  • Is this Misson early on in the game

  • what the hell,i have it and on the home screen there is a message but i cant read it ...its so fucked up ;/ anyone is having the same plroblem?

  • how many people play this still and should i buy it

  • Bah bring in the hulk, game over for all DC villians/hero

  • They should put in a campaign no one wants a game that's only online

  • @maur1340 I do

  • @maur1340 its a stinkin mmo what the hell is wrong with you -__-

  • @maur1340 Ever heard of something called: "MMO"?

  • @proGaimz massive multiplayer online is mmo

  • @maur1340 a co-op with 4-players would be awesome

  • @maur1340 lmao, dumbass.

  • consider that character mine

  • why dont they just use the cinematic trailer?...to me thats seem like the better and more appealing one even though it shows little comparison to the actual game

  • @seglan0226 cause then your game is hurled down for being misleading... gamers are bitchy and they bitch when they're mislead.

  • @lawlawlowned Im a gamer an yea a lot of gamers do bitch a lot but im not one those kind. Anyway, i do agree with how they showed the trailer.

  • Whens the Open Beta :D

  • @eddieham13 Then not only will your friends get teased but you will get teased by other people...

  • i wonder how many will be playing it on ps3

  • @MrLuisbubu Online play will be mixed together with ps3 and pc playing on centralized servers.

  • Most of you guys complain paying 20 dollars monthly for this game when yet some of you are paying 60 bucks to play on Xbox live..Like WTF!?!

  • @almir908 dude im pretty sure most of the gamers here complaining have a ps3...and maybe an xbox too....basically they are complaining b/c going online for the ps3 is free thats the reason why the majority of gamers buy the ps3 in the first place..so the developers telling ps3 gamers to pay monthly fees might come as a shock to them

  • @seglan0226 It's an MMO online game..You ALWAYS Pay for an MMO online game, it's actually MMO's main rule

  • @almir908 i don't play on 360 online anymore cause i have a ps3 but when i did it was 60 for a year. 15-20 bucks a month to play this game is a bit to much for me anyway. 240 bucks a year to play this game? come on son.

  • I wouldn't mind a monthly fee if it were 10/mo for a month, and cheaper if buying in bulk time

  • Is this game a joke?

  • watch this (watch?v=49pT44FYc8s&NR=1) video before you buy this game so you would know if its worth buying

  • This game freaking sucks its like a ps 1 beat em up crap except that ps1 beat em up were good.

I dont know why they went for that crappy art style

  • Get ready for the very first console MMO baby!

  • yes i totally 100% agree with u crunnch246

  • @crunnch246

Lol are you kidding me? how much money do you spend buying other video games? are you willing to tell me you buy only 1 game for the whole year? or what about junk food? we are talking about monthly not weekly. Plus if you have a PS3 you can pay using the playstation network cards

  • Yeah, but some people can't always afford to pay every single month, especially for a game, you could be spending over $180 a year every year. To me that is a pretty big number, the game should be F2P and I think many people do agree with me.

  • you jokeing i would pay 20$ a munth for this game

  • this is the future of mmorpg..... all those fake time WoW, Aion, WAR gameplay crap is obsolete.

  • is this free online or not???

  • @Changun18 Nope you pay a monthly fee. If you want a F2p there is Perfect World Inc that has various versions, Allods and some others.

  • Looks allot better than the alpha footage, that shit was horrid. I'm definitely considering picking this up.

  • iv just signed up for the ps3 beta, this game looks very promising.

  • does any think it would be possible for me 2 create a character who uses lots of guns and ranged gadgets but also has some melee attacks like knifes and tazers

  • @Zakisback1 its been explained that yes you can but you have to watch they're question and answer videos on facebook or myspace

  • did nobody at dc/sony notice that the controllable character looks like war machine after the slim fast plan.

  • i wonder if they get tired of saying the same shit

  • Highly doubting it'll stay on p2p. Afterall, if someone paid for a PS3 I doubt they'll want to pay to play a game. Unless you're just talking about online...even then nobody is going to want to pay to play....they have to compete against WoW. If it's free it'll be a serious contender. This game has all the makings of greatest if they plan things right.

  • @Garelock How can they compete against a P2P game with a F2P game while losing revenue? That logic makes no sense.

  • Not all mmog's require fees. There are some great ones out there that are free to play. However, a fee upon your regular membership on the playstation platform is a bit much. You should get a discount for that, like 9 bucks a month or something. Although SoE is quarterbacking this one, let's hope they don't trash it like they did with Matrix Online (or rather, they just finished the job that monolith started.)

  • I think the subscription should be $5 a month. That would be reasonable. $15 is just a bit too much. You waste sooo much money when you pay that much. Every month the thought would be eating me alive.

