    I have a Z31. Not necessarily fast but I enjoy it. That's all that matters in the end.

  • All in all it's mainly in the ENTHUSIAST. 300zxTT will hold value longer and be top dog long after the 350/370z's are dead. But in this era 350/370z's will get you more pussy because women don't understand the tradition and religion of the 300zx.

  • All these z32 fans just don't want to admit it but 350z>300zx TT. 300ZX is only making 300hp with twin turbo, while the 350z is making 306hp naturally aspired. 350Z has a bigger engine and weighs less overall. Handles way better and better braking.. 300zx is old technology, don't get me wrong it's a great car for its time.. but put a twin turbo set up in a 350Z it won't even be a close race.

  • @iiMGorgeousBabii Sure, or slap a V8 or RB26 in etc. However, you have to consider the question of legality, in most countries/states, you can't twin turbo charge the 350z and still be road legal. I would choose the 300zx over the 350z, because here in California, the 350Z can never be as fast as the 300zx if we are talking about road legal cars!

  • @Lukeentertainment yeah bro i live in california.. and there is plenty or superchargers for the 350Z that are street legal (HKS, Stillen, etc) so yes a 350Z can be street legal and smoke a street legal Z32 bad.. z32tt is old technology get with the times

  • @iiMGorgeousBabii Superchargers is a different story, they are a lot easier to get smog legal compared to turbo chargers. The Z32 may be 20 years old, but it was really ahead of its time. You also have to consider that when the Z32 was new it was built to compete with powerful cars such as Corvettes, Supra's and Porsche's, the Z33 was built to compete with more low power cars such as Honda S2000 and Rx8. The Z33 is by no doubt more modern than the Z32 but was sort of built in a hurry.

  • @Lukeentertainment It's no harder to get Turbochargers smog legal than superchargers. Considering there's no parasitic loss from a Turbo. Turbos don't create anymore emissions than superchargers. Both are forcing air into the engine. It's just different means of doing it.

  • @tobythesandwich I really wish you were right, but here in Cali they will fail under a visual inspection that bolt on superchargers pass. It has nothing to do with emissions. It is really fucking stupid! Luckily there are still crocked smog inspectors out there that will approve you for a good tip!

  • @Lukeentertainment We don't have those problems out here on the east coast. You can get 50-state legal turbo kits for the Zs though. It's more of a matter if you're installing a power adder that could up emissions CA is goofy with making sure they are smog legal. So you need the paperwork to verify from the manufacturer that they went through the EPA certification.

    Anyway, the Z33 was a rushed project by Nissan which shows if you look at things such as interior details. The 370Z is a much more carefully built and designed car. Having said that, I think the Z33 is the prettiest of the three. Finally, I don't want to get with the times, I personally like older cars better, newer cars have too much computer technology in them. Which is why I drive a Mazda Rx7, simple and back to basics :)

  • @Lukeentertainment I guess to each their own I love my 350z, that's why I sold my 1991 300zx TT and bought it. If where to choose a car from the 90s that i believe would hang and beat some of todays cars it would only be the Supra. that 2JZ engine is a mechanical wonder :)

  • saw a race between what i had been told was a stock 300ZX TT and a stock 370Z in japan, 300zxTT won by a small margin over the quarter mile. the 260Z in that vid is modded.. it is too fast, also the Z31 300zx was N/A.. this should have been the correct order (i know not all these cars were present):

    Z32 300zx TT

    Z33 350Z

    Z32 300zx N/A

    Z31 300zx Turbo

    S130 280ZX Turbo

    Z31 300zx N/A

    S30 280Z

    S30 260Z

    That's what I thought. I am willing to bet it was a NA Z31 as well. Adding the fact that it's a 2+2, it's gonna fail way in the back of the pack. A couple turbo Z31 on the other hand, would have done much better.

  • The 2nd generation 300ZX was the best car Nissan ever made. That styling had a lot of class & 300hp on it's stocked turbo V6 engine. That's the only car from Nissan that ever had my attention.

