I've always noticed a lot of people solo way out of time and rhythm when not playing with something. Hence, I'm sincerely curious when I ask, do you not hear it in your head?
A tool formal musicians use to learn this is called 'sight-singing' - or at least in this case, humming or whistling the tune you've heard.
@aculturemind Of course I did, and I knew it. I kinda sucked so the reason there's no backing track is people might not see that I play the solo actually pretty badly:D I'm a tiny bit better now I might try again this solo or the whole track, i don't know:P
The tuning happens at the other end of the string at the bridge. Search for steinberger guitars for more info, I've got Hohner guitar with Steinberger system on it

When I did this video I've had been playing for like 4-5 years. My advice is: find a good teacher! Or someone who can help you improving your technique. And if you play metal, your teacher should be a metalhead too who knows what's the deal with this style. Thx for commenting!
Tanks dude how much would a teacher cost by the hour i was actually thinking about finding a teacher. It's just sometimes you already have to have a big wallet to keep getting lessons lol
You don't need to go to a teacher all the time! I've been at the teacher only 2 or 3 times:D First I learnt the basics (on first two lessons. The second was only a half lesson I didn't pay:D), then I was able to learn certain techniques. And then again 2 years later to see whether I learnt these techniques well. He corrected my mistakes and now I'm good enough imho. That is just the technique. I need a few more lessons to imporve my musical sense.

Well this wasn't that close, and I wasn't practicing it a lot because my band (with which I was about to cover this song) split up. But the idea to demo the guitar is really good, I'll do it some day. It's a really good piece of wood, it deserves a little fame

Rhythm is more important than pitch content. I think your fingering was fine.

It's actually a Hohner Guitar with "steinberger system". But it is similar to a steiny, that is why I bought it.
And that's not the only not I screwd:P But I will play something like this when I do the cover of this song with my band.
