That is way far from that now, Colombia is a beautiful Country , full of great people , amazing culture, and many more things. I only have to say that Colombia is not how they show it in the movies. well, the title seems not to be picked that well. "the man that ran into a death-trap down in columbia" would be less missleading. aside from that (and the fact that columbia is most CERTAINLY a beautiful country and you will most LIKELY meet lots of marvellous people there) i think it's a sad FACT that widely across middle & south amerika the value of human live is THAT low "to the average thug on the street" that he would not hesitate to kill for 100 $ even if the victim was cooperative. :-(

bullshit. it is a deathtrap. my wife is from cali and we went there to visit her parents. when we were traveling to there ranch in the mountains, men in masks and ak's ran out of the jungle and surrounded us demanding money, passports, jewlery and and our shoes. fuckin stupid country
