Simply put, It's shown in two perspectives. The one who's "dragging" their shadow. And The Man whos "going to the wild sea" is the tortured soul. Then as the cruel person, it says "sometimes head against the wall". When the tortured finally leaves he says "find another horse to break" But once you find the how its sad because the calm sea is heaven and the slow parade is a funeral. I may see it like that because thats how my friend put it in his suicide note to his cheating wife R.I.P. Adam.

From hearing it i think its just F then C repeated in the verse and intro. Then for chorus its A minor, to G then F, but for the last line hold the F and go back to C and G.
