@tacito69 Yep. You will notice that this engine is not sitting on the stock frame. This is a custom tube-frame that allowed the engine to be put way back against the firewall. There's really not much Datsun left here.

And I know a huge amount of import chassis with American engines like LS1s, LS2s, and old Carbed 350s and 383s! Nothing wrong with a motor swap dude. @SkunKsmoKes The entire front cage was done with simple sketches and I freehand built the rest. I didn't keep any of the original designs. Cut the firewall out, drop the motor in as low and far back as you can and build around it. Trangulate everything for strength and don't work yourself into a corner. Good luck!

Sweet car. But did i see a carb? i would have Went with a fuel injected ramjet setup. With the computer hook up. the little black box as some call it. you probably know what i am talking about. i personally think that is the best way to go. but it is More expensive. But you make up for it in fuel consumption. We have an s-10 with just below 1,000 h.p. almost 500 runs. no repairs yet. a very good set up. extremely reliable. broke a trans. in half though. right down the middle. Twice. :-)

I love this video man. It reminds me of when I had an 86 S-10 and put a 350 in it. Just built it up to a 330 HP nothing special, but it sure was fun. I was inspired by my nephew who raced his S-10 with a 700HP stroker with a 3 stage NOS, roll cage, everything for the strip, but we would take it out on Sat night and make a few bucks. What's the rear end on this thing? I put a 1973 350 Chev in my 1979 280zx and the 373 rear end was way too low for it. I wanted to put something less than a 300 in it with positrac but couldn't find one at the time. So it dropped from 25 mpg to less than 14 mpg. And at the drag strip, it would pretty much sit there spinning the one tire.

@ysgeye It is a modified R200 with 3.90 gearing, a KAAS 2way limited slip, a Nismo finned cover with cooler provisions, that is hard mounted to the chassis. The CV conversion uses one-off Skyline/ Porsche hybrid units.
