Plaxico is a great receiver, he made a mistake that resulted in a physical injury to no one but himself. He had a gun on him because if you take a look at some of the stories of what has happened to other NFL players i.e. getting robbed/ mugged and shot or shot at, he was protecting himself. Could he have used another means to do so, like bodyguards for example? yes, but he didnt he made a mistake. EVERYONE is guilty of it. He shouldnt receive an overly harsh penalty...