  • @milkthecow2200 The first year of the Z32 was built in 1989, I can't tell from this "distance" if that particular Z32 was from the first year but it is totally possible. The car itself was definitely designed and developed in the 80's. Clarkson knows what he is talking about (most of the time)

But listening to it again it sounded like he said "198300z-edx" Which is bad English (BAD Jeremy! shame on you!) And I just totally missed that "manage to pep the 260 from the 70's" which was the 260Z. Sounded like he was trying to rap or something. It almost like he was describing the 260 as that 1980 ZX, unless I'm going crazy

  • @dammyousuck LOL man don't cry because the 350z lost, but to make you feel better the 350z did beat the na 300zx. And it did manage to inch ahead of the 2nd gen 1983 280zx, regardless if it's turbo 300zx or not it's all stock from the factory.

    Plus both 350Z and TT 300ZX have the same hp so it's fair game ;P

  • 300zx and the 260 are awesome cars! But Jeremy Clarkson, while knowing a lot about cars, is one of the worst drivers for testing! I think it was two years later or so, that he did another review of the 350z but had Tiff Needel driving, and ended up loving the Z! I own a 2005 350z, but would LOVE to get my hands on the 300zx!

  • @GhostAholics I believe you got Top Gear and Fifth Gear mixed up. Jeremy = Top, Tiff = Fifth. And their opinions differ quite a lot sometimes.

  • I have at 430hp 300 TT, and I was playing around with some 370's on the highway, and the are zippy! I dont know if they were modded, but I had to drive a 5000 rpms, or boost to keep up with them in traffic... they look pretty decent too. 300zx for ever though!

  • @NSX86R yeah. At the shop I used to work at, which did predominantly chain-timed v8s anyway, I've never heard of a timing chain break but dozens of belt failures. there were a few that skipped a chain, but they were all Mercedes and jags.

The problem is ppl R stupid it says chng every 60k miles but the also show 120k km I hve had customs break the belt saying the belt only has 80k miles nit. And I think yeah stupid it clearly says 60k miles your looking at km. There are 3 reasons a belt will break 1) you confuse miles with km

    2) you run more than 7600rpms 3) something physically clogs the belts I am not a fan of chains

  • Ahhh, finally somebody agrees with me that 350z and 370z is a piece of shit. 1990 $50,000 for 300ZX, 2010 $32,000 for 370Z, I though they are suppose to get more expensive because of inflation. Looks like Nissan cut corners somewhere or use cheap parts to plaster it together. The upside is they sell more 350z and 370zs than 300ZXs because of the cheap pricing, good thing for them bad thing for us because we get a piece of shit that looks like a turtle.

    Looks like someone needs a dick up his ass and realize new Z is a POS, even the design is ugly as hell. I use to work for Honda, every single new car cost around 500 million to 600 million in today's money to redesign, same goes for 350z/370z. The frame and parts that goes on to it are all different, that's why it cost so much. The only way to reduce cost is use cheaper material or make most of the parts in China instead of Japan. So your new Z is probably 80% made in China.

  • @Veilside1000HP well good thing that my Z is 33 years old back when it was a true sports car and not an over teched computer on wheels. =P as memory serves the 300zx was Nissan's FIRST EVER twin turbo sports car, designed and built in a time when almost no one but super car manufacturers were building production cars with twin turbo. the N/Z 300zx though still pricey was significantly cheaper than the twin turbo model.

  • @dacbiet The 300ZX TT is Grossly inflated. An NA 300zx will accept a 300zx TT engine with Minimal difficulty and usually for a lesser price than the overall price of a TT Model.

    wrong. VQ engine do not like boost. You can get away with maybe 5psi. For $300 for the 300zx turn the boost up to 14 psi ( highest safe psi for stock injectors) and it can easily keep up with a 370z also if not beat it.

    The reason nissan made the 350 and 370 non turbo its bc it wanted to go back to its roots. A affordable and reliable, sports car.What made the 240z was that it was light, affordable and quick. With the 300zx they got crazy and put too much money into technology therefore driving the price up to 50k in the last year sold in the US.Turbos, electronic suspension dampening,4 wheel steering, VVT,all technology which is not cheap nor reliable.Nissan just took the Z back to its roots.
