I was homeless for a while and all those welfare programs where they give you money for just sitting on your ass, I couldn't find them. Just like all those '$35/hr jobs' with no applicants, I couldn't find those either.

This attempt at scapegoating is very reminiscent of Germany in the 1930s. The blame was placed on Jewish people, and through their strife, fascism and the Nazis came to rise in Europe.
The Heritage Foundation and other "think" tanks are probing the American people to see what conceptual blame they are willing to accept. If the American people are pushed to the brink of strife, they will begin to accept these notions and the Tea Party could rise to legitimate power.

This crisis is in large part to the financial sector having grown too fast. And deindustrialisation (GM anyone) Economie is largy defined by the money that is moving, so how are the people, who have no money to invest in anything other then stay alive, responsible? Banks build a tower or derived assest so high, most financial experts lost their way in the maze they created. And at some point, the tower of derived assests crash down because the assests they're build upon, don't deliver.

This is very true, JP Morgan was the first bank to issue CDS derivatives and it was meant for companies and companies ONLY.
Other banks, and also other companies, started using the swaps on households as well. And almost nobody understood the advanced mathematics behind it.
.
So everything fucked up, since other banks saw themselves as fully protected if the households in debt would fail.
And there is a tradition in the U.S to avoid safety regulations of such things.

I think everyone is somewhat responsible. You can't just blame this group or that group because when it comes down to it no one was complaining when everything was going well. Those directly responsible for the collapse had been doing the same thing for YEARS and they unfortunately got a little too greedy and made a mess. Now people want to get upset and place blame yet who were the sheep that let it happen? Who were the ones who kept voting the SAME damn people into office?

@lordblazer Ignorance is never an excuse. If there are people who are pulling strings with our lives you should pay attention to what they're doing. Voting Bush in twice was irresponsible. Not saying anything about him sending troops over there illegally. Letting him torture people? The poor aren't crippled, they can make political decisions too. It pisses me off every time i look at my check and see a portion of my money go to undeserving people.