  • wat

  • yall complaining about payin 15$ every month u guys every month dud get a job u get from 1100$ to 1500$ thats way fair and for i just collect or ask my parents for money when i dont have money i atleast get 100$ a month from my parents or 50$ atleast omg u guys are broke if not then u lazy asses gtta get up n work

  • @azzeddine20 sdfu u spoiled brat u dont even have a job and u should be happy ur parents are at least giving u money bitch

  • @azzeddine20 Don't tell us to work when your mooching money from your parents.

  • y pay for this shit?? if there r better p2p games like WoW, & Aion

  • @RonnieCrz06 hahaha. Awww nice one. Tell another! :D

  • @RonnieCrz06 because its not on ps3.........

  • @RonnieCrz06 How to do you know if they're better? Have u played this game?

  • @RonnieCrz06 Why pay for a geeky nerd game like World of warcraft? People would tease you if they found out you play that shit.

  • how many heroes and villians can u create

  • @jdiddy501 6 character slots.

  • @TheGaskid me too man lol

  • @Zelkyplant I totally agree...let them eat cake! Oh, and they can also go play Anarchy Online....one of the first FREE MMOs...God, does that game suck balls...

  • @Zelkyplant harsh but true

  • SO DARK

  • beast and can u have super speed and be evil i guess ill find out when the beta launches beta sign ups right now

  • it will be b2p for f'ck shake go to google read the it by you self they said that the game wint have any sup fee... thay said that at gamescon 2009 :)

  • @DjIceAngel The game will be $14.99 US Dollars per month (that means every single month you play, Copernicus), with the exception of the first 30 days, as it is noted on the box that it is free 30 day play. Welcome to the 21st century dude...

  • a little fail from you its not p2p its b2p you pay a one time fee

soe already said that long time ago its gonna be supscription free...pay 1 time you got the game forever :)...sorry for bad english

  • hehe i have a job which pays the bills and also and a chunk full extra to spend to my own but i just down want to p2p games cuz i dont really stick that long to an mmo and i do see the point of it.....and besides u get more money if it's item shops which get u more money than making u pay month by month.

  • Ohh man the voice acting really sucks 0=

  • It'll be cool if they added 2 player online but that'll probebly make it too laggy.

  • Comment removed

  • Name one Free-to-Play MMO that could compare with games like WOW, COH/COV, CO, AION, Age of Conan, STO, yada, yada, yada. The fact is Pay-to-play is what the big boys and girls do...you know...the ones that actually work for a living! Who are...um...what's that word...Oh, yeah...EMPLOYED! If unemployed children wanna stay with free games that is their choice...but for grown-ups, you wanna be able to enjoy games on a grander scale (with grander content), you gotta pay! 'Nuff Said!

  • @Thorngod, GW f.e...

BTW, Ppl, search the video named "DC Universe Online: Pay To Play! (Big Mistake)"...This guy is 100% rigth IMO

  • @TheBreadshit I am so sorry for you and your limited mental capacity......get a life...and get a job...unemployed, uneducated people depend on you

  • @TheBreadshit Do you honestly believe that WOW, Eve Online, Warhammer Online, Aion, Age of Conan, COH/COV, CO and STO are all just doing this because they can? They do it because that is what is known as "Standard Market Rate". The standard market rate for MMO subscription is $14.99. Are you that blind to think DCUO made up the word "micro-transactions"!?! Man, CO and STO have micro--tranactions...and have HAD micro-transactions since last year. WOW Expansions have NOT BEEN free

  • @Thorngod Haha I agree with you man, but when you quit a game and look back on all the money you wasted on the monthly subscriptions and what you could have spent it on, it really sucks :(

  • @Thorngod Ehhh.... Runescape is kinda succesfull....

  • WOW.

My poor PC would shit out its mouth, if I tried to run this game. A shame because it looks amazing.

Wait, did they say they enjoyed playing Batman and Superman in games? Where did they find a good Batman/Superman game?!?

  • I'm hoping this game rocks. My daughters and I love DC, so fighting alongside our favorite creations is something we are looking forward too.

And for all of those folks complaining about having to pay for the game+a sub fee, sorry, but it's a standard practice. WoW, CoH, and others do it all the time.

  • @SolarWing0 yh i dont mind a sub fee, but will there be time cards so u dont have to pay online?

  • @seanc102 I'd have to believe that eventually there will be. But maybe not at startup. I mean, if 'City of Heroes', IMVU, and the like have time cards available, SOE should follow suit. They're not gonna care how you pay, as long as you pay.

  • why dont they show gameplay on the pc... they dont have one gameplay video on pc and i guarantee most of the players will be on pc.

