Mr Ellaskins, I recently bought CDJ850s with brand new cases and am wondering the best possible way to align the foam padding on the TOP cover (the soft sponge that presses on top of the Deck)..... Should the foam be squishing the top of the CDJ platter? OR should the foam have two lines running down the side and securing the player that way??
Thanks for the show-and-tell! What are those small rounded caps called, which you use to pull the main cables out at the back? I would love to install them into my cases. Have you installed them yourself?
i actually had a coffin for my two cdj's and 19 inch mixer as well, but i got rid of it after about 6 months because all in all, it weighed over 150 pounds filled and barely fit into an SUV. now i'm happily using individual flight cases for my cdj's and mixer =D
That is a nice flightcase. I recieved one as a christmasgift today. It's a flightcase from reloop. Very nice and my equipment (2 turntables & 1 dj-mixer) fits perfect in there.
flight cases are very important for mobile djs because you spend alot of money on your gear then all you need is it getting battared in the back of your van

im deciding whether to get a coffin or single case for my technics
i use serato so im thinking a coffin would be easier to pack all the wiring.
would the coffin still weigh too much?(thats what ive been hearing)

Great vid ..
just wondered what brand that case was.
I am current looking out for a chase, with almost the same setup as you (cdj 800 mk2 x 2 and DJM400 ) ..
Any place your could recommend (that actually ships in europe) ?

the lid of the flightcase can be put under the main case...thats y there are grooves on the lid corners to fit the stubby legs in
makes the equipment stand up higher...

looks like a roadready

it would be nice if they built a power strip within the flight case, and then have one power cord that has it's own compartment within the case.

wait... if your going to the us. it is different cables and and different amounts of power. what can you do for that?

single cases are better, why?
Its lighter
More flexible
Fits in at more places, you might not be able to insert a 2 cd +mixer case in the trunk But with one case per unit you can.
Its easier to steal a single case than 3 seperate.
If the combo case falls onto the ground, all 3 units are in danger. This wont appeal to single cases.
Single cases are more solid witch means they can take more damage.
You can move all your gear all by yoursel alot easier.
