Protest Warrior was hugely out numbered at that Protest.

Instead of counter-protesting with a genuine message and/or debate, take a page from the liberal playbook-

Street theater.

A. Bums. Dress up like bums and mill around them asking for "change? Anybody got any change?" and do not go out of character.

B. Zombies. Get into costume as Zombies and mill around them looking for, "brains!" and not finding any.

C. Sing Kumbaya to them, with acoustic guitar accompaniment! They love that song! It'll distract them, I promise.

Actually, this is an old chicken hawk tactic. They engage their enemies, at large demos, instead of holding their own protest. Why?

For one thing from the camera angle, you can't see who's who. Thus it gives the impression the Chicken Hawks are more than one stiff and a camera man.