  • @ajlee20999 There are many PC gameplay videos. Just because they show gameplay of the game that doesnt mean its automatically the ps3 version of it.

  • @narutofan9423 it shows the guy holding a ps3 controller just like every gameplay video

  • @ajlee20999 True but you can use a ps3 controller on the pc....which in many videos they demonstrate.

  • i want to play it really bad but if there are goin to be monthly fees i'm not goin too

  • there should be a free version server, and a subscription server for anyone who wants to subscribe for content

  • not gonna play if there's a subscription

  • All you guys saying, "Oh p2p is bad." Rethink this. Sure you pay more money but you get what you are paying for. These monthly fees pay for the damn free updates you get every patch which make the game BETTER by adding new content and what not. So please i realize that you have no idea how the gaming industry works but please. CALM YOUR SHIT

  • @Shoadowguard unless you have to pay for the extra content... then we have a plain case of greediness... hope its worth it ive been waiting for this game for so long

  • @Shoadowguard yeaa, but these guys... DONT LET YOU GERT EXPANSION PACKS FOR FREE, shall I repeat? this is a rip off, and updates are practicly supposed to be free and all those people paying makes it rather a money maker for a lot of money, p2p is a rip off, look at cod MW2, they do fine and dont got p2p

  • @abcRebel MW2 is one of the most broken games in the world. Oh btw the CEO of Activision is pushing for MW2 to be P2P....

  • @Shoadowguard thats because the game sucks and they need more money. but what i was referring to goes for all the regular games today, most don't include p2p

  • @abcRebel You paid for your DLC for that. You also didn't get a dedicated server. Ever think that if you paid, you'd of gotten a dedicated server and free DLC?

  • @Shoadowguard plus you get a month free. if you dont like it just freakin return it...

  • @Shoadowguard

Not to mention the fact that servers cost money to run.

So of course an online game will need fees

  • @Shoadowguard Thats wrong. Say a million people buy this game, thats $60-million then you have that $15 fee= $15,000,000 a month. Their just being greedy. (And that number is just for 1 million ppl, there will probably be more units than that sold)

  • @54M9DUD3 What about World of Warcraft, Aion, and other MMO games? They have subscription fees. Every good MMO that has turned out millions of players have sub fees. Why should this be any different?

  • @Dosshow WoW broke my laptop, never played Aion. But I have PerfectWorld which is better than WoW to say the least.

  • @54M9DUD3 If you're good at something never do it for free.

  • @Shoadowguard yes this is what i been trying to say! the only other thing you pay for is probably something like an expansion but im sure the fee will cover updates which will improve the game and new content like new quests/missions and stuff.

  • @Shoadowguard ure pretty dumb "you get what you are paying for" you paid for the game already. patches??? they are fixing THEIR mistakes not yours u dont have to pay for their mistakes... plus half the expansions are thought up with the game and sold seperatly(typo?) oh well anyways it doesnt have to work like that. how bout you rethink this....

  • @mastaflastablasta a patch isnt only a fix usually it adds new content, maybe little things sometimes big things, and just because the expansion was thought up at the start of the game doesnt mean it was made yet...mmos take constant work from the creaters..thats y yur constantly paying...would u wanna work a 9-5 job for say 5 yrs but only get payed for yur first day? and only for a a tiny fraction of the work u put in?

  • @mastaflastablasta

Spell you're. This in itself shows others your intellect. Patches are not simply for a creators faults but also: unexpected occurrences, additional story lines, additional content. You're assuming that most new content and cities will only be available through expansion packs and that's already faulty. The way Jens and Chris Implied content was that monthly, there will be new things added. \Jens even stated this in one of the interviews. Look up your info next time. Fool.

  • @Shoadowguard You are also paying Jens and Chris and the rest of the dev team that worked so very hard on the game. I mean common we owe them that much for the awesome game theyre giving us. So stop whining folks get a job and play the game.

  • @Shoadowguard lol i agree with you on everything except the whole "free updates" part. Its obviously not free if your paying monthly for it. So your paying for a much better service and constant updates. that makes more sense

  • @Shoadowguard or in the case of champions online, you pay monthly fees and get ignored completely for a year (form a pvpers point of view)

  • well...i mean buying the game is never the problem...the whole monthly thing is what gets me...cause 15 dollars will add up...so i thnk they should try something a bit like guild wars...

  • @lilmikehokage well its only 50 cents a day if you really think about it. That doesn't sound too bad to me at all. The game will never be the same all the time. When they pdate stuff in the game to make it better it all comes from the monthly fee. Also the monthly fee also help maintain the servers they offer to the game and make sure they run smoothly.

