no, this isn't the correct decision. rebounders or not, you should be putting the ball in at least 9/10 times in a 5-1 situation. i'm going to say he hits this maybe 4/10 times pulling up like that. of the 6 misses, his team get the ball back maybe 4 times and score 2 pts 2/4 times (since the defense has had time to get back by then) = 16 pts < 18 points. decent but not the best decision.

Actually as more time has passed in the NBA he has seen more and more time and his PPG has continued to climb. I don't know, and I really don't care what anyone else things. Reddick is one of my fav players, and I think he's pretty damn good.
He is and consistently, he scores in double-digits off the bench and Pietrus or Barnes are not doing as good as him but yet he never gets started. I wish he was traded to the Suns, him, Steve Nash, and Amar'e would be lethal.

definetly not... ODDS are your team will get the rebound no matter how far the rebound goes out... times that by JJ reddick's chance of scoring and any other option is the wrong one... meaning he made the correct decision and scored... good choice. you've probably only watched basketball

Dude i've played basketball all my life buddy(and i'm guessing i'd wreck you one on one).... and if anyone one my high school team would have done this they would have been benched for sure. Odds are you'll get the rebound yes, but by the time you get the rebound the defense will most likely be back, so you wont be able to get an easy two. I realize he made the shot, but it was selfish your not gonna change my mind on this.

Ya, I think he has guts for even firing a 3, when they were on a 5 on 1 run.. and couldve easily got the layup or a close in high percentage shot.... I mean if J.J. would have missed that he would have looked like a total ball hog and maybe got shit for it too.... Unless he had to take that shot to get back a lead or something, but that would be the only reason I could see that he would need to take a shot like that with a 5 on 1. I'm just glad he made it b/c I like J.J. I think he has potential

Ya if he missed his teammates probably wouldnt have been pleased. Ya it would have been a smart shot if it was near the end of a close game and they needed a 3. It was a ballsy move lol. I don't think JJ has much potential though, I think he'll get more playing time in the future. But i don't see him being anything more than a spot up shooter.

Ya, thats kind of what I meant when I said potential... lol.. sorry to confuse you.. he's already a great shooter but more work on it certainly wouldn't hurt anything. What I meant by potential is exactly what you said about him getting more playing time in the future... The Magic already have great shooters... but I just hope the Magic bring him along possibly in the next year or couple years, where he can start playing a lot more, b/c he is a great player. He's made mistakes but who hasn't.

Haha oh ok than. And ya the magic are loaded with 3-point shooters right now. I think JJ could potentially be a starter in a few years IF he gets better at defense. Because obviously he is a really good shooter. There's no way he will ever be an all-star though in my opinion. Maybe the all-star game 3-point challenge winner though.

even though it was a 5-1...there wasn't many angles that were good for J.J. to pass to yet...it was gunna take multiple passes to get the points...I was told in HS that on a fast break if there is not a visable lay up oppertunity take a comfortable jump shot and don't force shit..nice play J.J.

Redick can shoot that 3 better than his 2. He can stepback and fire better than he can drive and layup. What sense does it make to make him do something he's not as good as because its standard practice.
