has anyone noticed since DJ's started using CD's instead of vinyl the mixing isn't as tight anymore? they don't seem to be able to keep the beats perfectly synched like you can with vinyl. just listen when the pulp fiction beats drop at 13:15 definately slightly out. hearing this more and more with CD mixing.

@dazzlet666 Mixing is lazy nowadays. With vinyl you needed skill to beat match and mix. Now people hit auto match and the pc syncs BPM's. Its why mad bedroom DJ's popped out of woodwork and are able to play out. Back in the day DJ's spent years in the basement practicing the real art of turntablism and spinning. Anyway, respect to Storm. Chick has been putting it down for a minute now.

@girtisholland yeah totally agree with everything you said. i was one of them dj's practising for years on vinyl.. and then CD mixing became the norm and i no longer wanted to be a DJ. any idiot with fingers and a few CD's thinks they are a DJ now.

@girtisholland i think you can trace the decline of drum and bass back to when CD and MP3 mixing became the standard. i don't feel the excitement watching big name DJ's mixing on CD's and laptops like i did when they were rocking two turntables with the latest dubplates. maybe im just getting old lol :P

Now you can snag a mp3 download of anything, anytime. Also, terrible MC's, drum and bass fusion styles, and this dubstep fad has taken over. Many of my favorite dnb dj's are only spinning dubstep now. Breaks my heart lol

@girtisholland hehe yeah me too! hate dubstep but it's obviously lucrative these days so the DJ's follow the money. i dont blame them in a way, the art form of turntablism is gone from most places now, the buzz just isnt there anymore. all this new technology has spoilt it for me. it used to be all about looking up to the skills of the big dj's.. now its like.. ' oh.. so even he is using a laptop to play this copycat wobble jump up crap? sigh' at least that's how i feel anyway.
