you going to do when the repukes come back into office, and the first thing they do to curt the national budget is to reformat or get rid of section 8 altogether because people like you are abusing it? You do know, nothing in this country is for free, you will pay for it in the end. Most of my friends are realizing that the government is setting up the system so all of the undesirables keep multiplying, that way they have a large number ready for the DRAFT!
spirittammyk 2 months ago
@spirittammyk As far as I know the government is currently paying 98% of my rent and it feels good. You can huff and puff but you will not blow my section 8 down! It just makes you so mad that I only pay $20 a month for rent while you have to bust your ass at work dealing with annoying customers and a hard ass boss to pay thousands of dollars a month for rent while I sit back eat Cptain Crunch Cereal and watch BET videos, Days of Our lives, Maury, and Jerry all day long.
MsKateRoberts 2 months ago
You can't blame the government or race. Stop with the blame game and start being smart about the cards you were dealt and make plans on how to succeed. You can live a good life if you are smart about it. The key is to use the government assistance as a tool of support not a primary source of income because that is a sure way to crash burn and stay in a cycle of Mediocraty and poverty. Get the government before they get you. Its not about being black or public schools. Its about being smart!
MsKateRoberts 3 months ago
@MsKateRoberts -Your cute but the point i was making is that Section 8 is supposed to be temporarily its not suppose to be something you live off of for the rest of your life. There's nothing wrong with section 8 as long as your using it temporarily but to many people are abusing it.The reason why most black kids in section 8 housing are raised in a single parent house hold is because in most States you can't be married and live on Section 8 that's why most women are choosing to be single mothers
JESUSSWOOPE 3 months ago

MrHead1972 3 months ago
@MrHead1972 There is nothing wrong with section 8. It feels good to have the government pay my rent for this nice condo I live in.

We need to do what WHITES do so we can IMPROVE the black family.
prophetbyronmotley 3 months ago
@prophetbyronmotley Blacks aren;t the only ones having abortions so stop with all of that "KILLING of black children is LEGAL!" crap. It is up to the individual what they want to do with their own lives.
MsKateRoberts 3 months ago
@MsKateRoberts You CANNOT be an ostrich and bury your head in the sand and PRETEND that THIS USA government has NOT set up these programs to place the BLACK into a position of PERMANENT underclass!
The public school system is a TRAIN WRECK...at best of union thuggery, theft, greed, self service, and outright deception....all in the name of keeping the union going, even if it means PASSING KIDS, even if they cannot even read their own name!
prophetbyronmotley 3 months ago
@prophetbyronmotley Let me tell you something. I began going to public school then my parents moved to the suburbs and put me and my siblings in private school. Even though I was in private schools I still did really well when I was in public school. It is up to you and only you if you succeed or not. Blaming a system or the government is a cop out. I don't care where I learn I will learn because I put in the effort to learn. It all starts at home. My parents had me doing algebra at age 4.
MsKateRoberts 3 months ago

Even when a FEW politicians come up with school vouchers that allow black kids to go to GOOD private schools, like in Washington, DC, a BLACK MAN named Barack Obama KILLS the program!
prophetbyronmotley 3 months ago
@prophetbyronmotley Actually section 8 has nothing to do with the ghetto. Educate yourself there is a thing called detachable section 8. Meaning you can live anywhere that accepts section 8. It does not have to be in the "ghetto". I have section 8 and i live in a condo in a nice suburban neighborhood.
MsKateRoberts 3 months ago
Of COURSE section 8 have helped RUIN the lives of the black family....
Take the black boy, send him to PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN THE GHETTO through out his school years, let him be around those like him.... seeing DRUG DEALERS as the ones with money...being "raised" by the teen age mom on welfare and food stamps because she do NOT have a job... seeing strange men come into and LEAVE the black mom AFTER she is pregnant....all the while growing up in the BLEAK surroundings of section 8 housing. continued
prophetbyronmotley 3 months ago
@prophetbyronmotley That is not true. Not all public schools are like that. i have friends who went to public schools and were valedictorians. One thing I learned in life is that no one can hold you back or keep you from succeeding but yourself. Blaming your surroundings is a cop out. I went to private school and grew up in the suburbs and I got my degree from college and it was because of myself not my surroundings. I now own my own business and I'm on section 8. Section8 doesn't =Ghetto
MsKateRoberts 3 months ago
MrHead1972 3 months ago
@MrHead1972 Have you ever heard of detachable section 8? Yes that is when you have a voucher and you can live anywhere in the world that accepts section 8. So yes I live on section 8 in the suburbs in a condo. Just because someone has section 8 does not mean they have to live in low income housing permanently. You ony have to start off there and stay for a year after that the section 8 detaches and you get a voucher. It is the government paying 50-100% of your rent. I think that is a good deal.
MsKateRoberts 3 months ago
@MrHead1972 I do not need to pretend to be black because I am black. I just know how to use the government to my advantage. You see that is exactly how white people do it. I learned from my white friend Michelle. She taught me everything I know. I was able to go to private school graduate with highest honors, go to college make the Deans list, get a degree and live a good life with a good paying job all the while living on section 8. I refuse to pay $2,000 a month for rent.
MsKateRoberts 3 months ago
@MrHead1972 I live on section 8 and my family is doing just fine!
MsKateRoberts 3 months ago
@MrHead1972 'You Told Me "There is nothing wrong with section 8.'
That's right I did say that and I still mean it. There is nothing wrong with section 8. When market rent averages $2,000 a month for rent for a one bedroom, I'll be paying $0-$80 a month for rent in a nice "white neighborhood" in a condo. I'm telling you guys I am black but I have learned all of this from a white person. This is how they are doing it. You can live a good life for cheap if you play your cards right!
MsKateRoberts 3 months ago
@MsKateRoberts Where do you live that market rents are that high? Manhattan? That's the only place in the country where that could possibly be true.
ArchNME 2 months ago
@ArchNME Boston is high rent, Los Angeles is high rent, Philadelphia is high rent, Chicago is high rent, and Seattle is high rent not just Manhattan. I did the research which is why I fought long and hard and finally got section 8 so all of that high rent will be on the government to pay.
MsKateRoberts 2 months ago
@MsKateRoberts No, the market rent in none of those place is close to $2000 a monthfor a one bedroom. I looked on the HUD website.
Boston = $1,166
Philly = $899
Chicago = $853
Seatle = $912
Even NYC is actually only $1,280. Also, people like you who have the gov paying for a good portion of their rent are part of the problem driving everyone else's rent up. You fought for what? To stay broke long enough that your name would reach the top of the list?
ArchNME 2 months ago
@ArchNME All of those prices you just listed are for places that are run down and all ghetto. I'd rather stay in my nice condo for $20 a month. $20 still beats out any of those prices you listed especially living a suburban rich white neighborhood that I live in right now next to nothing is a blessing.