  • F2p games usually arent as good as P2P

  • Why it's P2P ? Stupid Sony !!... I wanted to buy it .. but i think a lot of players don't want to pay for a ps3 game..

  • @SlaiP09 I will pay it. Final fantasy 14 will be p2p and thats on ps3 and final fantasy 11 on ps2 was even p2p...so its not like its anything new to the playstation to have a p2p game.

  • aaaa Why !? "As of E3 2010, it has been revealed the game has a standard $14.99 a month subscription fee." I wanted to play this but they fail ..

  • @3RunDragon what a whole 15 dollars a month keeps you away:-p

  • @HolyAlric we're not made of money asshole, hell 15 dollars a month could buy a new psn game.. i still might pay it though. . im hoping they give you a better offer for the price with maybe a 3 month or 6 month sign up

  • @HolyAlric Yes.

An extra $15 a month does add up. What if you enjoy more than one, possibly 3-4 different online games? What if you want to have a drink with your friends? Watch a movie? You suddenly find yourself able to do this less often because your wallet stings harder everytime...

An extra $15 also has a harder impact on those with smaller wages, who are more likely to escape into MMOs after serving a multitude of more fortunate, unappreciative ****s all day who don't have to say sorry.

  • ive posted this on so many vids but i just wanna spread the info: massively.c@m/2010/06/17/e3-2010-dc-universe-online-takes-it-up-a-notch/#continued replace the @ with on o because of youtube block obviously but as of june 17th its confirmed p2p!! WOOT!! content updates, frequent patches and stable servers here i come!

  • it comes out 11/9/2010 nvm

  • they show all this chit but no release date

  • i wonder how deep the customization will be. would be cool if you could actualy make marvel characters

  • @SuperAl19 most likely depends on how creative you are

  • looks like a good game, but it's all based on the play, and the people you come up against, (villans and heros) it seems like if your playing as an acrboat, your basically playing as batman with a different skin, the player has a grappling gun, like batman dose... makes me worry about the games originality, if it's pay to play i will not, i have not payed for an mmo for about a year and a half, (or longer) and am not about to start now...

  • @Jshaw71 God you so right, I was excited at first. But after seeing this i'm a little less than impressed with this title.

  • @TeeZ1990 i hope they improve the game over time, before release, and it's a lot fresher... but as of right now... not really impressive, there should be an offline imo...

  • @Jshaw71 Agreed.

  • @Jshaw71Did you not listen to the guy in the video at all? The reason this character has batman's abilities is because when you create your character theres a feature called "inspired by customization" which allows you to make up a player with similar powers of specific heroes or villians. In this case this character has the same abilities of batman. In many other videos they say you can create anything you want. If you want to be original you can. Don't base the whole game from one video...

  • @narutofan9423 maybe i missed that, but i guess we'll see when the game is released, or more videos come out, that shows player creation...

  • @Jshaw71 It nothing like that. The character creation as many different variations. For instance, you can make a character that is based off batman's look but shoots fire from his hands and can fly. One can choose to have character that looks and plays like batman but you don't have to.

  • @SamySantana oh, ok, thanks for the info, i am sorry, i guess i misunderstood, and jumped to conclusions...

  • @Jshaw71 they've already stated that there are various combination between the tendencies you can use, this game looks great, I can't wait

  • @Busta5o4 i guess there will be combos, for heroes... ok, i would like to know if there's an offline mode? i would love to know that...

  • p2p well there goes that game oh well ASSASSINS CREED 3 HERE I COME!!!

  • where's part two?

  • looks awesome

  • How does everyone know it's P2P? I mean I knew it too, but wasn't it only announced like.. a few hours ago?

  • @p00pzapper First, I think you mean PS3. Second, there has been videos on this since 08. Everyone knows!

  • @DRAI517 No i meant pay 2 play.. I've known it was on ps3 for years too, i've been following it like crazy

  • @p00pzapper Oh, in that case yes $14.99.

  • @DRAI517 so you need to pay for pc, ps3 or both?

  • @mike10031 Yep, not sure how its going to work, but yeah.

  • Can someone give me a link to where it says you have to pay a monthly subscription? I cant find any information about it

  • WHO DOSEN't KNOW WHO QUINN IS OMG

  • WILL IT BE FREE TO PLAY

  • @LordNightmair 14.99 a month pal

  • @LordNightmair no.. monthly sub

  • @LordNightmair No its pay to play

  • THANK YOU OH SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO! I LOVE YOU <3 :)

  • I've been following the game since it was announced years ago.

I hadn't been as excited about it lately, but this looks fantastic. It really does look more like an action game.

I just hope unarmed martial arts is fun.

  • awsome i cant wait

  • cool :D
